starting my first bug out bag. Thanks for giving me some new ideas! Never thought about having a fanny pack as an extra. Great video!
I love watching new videos on “Bug out bags/ Get home bags”. I have my get home a which is a 511 rush series, but I mostly carry my 511 V10 sling bag. I pretty much have everything you carry also. I also carry a pair of binoculars, you never know when you might need those 👍great content
Great kit! Needs Spare Wool blend Socks, Gloves, Safety Rated Sunglasses, 2 Instant Oatmeal Packets, and Emergency Cash.
Great suggestions. Adding those tomorrow
Bug head net is always in my kit, great set up.
Great pack. Don't see many with the extra bum bag. Personally think it's a great idea in case you get separated from your backpack. I have the exact same Patagonia bag that stays in my car, super lightweight, and perfect for a "mini survival kit" with all the essentials.
Light, small and pretty complete... I like it! well done 😉
Love the knife and the headlamp! So much great info!
Nice kit. Always good to re-evaluate the gear you carry. Thanks for the upload.
Always!
It’s a good set up. I love how light weight it is. I would suggest food though. Not just a couple calories worth of protein bars but serious eats that will keep you fed and alert for the long haul. Everyone undervalues food for some reason. I know technically you can survive for 2.5-3 weeks without much food if any, but unless you trained your body to not need food for days or weeks on end it will take away from your performance in more ways then one. Your speed, your ability to problem solve, your endurance, awareness exc exc. even if you just give yourself 900-1000 calories a day instead of the 2000-2500 that is usually recommended you will have enough ability to survive and get through the situation. Hell, one time I was on a hiking trip, I didn’t eat for 8 hours due to being energized drinking plenty of water, and socializing with friends on the trail. I was tired and felt my stomach grown for atleast a hour but decided to work through it until we found the best camp site. I didn’t pick up my feet enough and tripped on a protruding stump that was grown over by ferns in the middle of the trail and almost busted my kneecap. My awareness wasn’t as attuned due to lack of nutrition even with all the water I consumed (bout 115 oz over 8 hours) I ate when I got to camp and felt just how much better my body felt and my ability to think and problem solve. Even if you just eat light weight backpacking meals freeze dried it’s not a deal breaker in weight.
Great add. Doing this now.
Great gear list. I like to watch these videos so it's like a checklist for my own stuff. I have the Esee 4 clip point which is great for making fine scrapings to start a fire.
Esee 4 is an awesome knife. Good kit, lightweight and mobile.
I really like how much thought you put into this. And it’s nice that you give succinct info without any politics. Bravo
Lightweight and smart kit
Well done sir!!!
Quality at its best!!! ❤❤❤
This is very useful. Thanks for posting.
Looks ideal. Trying to get something similar organised for myself
Nice video mate. Some nice gear in your pack.
I subscribed. Thank you for your video. Always interested in what works for others!
Oh, I hope I won!
Always good to check the gear you carry to make sure everything is working properly keep up the great videos
Always!
Well yes, I would love a ESEE-4!
Bugs can ruin any trip. I have about as many big repellent items in my bag as well.
Good to always be ready.
Good to see you still uploading. Your content is some of the best in my opinion
Thank you sir! I try!
Every time I think you are officially done, you come back lol
Wolf Pack is Forever
Awesome content!
Great video on your kit evaluation. May I suggest a couple of redundances in your "fanny" pack if that's ok? An SOL emergency blanket (XL), Suunto or Silva mini compass, stormproof matches. How about an emergency whistle as well (if you get separated from your wife or group). You do not have to get the brands I mentioned, get ones that work for you. I as well would love an ESEE 4 🙂
Great additions
I do like the multi pack idea, and dig that micro headlamp. Fun vid.
First video I felt like I could relate to. Great work!
Welcome!
Great Kit man
Hey guys love the videos!
Very informative, appreciate it
Looking forward to your future videos!
Just found this. Love it!!
Not bad! Maybe include a few bungee cords for quick tent set up.
Informative and beneficial video!
Very informative video. Thank you.
Awesome! I need to do an audit on my bags!
Never a bad idea to audit your gear

Welcome!
If you are going to have a pen, include a piece of parchment paper, it is waterproof so you don't lose your notes or hand drawn maps.
Looks great get home bag
great knife, and vid
Some pretty nice gear
Nice kit.
Nice variety of items in your bag!
Thank you! 🤗
Great info
Nice loadout.
Good stuff. Use a smaller spritzer bottle for your bug stray could reduce weight and volume. Having a multitool that has scissors could be handy. Roll up dump pouch to gather is nice. Thanks for showing your set up. Gives great ideas.
Great tip!
Might recommend for weight, space and leakage, bug wipes (can do diy too)!
New subscriber. Love the content
Welcome!
I love that you are talking about a (bob) bag for your wife, I am going through stuff right now to update my wife's (bob) bag I made for her several years ago, remember regular maintenance is key to make sure everything is in good working order and ready for use! 👍🏼
That’s right!
What's your shown in your bag up bag I'm going to adding to mine . thank you for no suggestions . Also I want to recommend Grail titanium water bottle . To replace your squeeze water bottle filters you have .😎
With the bug spray, I agree is essential. However, the bugs crawling on you at night are why I bought the Snugpak Jungle sleeping bag that has a bug net over the face compartment. That's what is recommended for those worried about insects.
Awesome
A knife like that would be awesome, but it’s a bit expensive at the moment
My kit is far more detailed but that is a good base. You may want to consider having a better med kit. Also a small ezbit stove is very handy.
Hoping for more videos to watch.. God bless..
think about adding a shemag
Thanks for the update. Is that your wife's get home bag? I know that men don't generally need toiletries, but My wife insisted that her bag have a toiletries bag, change of undies and $200 so she could get a hotel if she needed it. If the bag is yours, an extra pair of underwear and socks might be valuable, and a small pack of Venture Wipes or Dude Wipes could help, also. I didn't see if you had a backup battery for your phone, but a backup battery, cord and wall-wort is in my Get Home Kits.
Great additions
Have you tried the Grayl water filter? Thanks for the video!
Dan! I have. I hate it.
Way too hard to press. Doesn’t hold enough water. And the filter dies too quickly. I’ll do a review soon.
How’s that ESEE holding up?
@@WolfinProgress The knife is holding up well. It is in full service with my son-in-law(police tac officer) he was in need and couldn't afford a proper knife. I gifted it to him to help keep him safe.
@@dangudgeon3833 good man. Glad it’s keeping our streets safe
What is the headlight
The fanny is a good idea, or a chest pouch
Love both
Want one
First time you called the write in the rain pen a pad I thought it was just a slip. Then you pulled out the pad and said "this will go with the write in the rain pad". Then you pulled out another pen and said "another write in the rain pad". Odd that's what I took away from this video.
bug out bag here means you really wwant to stay out of any bug path
I luv my zippo
what exactly is a cutting knife???
😆 as opposed to a butter knife
Kitchen sink?
Less than 15 pounds Edward
Please be careful with that clotting stuff, it can kill you!
Great video !
