I was a just a new Christian but I volunteered to be a counselor and prayer partner for the Billy Graham movie Time To Run for a week at a local movie theater. I had the honor to pray with people to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior after each show. It still believes me to this day. Jesus loves you and I do too! 🙏🏼🔥🙏🏼

Randy's early music is amazing. It is fun to see how he has grown over the years.

I have not seen that movie, but I played its soundtrack for the first time this morning and heard that song. It motivated me to ask a question I asked in a separate comment. Have a blessed day, Mark.

But Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 quote the dying Jesus as saying "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" That does not sound like the "I love you" repetition this song says Jesus said to future people when He died. It sounds like Jesus did not want to die. If Jesus was repeating "I love you," that meant He knew that His dying would be saving others. But if Jesus wanted God to save Him from dying, as that Bible quote I cited indicates, then therefore Jesus meant He did not want others to be saved, which would mean He didn't really love them. So how can the quote from Randy's song, and the Bible quote I cited, both be true?

So this must be another song that Larry ripped off of Randy that Larry recorded in 76

They were friends. Recording another artist's song is a tribute, and puts $ in the songwriter's pocket through publishing and writing royalties. In no way is that a "rip off".
