To answer the question ‘why you would want to use a mouse and keyboard?’ I find using a mouse a far more immersive and natural experience than looking around with a stick. Moving from mouse to controller feels restrictive and artificial and moving from controller to mouse is a better experience of the in game world…for me at least 👍
I know this is your opinion and I respect that but aren't games and keyboards artificial I don't get what you mean when you say "it feels restricted and artificial"
@Keiw Studios I mean what I say; but I'm happy to elaborate. A gaming experience is invariably a form of simulation, so anything that contributes to a suspension of disbelief and adds to the immersion must surely be considered a good thing. I think this applies to using a mouse when compared to a controller, which - by comparison - feels restrictive (less precise) and artificial (less aligned with natural freedom and speed of head movement).
I play on controller but I still like the option to use mouse and keyboard
They also don't break as easy as a controller does
Controllers get stick drift or buttons become unresponsive
Edit:it's also a cheaper alternative for people that can't afford a very expensive Controller

I hate the ps5 it's an I-phone compatibility wise and a controllers a controller it will never reach a mouse aim wise and a keyboard will never reach a controller movement wise, that being said it'd be nice if the controllers didn't break every 6 to 8 months .....
As someone who owns a PS5 and a gaming laptop, 9 times out of 10, I always play on my PS5 because the experience is so seamless. No need to download graphics drivers. Just have a controller, a 120Hz display and that's it. You're good to go. And it's so damn easy to download the games.

I have a ps5 and I use m&k for mw2. I don’t like the feeling of treating the ps5 like a pc but at the same time it feels more natural to me and I don’t feel restricted compared to playing on a controller. Either way they’re game systems and regardless of what is natively supposed to be used it all boils down to what’s more comfortable for you . Many can’t afford a 2k+ gaming pc so sometimes we have to improvise 😂

you can return to the menu using the 'Pause/break' key and reach broadcasting and screenshots using the 'print screen' key, the option button on the dualsense is the 'F3' key i'm using a hyper x alloy tkl keyboard and a razer viper ultimate and they both work fine even tho the mouse is wireless. hope someone finds this helpful :P
this comment section is nuts, someone else said there isn't a browser on the PS5 when there is in fact one -- send yourself a link in a PS message and it opens in the PS5 internet browser
@@thejulianexperience thats patched now. I found a way out to google by going to where you link different accounts and selecting the youtube one. then its just as simple as navigating privacy policies and finding the google button.
As someone with a PS5, this is a definite no. No browser means an immediate no for me. I need my PC still for a ton of things that the PS5 sadly cannot do.
How tf you expect a "gaming" console to access browser? It means you're just someone with less than two braincells if you went for a gaming console which is obviously for gaming and expect browsing
@@okami9039 would agree with you except the ps3 had a fully functioning browser which actually worked as you would expect. I used it for youtube and downloading mp3 and themes for the ps3 itself. It wasn't a replacement for a typical desktop, but it was nice.

I own a PlayStation 5 and a personal computer. I love all of them, but I definitely like the PlayStation more because it is geared towards gaming. No more. The computer if I turn it on, it distracts me to do many things more than playing.

Yes so when I did this, do exit out you had to press the “pause/break button”. Unfortunately, this is only on full sized keyboards, so it won’t Work for everyone

If you press the pause key on your keyboard, that'll take you to the home screen or the quick home screen depending on if you press or hold. Might have to use fn key

the way to go to the home screen is the pause break button on keyboard,and the other menu can be opened with print screen button
3080 TI with Ryzen 5600x and 120 hz 4k monitor. I prefer my ps5 though 😊😂 It really comes down to user experience. Very similar to how some people prefer Mac to Windows despite the limitations of the Apple ecosystem. I know my ps5 cannot perform to the same standard as my PC but is not the only factor I consider when I sit down to play. Cheers!

on PS5 using keyboard you can go to dashboard by pressing the Pause key. For screenshots press the Printscreen key on the keyboard. Not available on 60% or TKL keyboards. For recording videos press print screen twice.

a useful tip to go to the home screen with the keyboard and mouse is you actually need to press prtscrn to got to the home screen. its the same with the ps4.

I was contemplating buying the PS5 or the nintendo OLED. I have the Nintendo switch lite and it’s great but can’t hook up to my monitor. A PC is cool but it’s not my preference. Also, very expensive. I wanted something different for my game desk because I don’t plan on using my workstation as my game station, so thanks for this video.
It seems to be a wireless driver issue on part of the keyboard and mouse manufacturers. Generally the implementation of a wired keyboard and or mouse will be almost if not always universal, however in the case of a wireless peripheral, there can be numerous optimizations that only exist on windows machines. Furthermore due to the fact that ps5 OS is linux based it is more likely to have issues familiar to a linux environment. Though it should be noted that Ps5 OS is running on a highly customized linux kernel.

As a lifetime PC user, a PS is worth it. If you only play games obviously. Even if you are a youtuber and want to record for youtube still the console it far better for its price. Spending over 2k+ for a pc just so you could play games at max graphics is dumb and I have realised it pretty late.

As a ps5 user I admit it sucks that barely any games support keyboard and mouse but I understand why. they kinda expect u to mostly use controller on a console anyways, they want you to feel the vibrations, or for the ps5 controller the thingy that is like vibration but better on the dualsence... although it really sucks its like that though I personally think It's not worth spending like 1.8k just so I can have more games That i probaly will only end up using the games that are everywhere like, ark, fortnite, cod etc etc. but I kinda wanna learn keyboard :/
I have a wired keyboard and mouse and they work great on PS5. Sure you can only use it for select game titles, but the experience is near to flawless .

My wired Corsair K70 Pro Mini keyboard doesn't work with the PS5. Neither does the Logitech Vertical MX and Triathon mouse. Too bad. I'm going back to Steam Deck to play FPS games using my keyboard/mouse.

I have a next gen series console and a gaming pc I got as a pre-built that I'm using as a formate to go off of to build a custom built I'm 75% done just need to upgrade the gpu and cpu with motherboard my pc has a EVGA GeForce gtx 1050ti with 11th gen intel i5 with msi motherboard and tbh thats only a mid range combo right there for gaming and it runs smoother then my next gen series console by a milestone and with pc you can do 10× more on it then a console also there is endless upgrades you can do to alway keep it up to the best specs anything brakes you don't gotta get a new pc just new part then your good to go also I new nothing a month ago now I can build a pc all by myself we got it so easy these days! Compare to 15 yrs ago

my pc have a 2080 and i9900k, from my experience of playing cod mw 2019 it runs smoothly but it crashed alot. I have no idea why. So I am trying to know if a ps5 cod mouse and keyboard support is good. As I played bf and cod back in the day and ps games are pretty stable.
You could try to lower your settings, and also may be that you need a better cooling fan if it’s overheating.
Let’s be real, you get consoles only for the exclusive IP that doesn’t drop on other platforms, or release much later. My ps4 pro is for my mh world, horizon zero dawn, bloodborne, ghost of tsushima, god of war. switch is for pokemon, zelda, monster hunter.

My thing about pc v consoles is (at least in my case) everybody is playing ports of a pc game anyways like hunt showdown hell let loose dayz pubg ect. So other than the fact a ps5 is at least half the price you might as well just get a pc if you're gunna play pc games. Plus it's so much easier to switch between the game and Spotify or whatever other tabs you have open, you have mod support for a lot of games if you want it, and graphics are a lot better. Consoles are still great but you're gunna get a way better experience on a pc in my opinion

When you compare the two pc just has way to many cons to consider especially the constant trouble shooting when something is not working. Also sitting on a desk with mouse and keyboard is much worse than laying on comfy couch with controller.
The series x only support 125mhz polling rate for the gaming mouse where the ps5 support 1000 mhz polling rate..
I have PS5 and PC, for me it’s same experience when i play CoD. I use m&k with 0 input lag, so for me it’s great. But if you want 4k 60 fps gaming you’ll need a PC.
Ps5 can give 4k 120 fps as well

I think that PS5 is a system orientated only for gaming with a dual sense controller and a Sony TV. The system is well optimised in order to take advance to the controller features are big tv’s. On the other hand, the lack of a browser is cleary a downside…

why you would want to use a mouse and keyboard? in my case is because the drift in the ps5 controller. a ps5 controller lasts without drift for approximately 600 hours or less playing first person shooters like call of duty, that means that playing moderately (2 hours a day) and only one game, the controller can last 10 months without drift. That's absurdly low considering that a console should last you about 6 years. A keyboard and mouse may cost you a bit more, but you'll never drift from those, they can be used on pc/xbox or even a future ps6, and they're easier to resell and repair. Currently there are very few games that are compatible with mouse and keyboard on ps5, but if you regularly play call of duty, fortnite, overwatch etc, it is a very good option that will save you a lot of money and headaches in the long run.
I shouldn't be the only one who can't play with mouse and keyboard :xD
