I love it! I can test myself on how much I actually understand by turning off the subtitles, as well as get a better grasp of how the language actually sounds spoken instead of just in pieces!
I love these kind of videos. Your speech is clear and relatively slow which makes it really good for Norwegian learning. There are barely any Norwegian 'day in the life' videos with English and Norwegian subtitles out there so this is great😊
I thoroughly enjoy videos where you speak in Norwegian the whole time! Also, just seeing what the life is like for a Norwegian is great too. Thank you :)
I can't tell with words how much do I appreciate this kind of content, you've been tremendously helpfull for anyone interested in learning Norwegian, for 8 years, really love the effort, (thousands) thanks.
Thanks Karin for the Norsk vlog! It's so very helpful to hear naturally spoken sentences in Norsk. When learning a word or phrase at a time it's difficult to grasp the flow of the speaking the language
Tusen takk, videoen er kjempebra! Kan du lage flere videoer som denne? What I like best about this video is it's all in Norwegian, and you speak slow, clear Norwegian with subtitles. It's very good listening practice for beginner - intermediate students. More, please!
Så hyggelig tusen takk!! Hearing you speak the language and seeing the words is so helpful to me as I learn the language, I understand how it must be hard to do it all day but just having a little is helpful. Thanks again and I look forward to your next Vlog!!!
I just wanted to let you know that I adore your videos. I watch several people that teach Norwegian but always and I do mean always enjoy yours best and after watching a couple here and there I find my self watching and re watching yours. I love the variety of topics and the fact that you say things clearly, not too fast and add humor and personality. some people sound like robots you make the videos fun.. every now and then I see one that I some how missed and it is like a gift. Tusen takk for alt!!
It was super helpful to hear some more Norwegian vlogging! Skam and other shows and radio are great, but for most of the time I am in Norway... I won't be having the same conversations they have on Skam and the radio. Please make more!
yes definitely do vlogs like this again, only when you feel like it though :) it's definitely a different challenge from just sit-down talky vlogs! also, thank you for the Skam videos!
I learned english by watching all kinds of content on youtube and TV. English is available anytime anywhere. (Of course some theoretical context, reading and writing, is also necessary) I wish it was possible to learn other languages in that natural functional way. Like babies just observe and listen to their mothertongue for two years in all contexts before they slowly start speaking. Your videos contribute to fulfilling that. Keep on making them please, I'm a fan.
Karim i really like your videos , specially because the subtitules in Norks that help me to learn little more the language ; and also because you have a lovely family that make me feel close with my husband , saludos desde Perú❤
Karin tusen takk for denne videoen. Det norsk subtitle er nyttig til meg, det hjapl meg å kjenne alle ordene som du så. Jeg elsker din vlogg fordi jeg lærte hvordan brukte du ulike ord. Jeg håper at kan lage mer vlogg.
I lived and went to school in Norway and my twelve year old son is learning Norsk from me in our country now. Your vlog is very helpful for him to learn, Tusen takk!
Using the lockdown to resume my Norwegian studies. This was great. I'm encouraged by how much I understood. Maybe I'll watch one of these in the mornings and then do more academic study in the evenings.
Loved the video ;) I am learning Norwegian by myself and it was very useful to practice my listening skills! I also loved to see how people live in Norway :)
Tusen takk! it is very helpful for us. trying to learn norwegian. (also a mother of 2 year old and pregnant while full time working so I understand how big of an effort it is for you to make and upload this) thank you!!
Tusen Takk, it's very perfect way to learn norsk language, I try to listen to native people when they are speaking, and this is than natural way to learn any language, the good thing that you are including the script and this is really helpful, please make more of this, thanks a lot.
I like these conversational style blogs. They don't have to.be a day in the life although that is great. It could also be thematic. Talking about the past, politics, schools, trends in Norway, houses ... For people not in Norway it's just good to hear you talk. The subject doesn't matter.
I also like such vlogs! It‘s nice i find that you are willing to share small snapshots of your daily and personal life with us to give us an honest impression of what a day in the life of a norwegian family member may possibly be like.
Dear Karin, i have thoroughly enjoyed this "halfway vlog". Not only it helps me improve my Norsk listening skills, but it also gives a nice view of Norway's life (specially regarding the expenses part). if you make more of these videos, i'll surely watch them Tusen takk
I love this!! Thank-you for sharing your day with us:) Wow, paternity leave is such a foreign concept to us Americans. I wish we had that here! Also, what a fun playplace for your kids, I loved the volcano slide:)
Tusen takk for the vedios. I am living in Oslo presently and your blogs are the most interesting way to learn Norwegian. It is good to learn a language as a day to day conversation. And I am taking my daughter to Eventyrfabrikken this week :) funny I found this today :D thanks for speaking slowly and understandable language.
My grandmother was full-blooded Norwegian. Her parents traveled from Norway as single people in late 1800’s to settle in the United States. They met in South Dakota & married & started a farm in Coleman, SD. My grandmother was born in 1904 in the United States. Norwegian was her first language. She didn’t learn English until she went to school. She had a lovely Norwegian accent her whole life. She died in 1986 at 82. I was 21 when she passed away. I was trying to learn Norwegian but, I might be too impatient & lazy to learn it. All the same, I love hearing you speak Norwegian, Karin. 😊
I really need more videos like this with background noises.. because you're not always gonna be in a library listening to a Norwegian speaking to you haha :)
I am so excited to have found this, I am very much a beginner, but have some experience with language learning in general (German, English, French). This works very well and is so encouraging. Thank you.
Thank you for this, it is very helpful to hear you with the translation. I realize it would make the video busier but I wouldn’t mind seeing the Norsk words + English at the same time.
This is wonderful. Helps me practice listening to Norsk. It's hard to hear when it's going g so fast and there aren't subtitles. This is perfect though.
This is helpful for me to listen to a Norwegian speaking everyday Norwegian for several minutes. I can listen to what you're saying, try to get clues about the context and vocabulary based on what I'm seeing, and (if I need help) turn on the closed captions.
Ja! Jeg likte det! It was nice to meet your family, and accompany you outside like we were there. Takk for deling av en dag i ditt liv! Jeg håper du vil gjøre flere videoer som dette. Ha det bra!
I like this vlog thing! It is nice to see a day in your life around town. For me it is nice to see the land of my ancestors and how life is there. Little facts like the cost of subway/transportation pass interest me. Tusen takk for dette! Ha det bra
I love that I can get a glimpse of what a normal day is like. Always wondered about that being a different country and everything. Also wow that is insanely expensive 98 kroners...Good deal on the public transit though our monthly pass here would be about 550 kr but that's only for bus/train.
Hey, can you make as much vlogs as possible? I'm currently learning norwegian and it helps me a lot. Btw. I love your personality. You're like sunshine. Greetings from Poland. xx
I like it! It's really helpful as I'm able to pick out words that I've learned or still mastering at. Thank you and keep it going!

Loved it!! It's been Only 2 months since i started to study Norwegian again, and i already understand almost everything that you're saying!!!
+Dimi wow! Det er veldig bra!! :D
How is that even possible? Learning a Language pretty much fluently in 2 months?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but Norwegian language sounds beautiful. I enjoy every time I hear it XD
Thanks. Your video helps me a lot. Your pace is much easier than the news and I find that I can understand about a third. I am learning at least.
