You fail to mention which side which whistle goes on? One has an open hole a d o e does not. Is there a correct placement for each? Grrrr...I already put them on when I realized maybe this is important?!
The one that looks closed goes on the passenger side and the "open" one goes on the driver's side. I don't recall if they have to be a certain distance apart though. I put them where I had room and they would get air flow through them.

The wide side faces the front of the car so it captures wind.
