Syd Barrett - Vegetable Man (Malcom Jones Mix - October 1967)

With Pink Floyd. From, Psychedelic Freak Out 1965-1974. Written by Syd on the way to the recording studio. He did not have any material for the recording session so he just wrote about his current state at that moment. Possibly the last song ever, by Syd era Pink Floyd. Let's hope Dave or Roger are sitting on some still unreleased Syd.

Wow the self realisation of where he was at is fairly evident in this song. The whole nature of LSD and the way it was pushed was to drop out of society, which sounds great until you realise that nobody else is on board lol

Who gave David Gilmour the authorization to remix this classic in 2010 and screwed up the mix! I much prefer Peter Jenner's original mix!
Gilmour wasn't even in the band when The Pink Floyd recorded "Vegetable Man"!
Gilmour also screwed up the mix on "Scream Thy Last Scream" in 2010!
The only mix that Gilmour did which was acceptable was was the 2010 "Matilda Mother" mix with the extra verse which was included in the "An Introduction To Syd Barrett" release which released in 2010.
