Onewheel will always be on top in my mind, and there's one simple reason for it; you never have to watch out for the terrain you're traversing, which you do have to on skateboards
You absolutely captured the reality of the Mini-X, complete with a solid "fall down" experience. The good roads vs. bad roads scenario, different types of sidewalk experiences and textures and they can be tough to deal with on your feet when the vibration gets too intense. Also, I haven't found a hill that I couldn't climb with absolute ease on this board. I'm a short woman weighing 154 (as the Mini-X so rudely announced to me on the app) and I get my groceries the same way, put them in a knapsack and go. I've learned to not mind the noise, I'm a fan of "The Jetsons" and I love the sound. I also realized, it doesn't bother other people because they only hear it for about 3 commercial free seconds at the most as I roll by. I'm glad to know the Mini goes faster than the one wheel, I'd be too afraid to ride one. When you see someone wipe out on that thing, it's never a gentle wipe out. I've never tried to off-road on my Mini just because off-road is not my thing, but it's good to know that it will go over grass at the highest speed. Great video!
Great work! I just compared the s to the pint cuz that’s the one I have. I don’t ever seem to need more range than 7 miles. Love my new pint and really happy to have both. Boosted for when I’m in a hurry. Pint for when I wanna chill. 👍🏻
No doubt I just need to get a mini 😎 I suspect the mini range will be a good bit less than the pint but who knows I didn’t think the pint would hold its own against the x...
That is the question! I say if you get joy from speed then it’s the boosted. If you get joy from intuitive control and smooth carving then it’s the pint.
@@krystalsperfectteeth8194 totally agree, I love his commentary and his voice, its awesome! Annnnnd he is a really cool guy in person, I got to meet him last month in NYC (ua-cam.com/video/IE1Sy6i4tbw/v-deo.html)
Recording video is also tougher on the electric skateboards because one hand is occupied with the remote. That's a big reason I make fewer eskate videos... my lack of skill in safely recording and operating a remote.
Yea that’s actually part of the reason I fell transitioning from the grass bc I was filming with my right hand and that’s my more natural remote hand. I love the hands free of the onewheel for sure!
I have an opportunity to purchase the boosted with over 400 miles for $200 so worth it or not worth it??? Also the battery firmware is 2.3.3 and was curious if it was safe to complete and update even though it's working fine.

Hey just watching this and started realizing the scenery!! I live in Greenville too!!! On S Main Street actually hahaha I’m trying to decide between a one wheel pint and boosted mini now!
well since they dont make boosted boards anymore I would prolly go pint, just know in the hills of greenville you have to go slow for many of the hills. SRT is awesome tho
Hey, I ll be going to university soon as was wondering what would be the best board in your opinion, the One wheel pint or Exway Flex or the Boosted mini. Considering the safety what's your opinion
It depends on the surfaces that you have if you have lots of smooth paths the exway would be fine and prolly the safest and fastest if you ever need to rush. buuuut the pint is very maneuverable so if there are lots of ppl to avoid the pint would be better once you get the hang of it, but its a little less safe because of the nosedive potential...always a trade off but i suspect whatever you choose you will really like!
Hah sweet video man! awesome job for me I try to avoid the wet water on the ground cuz I feel like my belts will start to rip or tear a part so I don't ride it in the rain at all.and 2 days i had some teenagers trying out my board cuz they dont own one yet and they always wanted to try it so I made there night for letting them ride my board haha ":)
Great ride! Still think you're a bit crazy riding in traffic around G'ville. Drivers almost seem predatory in their reactions to anything that isn't a car being on the road. That Swamp Rabbit extension bridge over Laurens Rd is going to make that little ride a lot safer for you!
Oh man your not lying I can’t wait for that bridge! I feel much better on the boosted on the streets bc I get out in front of the cars and try to stay there...
@@JohnDDyer I'll have to give street riding another shot next week--as you said, the OneWheel isn't the best choice for staying ahead of traffic flow. The battery sag on my Evolve GTX has unfortunately made it almost worthless for any area with hills (all of downtown.) Ordered a Metroboard X that should hopefully ship this week. Looking forward to digging into it.
yeah, I'm getting a onewheel xr because I live in a countryside/suburban area and a boosted just wouldn't work. also you said a big difference between the onewheel and boosted is speed, but the XR goes 18 mph, so not bad. buuuut I can see the problem with a pint
Yea the pint does feel a bit slow for sure at about 13 mph but for half the price it’s still pretty awesome. 18 is pretty fast for the XR tho I think pushback comes in around 15-16mph right?
Considering the title I'm disappointed that we did not get to see you ride the one wheel to see for ourselves. To go along with the comments. Pint, when I’m traveling I never know if I’m going to have smooth roads so I always would rather a onewheel to explore. The only problem with both I flying... you can technically fly with the pint bc the battery is small enough but most airlines don’t allow electric boards...the mini x battery is too big but it’s super easy to remove and just ship. I have done that a bunch of times...
I will slightly disagree on the slowing traffic down in downtown areas. Depending on where you live of course. People around here seem to be totally averse to speed limits. The road I live on constantly has people going 30-45 down it and it's a 25 mph road. It sucks. I can't ride my Pint on it safely.
Yea that makes sense. I guess I don’t slow them down either I’m just at an increased death risk lol. That the nice thing about the skateboards at times is I can either get out in front and stay there or time lights right to get safely through areas without bike lanes before cars come. I can never do that on the pint. The nice thing about the pint tho is it’s totally fine an sidewalks and skateboards suck there..
Yea Matt I totally get it. The noise of the boosted is helpful sometimes for sure but I still hate it when people are on a peaceful walk in the park... makes me nervous they will be more likely to complain and then ban them you know...
I hear that all the time. I have seriously thought about it, if I’m being honest people just look weird on them to me. That’s the main reason I haven’t got one
@@redboyjan I'm questioning whether or not I should go ahead and pay for 1-day shipping. I've heard that some people have had to wait a very long time to receive their order.

I would choose any of the longboards. If you can afford I the stealth to just get the extra speed. I would have never thought that when I got my V2 but after a year I want faster lol
yea for sure but Im not really good on a skateboard (my first one was my Boosted V2 a little less than 2 years ago). So for me the Mini is less stable and im not good enough to utilize its maneuverability. Plus the mini is much stiffer and not as forgiving on bumpy roads etc. I might make a similar grocery run on my longboard now that I think about it :)
U should totally get an EUC to test, I think it’s the best out of OW and boosted board. I recommend the kingsong 16s (here’s a video link ua-cam.com/video/XKBWrSJnAHU/v-deo.html ), you won’t regret it 👌 They are all terrain and for the kingsong 16s which is 1000 bucks you get 25mph top speed, has a range of 40 miles + a 1200W motor, all terrain(climbs steep hills easily), very portable and easy to walk around with, and it is a lot of fun!
Yea man I def want to try out a EUC! I will say one of the reasons I never looked into them was just seeing people on them I thought they looked really odd but I have only heard good things about them from people that rode them!
