After seeing that scene I think Reach getting glassed is the right choice.
I think the nudity and lack of action in this show come from the fact that it was originally going to be a Showtime series and had to use the assets from there for this season. Looking at their programming, they don't have anything as action-packed as something like Halo, and Showtime has a lot of nudity in their shows. These things could explain why the show has certain things in it that are out of place for Halo (probably with Showtime wanting to reach it's usual audience), and I hope that season 2 being a fully Paramount+ season will allow them to change it up. I like a lot of stuff in this show for what it is, but it definitely could be better.

I think the original script was meant for Mass Effect. After Andromeda cratered, they probably altered the script in order to salvage what was left

@@Autobotmatt428 I concur on this. Was there any evidence such a thing was happening? Granted all the nudity would fit mASS Effect, but would the pointless rebel plot, the Forerunner angle (presumably the Protheans) the bad UNSC angle, and what the hell would the Covenant be in a Mass Effect setting? Not enough lines up for it to be a repurpose script.

Hi HC, waiting for the Halo Infinite Breakdown part 3
I have been an anti-negativity and skeptic with this show since before it started "Just give it a chance!" I would say. Episode 8 honestly broke me. My good-will has dried up. Im still finishing this series but so much more should have been done with this show. It peaked at Ep5 for me honestly.
@sly dankass also the rebel plot was completely superfluous. Plus no fault on the actress but Kwan is just insufferable almost everyone dislikes that character and it adds very little to the overall story
I'm the opposite. I had a very negative view before it started but ended up enjoying it.
I'm the opposite, sort of. I went in skeptical but wanting to enjoy it, and I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected.

I'm guessing you're very busy IRL hence just the Silver Timeline videos which makes sense it's the biggest thing right now for views.
The show is a HIT with non-gamers. Been letting newcomers to the universe know about your channel as the SOURCE for Halo related information. Isn't it great our favorite universe is mainstream now?
Well it depends
Eeehhh... So far I haven't heard of anyone praising or really getting interested in the universe with this paramount plus series around. In fact I've heard more often the opposite, where newcomers who know ONLY the tv show are confused as to why anyone would be a fan of Halo. And that hurts a lot, considering how great the canon Halo universe is.
Halo was never not mainstream.
So it's ok they get the distorted version??, When the original was a far better story. I'm a firm believer of each to their own but why would you settle for second best?.
@@jayebuss5562 It's far from second best. It's maybe the 2 trillionth "best" if the finale can be even vaguely near the canon.

When new material is released yes. I'm hoping he'll cover the Encyclopaedia and Infinite MP Season 2's story. The show is the big thing right now so making content for it gets the views. Plus he likely hasn't got time IRL right now to make core canon stuff.

If before I had doubts about the theories that this TV show was built off the script of a generic sci-fi show that never got picked up and just had the Halo theme slapped on to it, after the last episode I'm 100% sure.
Someone called it back in the first or second episode but I would never imagine that they would relly do it. What should I expect next ? That Kai will get jealous and some girl fight breaks out ? After waiting years for this to become a reality... This is the best they could do? Whoever wrote the script for this show should feel shame. It definitely deserve all the critics, backlash and low ratings. Is embarrassing and tragic that this will be the first Halo thing that many people will see.
I thought Halo the game story's as generic as it comes. Space Marine vs Alien horde then you find alien zombie virus etc etc. How much more generic you want to get? The Halo was never really that stellar to begin with as it's mostly made to pew pew fps gameplay. You have to read the books and comics to get a semblance of greater lore. But if you only played the games, then the story isn't that great or deep.
@@roastpork5437 This is true for Halo CE (which I say it have still a far superior story than the TV show ). But Halo 2 and 3 are masterpieces (especially Halo 2).

To be fair, there was a halo tv show before, halo nightfall. Given how absolutely terrible that was, I am not sure what anyone was expecting. At least that one felt like it took place in the Halo universe.
