Cameras under $150... I honestly can't think of any, and if there was a viable option, I would honestly recommend starting off with your iphone or android!

I have 650D with 50mm lens, it works great for portrait photos and etc. I think it's good choice for beginners, you'll get nice quality and results for ~130$😊

Was my first camera one year ago. Switched now to zve10 and there is really nothing more to it(in photo), just faster shutter, autofocus and better low light. a5000 Awesome camera for that price.
you can get a used canon 700d for a little under 200$ and just get a 50mm 1.8. It’s what I started on and still currently use, absolutely love the 700d
I've found plenty of kits for about that price. My Lumix GX1 was 60$. My Pentax K70 was 90$. You've just got to be able to find a good deal, and be willing to settle for what you find even if it might not be something from the system you had in mind for yourself. There isn't a system in use today that can't produce 90% of what you'll want to do as a beginner anyways.
Don't know. There are lots of cool cameras for about 150$ (canon 500D or like older DSLRs) Sure they aren't a masterpiece but still good to learn. If you have like 300$ just get a 70D or something. Y'all don't need 1000$ new cameras for the start. That's bullshit

There are some Sony Nex 5 cameras that are pretty good actually. I mean it was my first camera and Im still pleased with the photos that Im getting with it.
I wonder if you have any recommendations for cheap cameras that work well for just very clean raw images. I'm not looking to get into photography as a hobby but rather to take reference photos for traditional art and my phone camera just isn't good enough for that, it doesn't deal with exposure well, it doesn't have the best resolution so getting enough detail is difficult, it's often distorting colours massively because of a whole lot of auto adjustments I can’t turn off... it just isn't enough.
It’s actually pretty easy, look for an old canon rebel T3i. It will be a bit more when you include lenses and other peripherals, but the body shouldn’t cost you more than around $150. You can absolutely get a good beginner setup for less than $1,000
Got a canon S120 for a swap from marketplace. Same size as an iphone 4 that shoots in raw and image quality is similar with a dslr thanks to it's cmos sensor.

Cheapest quality camera I can think of is a 5Dmii or miii. You can find them for $300-$500 second hand. Full frame 20mp still pretty damn good considering the age. Video wise it’s lacking but u can hack it n get 3K 16bit raw video.

I always tell people either start with your phone or get a used camera on FB Marketplace or another locak marketplace. Im gonna be honest. You absolutely do not need a camera above $1000 for good photos. This hobby can be cheap. Any hobby can. Some of the greatest photographers make do with what they got. Of course equipment can make or break but that only really means something when doing commercial work otherwise youre free to spend at any busget and still get solid work done. Easily.
There are many good cameras you can get now for $150 or not much more.... I could list at least seven or eight DSLR's from each of Nikon , Canon , Sony and Pentax. There are even many good quality Compact System Cameras with APSC sensors for that price....At a rough guess I think I could find at least a hundred good cameras in all formats that could shoot RAW.

For begginers, what is more important then the quality of the photo it's to get familiar with the gear, with the manual control of camera, to develope the skill to be able to create a composition. So I think you didn't look to the market and you don't have the corect information.

I recently got one as a second body/sport body for 120$ very happy with it so far and the images it produces even if it's a little challenging to use.
I have the 40d from canon and for 100 dollars or less its great

You could shoot film, but those have others costs that make it difficult to get into as well.

On used market, I can see micro four third cameras selling for 150 aud ish ( an em5), its weather sealed and comes with a flash and a kit lens.
