I really love your lessons, but your fingering is so MUCH BETTER than the auto generated tab that you are presenting here. Using open A (vs fretted 5th on E) works so much better... On some videos you do point out the differences, but on some it's not so obvious. Truely, there is no One Way to play correctly, but there are simpler and there are more complex ways to play the same line. Your lessons are fantastic, and I bought one of your books (very challenging and fun) but the differences in the auto generated fingering and how you actually play it are interesting.
Thanks, Scott! The TAB is generated by a software company. I don’t really like at the TAB at all, I just mostly play it the way that makes sense to me. 👍
Interesting that your fingering does not match the tab on the screen. The chorus around 2:45, you just used the A string instead of the E! I don't read standard notation, but I do use the fancy tabs (with rhythm) as you show here. I will often make several iterations as I learn a song and decide how best to play it. Sometimes "best" means "most ergonomic" and sometimes it means "my preferred tone".
@@OnlineBassCourses "It’s mostly not the way many players would play." I think what you mean by that is that the *auto-generated* tab is not the way many players would play. In my case, I figure out how I am going to play it, then tab it out to my liking.
@@jdmarino that is what I mean but in 20 years of playing and teaching, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen ‘official’ TAB wrong or downright confusing. TAB with rhythm is pretty good but still not as good as notation. I concede that TAB is amazing if one doesn’t know how to read notation though! I couldn’t teach or write books or courses without it.
Great instruction- Cliff is one of my favorites
Thanks Daniel. I wish I could play like you, one day I will.
Thank you sir! U r a wonderful instructor
Thank you, Raj! 🙏🙏
I’m sure that Cliff was in a prog band before he joined AC/DC so he probably knew what it was first inversion! Keep up the great work!
Riff part that begins 4:45, bpms ??? I'm trying but it still too fast for me ... BPM's please ?
Sorry I’m not quite sure - don’t remember! Try googling it. Also slow it down and gradually build up the speed over time.

I hardly ever read TAB. It’s mostly not the way many players would play. There are, of course, lots of ways to play passages on the bass though.

I really don´t appreciate Tomplay sponsored videos.
What do you mean Tomplay sponsored videos? I’ve not seen one so I can’t comment.
