Aren't you glad that your law enforcement background kicked in.👍👍
I was
Thank God I check stuff also.
Good call Brandon
@@erina.09 Is that the channel name @PrimitiveSkillsnet? I'm also his fan
Very smart
Brandon the turkey has what the old people called bumble foot and that's where he was in that little cage .
That came to my mind so I pulled it up and it seemed to me that it is in chickens. No where did I find turkeys mentioned so I discounted it. Perhaps he will check it out because it may need attention.
All birds can get it
Brandon and Steph just an idea for you. As I watched you use your feed trailer and you telling the kids to be careful with the locking pin l thought what would happen if you lost that pin. It could fall into the feed buckets or get kicked by an animal. What if you placed a string or wire on it and attached it to the trailer so it will never get lost. Just a thought to try to make your life easier. Love the goats. Your children are amazing little workers. Love your channel.
Great suggestion!
A turkey's waddle being pale can indicate that it's either scared or ill. Give it a few days to get used to its new home. If his waddle is still pale, you may want to take it to the vet to have it checked on. The vet could also tell you about how old it could be. So glad you had the idea to check on the trailer before it was too late. Thank you for making us more aware of the things to watch out for when purchasing used items.
I live in the city and I definitely understand about dispatching predators for farm animals. I used to have relatives a long time ago that had a farm, and they also had to dispatch predators on their farm. I completely agree with you all. ❤ PROTECT YOUR LIVESTOCK! ❤ 👍😊👍
I have never experienced owning stolen property, but I passed that good information you gave to my grown kids. Thanks for sharing!
The redness of a Turkey can vary- often it will change on the mood of the bird- more red can show them agitated - he looks nice & calm ❤
Brandon. From what I saw on google, their face colors change according to their mood. Amale will turn deep red/purplish when feeling fiesty/mateing.--------------You must be living right guys. That was a close call. You made the true owner happy I'm sure. Great work there officer.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔
❤Sure glad your law background saved you with that trailer! Oscar looks good! Stephanie did a good job extending the fenced area for the babies and mommas!❤
Yes, don't get caught with "HOT" items!!!!!!! PROTECT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!
Your video is very good, I follow Primitive Skills channel, he is also doing the same camping and survival trip as you, I find it very interesting, wish you good health and love your videos 🥰 🥰😊
@@mariacambre8971q
would have only been misdemeanor where as the guy that sold it to him committed felony!
Our Gobbles is 6 years old. He is very friendly and loving and very protective!! Thank you for giving him a wonderful home and your kids will love him. My Gobbles cows running when I call him. I never thought I could love a turkey so much.
I'm so glad every thing turned out well with the trailer. Love Oscar. The farm is looking so nice. Keep Smiling. Stay Safe. God Bless. ❤🙏
I'm happy you found a couple of gates. They will make life easier just like getting the feed bin 😊 Good thinking checking to see if the trailer was stolen 👍 I didn't know we could call for a VIN check. Thanks for the info. 😊 Beautiful turkey 🦃❤
Oh yes, we had people calling us when was a Policeman in the Army.
That turkey looks like a Spanish grey! I don’t know but I watch a lot of farmstead videos and I think it’s what they call them. I hope he does well for you! I’m so glad you avoided the trailer!😂 glad you had the knowledge to know better! Y’all please pray for my boyfriend he’s having angioplasty in the morning on his right leg. Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤
I miss my turkey! They are very personable and vocal. Hopefully, he will get better as he walks freely now
Oscar is a good name for an old, fat turkey lurkey! Good save on the trailer! The owner is going to be tickled to get it back.! All of your animals are so special but goats have a special place in my heart. My uncle had one that followed him everywhere! It even went when he walked downtown and would wait for him outside the store! My pony was a different story. He would bust down the fence and eat gardens. More than once he was led home tied to the bumper of a squad car. Mother found him a new home. LOL
You’ve reached 50,000 congrats. Wow we’re happy you listened to your inner voice to check vin #. Great day on the farm. Blessings to you both. ❤❤
The Tom Turkey, he is very handsome Brandon congratulations on bringing him to your farm. He is lucky to be with the Eddy family where he can free-range is more healthy than being tied up with a string.
The next male pet animal you get, consider naming it Eddie Eddy. I think that would be so cute 😅
Brandon, you and Steph need not worry about what others think about what you guys have to do, you have to protect your animals and family. Oscar has inflammation and I agree he seems older. A lot of his problems could be from being caged up…sorry about the trailer but you’ll get one in due time…
Wow! I never thought to check vin number. Good catch, Brandon. God’s goodness is protecting your family. In time, your place will be wonderful. Do right, trust Jesus. And keep being a great model for your children. We’re praying for you. 🙏🏻♥️
I'm glad you briught Oscar home. He has hard time walking for now, but he will gradually get in bettercshape free ranging on your farm. ❤
U R SO RIGHT 👍👍
Love the way you bringing up your kids and family in the country so proud of you all
That is awesome your turkey is so friendly. We had 3 turkeys come over from the neighbor's one time and they wanted in my house. They stood on my patio and looked in the sliding glass door. They kept coming over. I just remember them.
So glad your training kicked in n you checked before buying and didnt get stuck with stolen property the turkey looks huge
So glad to see you getting some gates ...no more climbing over panels. Just a thought--you might want to cover the gates with some fencing, or you may have a bunch of escapees. Think Oscar is young because of the skin on his head(not sure what it is called) is still short and it is longer on more mature toms. They also have the ability to change the color of it depending on their mood. Since he is moving so slow might be a good idea to put him somewhere till he gets more agile--he looks like a sitting duck as slow as he is. Maybe check the bottoms of his feet too to see if there is a problem. Thanks
That’s all part of homesteading is getting rid of danger that threatens your animals people need to realise that . I truly enjoy your videos ❤️🇦🇺
Your turkey looks pretty old. He's missing his beard and some of his red gobbles.
He is very lucky to have a good home with the Eddy family. He's also lucky to have survived through a lot of Thanksgivings. ❤
Glad you found out now. It’s awful that we all have to be so suspicious of people. You really have to be careful. Thank you Brandon. You all have a blessed weekend❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
Great video. Glad you didn’t buy that trailer! Love Oscar! He’ll adjust to his new home. Wow that new feeder really saves a lot of time for you. Have a great evening. ❤❤
Close call on that trailer but your instincts saved the day. Glad your kids will know where their food comes from, good job.
The turkey is really older than you think. But I know y’all will give him a good life
Have a great evening
I am glad you didn't buy the trailer. I love the name Oscar! It suits him fine! Your family is awesome. I follow Cog Hill, Our Brown homestead. All of Lester's family. It brightens up lots of my day! Thank y'all
Never purchased a stolen item so thank you for the valuable information.. love how nice your farm is looking.. good job everyone 👍
Nice looking turkey Brandon, but those red things is waddles or whatever they’re called from what I’ve seen on other channels they only get red when they’re mad so you don’t wanna see him Red lol. I love watching the baby goats. They’re so adorable. I love how friendly and sweet Badgers getting.
Brandon, Your Deputy training and years of experience came through. Thank you for sharing this with us. It was very in formative and definitely something to remember. Oscar is a big turkey. He is going to love living on the farm. I bet soon he will be strutting along like he owns the place. Lol. Blessings to you all. ❤
Really proud of you for having a foresight to check the Vin number on that trailer. A lot of people would’ve just gone for the excellent deal and then found himself in trouble down the road. You are so wise. God will bless you in time with a trailer as he has been blessing you all along in your new journey.
Glad to see a Turkey on your farm, and I like the name Oscar.❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Thank God for His protection! You set aside the temptation of a great deal on something you really need and did the right thing by doing a VIN check. You really dodged a bullet. Just seemed like you seeded that deer plot and now everything is green! I hope you figure out what’s going on with the turkey. Great video! God bless you all!❤
Congratulations on the new turkey to the farm I'm so glad everything turned out well with the trailer
Wonder if the turkey could be put in with the guineas and they all be trained to go out and come in to their enclosure. ( little by little) as K & S did with theirs.😊
Love how when you opened the feed door, the llamas heard it across the driveway!
Might pay to attach a bit of panel to the gates Brandon so nothing can get in or out through the bars 😊good catch on the trailer lucky for you guys that you checked and Oscar is certainly sweet pretty sure their face is only red when they are up for mating or angry.
Great Video.Thank You for the information about the vin#. Love everything you are doing to build up you homestead and protecting your family and animals.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you didn't buy the trailer the turkey looks nice Oscar is a good name glad you got a couple of gates you all take a real good care of your animals you have to do what you have to do to protect your animals love your family ❤
If you get venison, make sausage. Good luck with the hunting. God bless you. If people complain about how you take care of predators, oh well, if they don't like it they don't have to watch. Just keep doing it the way you do, you have the kids to protect.
I truly think you saved Oscar. The poor turkey looks like he was raised in cage confinement only. His feet look swollen. I pray he is healthy. ❤
Get him a lady. Oscar needs a lady. They are real good for keeping the birds away❤
I'm glad your Spidey senses were working cause it would be awful to hear you had been arrested 😅😮 Ol' Fred is going to taste good this winter. I was born on a farm and we never named our cows and pigs. Just Here cow or here piggy 😊 That's farm life !!
So glad you caught it before you spent the money. Welcome Oscar!
So glad you caught it before you paid for the trailer, Brandon. Always enjoy your videos. Makes my dialysis treatment go by easier.
I am almost positive he is older, their heads are not always red, it depends on their mood, also he looks like he has been beat up. Good news is he is at a good place to get well and if you can get him a couple of ladies he will love that. give him the same feed as the chickens and give him a safe place to sleep and run and hide when he needs to. Thanks for giving him a great home.
WOW as in HOLY COW WOW!!! Yea boy! Now that's what I call a feed lot!👍👍
Brandon, thank you MUCHLY for the police tip on the VIN! ALWAYS appreciate these kind of life lessons!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I hope the gates aren't stolen too.
This is probably one of the best videos you’ve done. Really enjoyed it. I am so grateful to God that he protected you and gave you the wisdom to check on that trailer. You gave really good info to us about stolen things. I am thankful to you. I really like you and Steph and the kids. You are a good family. I pray the blessings of God over you both and the kids.oh yes, I like the gates. Everything you do to improve your farm is good . Doesn’t matter if others don’t like them. You do and that’s what matters! Keep on keeping on Brandon. Prayers and blessings from the AOKC Grandmother. Oh yea, thank you for letting us know how you and Steph kid around with each other. It helped me to understand y’all a lot better. ❤
Glad you got it checked out before you bought it. Like you said if it looks to good to be true it probably is. Love Oscar. The chicken run looks like it's working good for Y'all. You do what you have to do to take care of your family and your animals. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Great catch on that trailer. Hope the turkey gets better and happier now that he is free.
Oscar is a good looking young Broad-breasted Bronze turkey. They were grown/developed from the Standard Bronze turkeys to grow fast, and large breasted to feed the troops in the 1940's by my grandfather and his brother -Theodore & Virgil Lorenz, in Hitchcock, OK.
They were replaced in the 1960's by the Broad-breasted white turkey for commercial applications by large corporations for Thanksgiving and Christmas birds, because people preferred the lighter skin color under the feathers.
They are the turkey equivalent of a "Cornish Cross" or "Red Ranger" chicken meat bird.
❤ to the family! I love your new feed trailer, 😍 Congratulations! 👏
Awesome video ,we learn something new everyday 😊❤
Absolutely love the new coop.
Hi Steph and Brandon, that new chicken run should work out good for you guys. A turkey, I thought the new animal was the second pig I saw on Steph’s video. He is a good looking turkey. I love your truck in the background it sure looks shiny. Your food plot looks really good, I hope it really attracts the deer for your hunting. I am glad you checked that trailer Brandon, your experience with the law sure saved you there. Love you guys. ❤️❤️👍👍🐓🐓🐓🐓🇨🇦
The colors change on the turkeys, necks & heads, depending on their moods!
I’m so glad you got a check on that vin #. Love watching you guys. ❤️
So glad the cop instincts kept you from getting ripped off!!!! I like your turkey! I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great evening!!
I know how you all feel I don’t like to borrow either. It is good to have your own if you can afford it. When you are just starting out sometimes you have to start out slow, and do just what you can do. I think y’all are doing great. I pray God blesses you even more.
I have never bought anything stolen. You sure handled it the right way. The turkey may be a female. I don't think it looks too big tho. All your animals look great. 💞
so glad you used your brain and called about the trailer
I've subscribed to your channel a couple of days ago anyway I just wanted to say I pray that whatever the issue is with your stomach that it is found and taken care of my husband is going to see a doctor as well because he's having stomach issues I keep you and my husband uplifted in prayers that it isn't anything serious and that it can get taken care of very soon
Hi Brandon and Stephanie, im so happy that y'all brought that turkey 🦃 home. Its sad to think he was in a cage 😞 but now he can run free on your farm 😃 hopefully he'll lose a little weight and be easier for him to walk. He's beautiful. Thank the Lord above that y'all came out ok on that trailer deal 🙏 and with your background Brandon, your knowledge really helped in that situation. Ok, I don't like hunting for sport 😡 but eating what you kill, I have no problem with. And as far as possum's, and other preditors, you have a duty to protect your personal, loved animals. Everything is really looking great on your farm, Im so happy and excited for y'all 😁. OH OH OH, and CONGRATS ON REACHING 50.000!!! WHOO-HOO, Now maybe in a few months or so y'all can get your next BIG purchase 😃 like maybe a tractor, or whatever you need!! Love and Blessings to you all ❤️🙌 Jennifer
Love your videos and enjoy watching. May the lord bless and protect you and your family. The lord will guide you and Stephanie and be at your side always
Hey, thanks for the tip. I didn't know they would run the ven # for us. On OSCAR, if you have D.E. powder him down or permecthrin dip. I feel he has mites. He might just need a female to brighten him up.
Love the coop! Turkey is cool. Don't cut the metal on the corn/deer feeder. All of that housing is there for a reason. It not only supports the corners but the motor in the middle.
Never been in situations like that. Thank you for the useful information it might save me some day.
Great video! Wow, you sure did the right thing and saved yourself a ton of problems! So glad you made that call. All the animals look great. Will miss Fred, but, his contribution to your family's health n wellbeing is gonna go a long way. Welcome Oscar, you couldn't have picked a better farm to be part of. Thanks for sharing. God Bless the Eddy Family🥰🙏❤️
Amen for God's grace and mercy!
i agree with Steph , Oscar looks like an old turkey. thanks for share'in always love watch'in....God bless..!!
Glad everything worked out. I would’ve named him T~Bird 😊
T bird is perfect!!
Thank God blessings that everything turned out just fine 🙏
You are right raising your own meat will taste so much better! Can’t wait to see y’all experience it.
That turkey looks like he was being fattened up for Thanksgiving dinner! Hope he doesn't end up as dinner to the Coyotes. Love all the little improvements you've been making. It's really come a long way this summer. Hope you find a trailer soon.
GOD is watching over you and your family
When the turkey gets mad the red will be very red. 💖💖👍👍💖💖 That trailer was a close call, I don't know a lot about turkeys but ask Daniel Arms about Oscar. 💖💖👍👍💖💖
I’m so glad everything worked out with with the mll',,❤❤❤❤❤🐓🐓🐓🐐🐐🐐
Call him Tinder. The turkeys usually only get red when they are angry with someone or something and their head will get blue. He is a handsome guy! 🦃🦃🦃
God was looking out for good people like you, Brandon. Thank God that you did not loose your money and got yourself into a big trouble !!! 💖💖💖
You should check the bottoms of his feet for ulcers. They tend to get them when left in cages with their wastes. He sure is a cutie .
Thank you so much for this information, God bless!
Oh wow, that's a huge Mr. Gobbels, OSCAR. 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃 Biggest turkey I ever saw.. Never saw a tame turkey. They usually won't let you come with in about 10 feet from them.
Glad to hear you guys didn't get burnt.
I have had to dispatch a few possums over the years. I especially took one out when i found it tearing my favorite banty hen to pieces.
Another one was in my baby goat nursery while the mom and twin kids waited out in the cold.
Possums might eat ticks during the summer, but they go after my chickens and kids in cold weather.
Brandon you have to protect your land and animals
Red sometimes indicates fear. White is calm.
Oscar was kept in a small area that he's not used to be roaming around so maybe he will be getting around better with time.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏😉🐾
Your video is very good, I follow Primitive Skills channel, he is also doing the same camping and survival trip as you, I find it very interesting, wish you good health and love your videos 🥰 🥰
Is that the channel name @PrimitiveSkillsnet? I'm also his fan
I'm his fan from Korea
Very excited to see his new video, he hasn't released a video in a while;
Very excited to see his new video, he hasn't released a video in a while
The same goes for me
It looked like the mama goat has an open wound on her udder. You might need to doctor it.
Turkeys face neck area change color depending on their moods. Look it up and it will tell you what each color means about their mood
Normal looking wild turkey, if you let his wings grow out he may leave. His wattle is red when he’s around girls it will change colors, when scared or sick it will be pale. He might just need worming and better feed.
Good info re the stolen property -- thank you for sharing.
Thank God you found out beforehand.
Love the turkey, I have a bunch of them and they are fantastic to have, they will turn red when they are feeling in danger, scared or a predator, I love all mine, he seems like a George. Mine are Cleo, Patrick, Mo, blonde, Ginger, Frank, Lilly and Fanny, there are a few more boys that don’t have names.
Sure glad you were thinking. ❤
Glad it all worked out. Years ago My husband and his friend decided to buy a calf . When it came time to freezer camp and get our half my husband couldn't eat it, and would tell me please don't cook that beef for me. My husband would go visit that calf he made it a pet. I would make the beef in gravy an say it came from the market. But I ended up giving a lot of the beef to friends.🐄
