I clicked as soon as I saw the thumbnail. Jamie Lee and Lindsay were so convincing at mimicking each other's mannerisms, and I'm looking forward to seeing them reunite for the upcoming sequel.
Superbad, Mean Girls, The Hate U Give, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Breakfast Club, Love Simon, ThE Duff, The Fault in Our Stars, Ferris Buller, Dope, and Boyz n Da Hood. It’s crazy that the best teen movies spanned from the 50s to the early 2010s and created iconic stars both dead and alive. Not saying that the 2020s didn't have their best teen movies and stars as they do as of right now, but the 20th century and half of the 21st century are more iconic.
Yes, teen movies are my favourite genre, as almost everyone can relate to the feeling of being young and confused. Hopefully, we'll get some more cracking teen films in the coming years.
@@melodi2036 The 2020s definitely had some good teen movies, but most teen content of the 2020s has mostly moved to television or the movies are either decent or trash.
Before the Netflix streaming era, I watched some movie titles such as Easy A, Freaky Friday, Juno, Mean Girls, and SuperBad on cable TV (HBO channel). They had a relatable story with good character arcs and helped me learn the English language in a fun way during my teens. Now as an adult, some of those themes resonate with me on a personal level.
I actually like the princess diaries 2 a lot more than the first I never watch the first but the sequel has more fun in it more romance and Anne is amazing in it
Thank you for singing the praises of Sing Street, pun very much intended. It's a fantastic coming of age movie with great performances, and I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy stories about music and friendship.
I had that movie on my to-watch list on Netflix, but never had the chance to watch it. I know you mentioned it multiple times, but out of curiosity, what was it about Sing Street that was special for you?
You definitely should watch it, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Well remembered. It's probably because many of the characters are relatable, the original music is sublime, and I also grew up in Ireland, though 20 years after the 80's setting.
The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants is one of my go-to favorite feel good movies ever! I’ve watched it countless times and I love it so much. It’s such a beautiful and fun storyline with an awesome cast 😂
17 Again is the most cringe movie ever 😂 And not in the it’s-a-bad-movie way. It’s the most uncomfortable cringe movie ever and I absolutely love it. Zac Efron does an insanely good job in this movie.
Perks of a Being Wallflower deserved to be top 3 at least. I like Edge of Seventeen but it's definitely not better than Perks or even Ladybird for that matter.
Teen movies of the century from my perspective that should have been added The Outsiders Center Stage High School Musical movies The Breakfast club 21 Bend it like Beckham Grease The Chronicles of Narnia Percy Jackson Aquamarine Sleepover Step up Pitch perfect movies
I hate to be that person but I’m pretty sure rotten tomatoes wasn’t around in 2004 they surely wasn’t relevant it’s only over the last couple of years that people don’t even pay attention to them anymore

Trina’s,
They are filming the sequel with both of them👍🏿
Glad to see Hairspray and 13 going on 30 on this list

50s -10s is 60 years. It's really not fair to compare a 60 year time span to a 4 year time span

I really liked it, and the songs are really catchy
imagine putting hairspray, a masterpiece, lower than twilight…

Dope , freaky friday, 13 going on 30 hairspray and a walk to remember are such great movies!
I’m a little sad that Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist didn’t make this list. That movie was so cute!
No. 6 Scott Ant-Man Lang was crying while reading it 😅
I had hope, you guys are usually pretty thorough 😭😭 Do Revenge (2022) should have been on here!! That movie is criminally underrated
Mean Girls & The Fault In Our Stars are my top 2!
Spider-Man franchise
Harry Potter franchise
Pitch Perfect
Nerve
She’s the man
I have basically seen all of these but maybe 5? but also I really loved Its Kind of a Funny Story
Hunger games..
R.I.P Donald Sutherland
Perks of a Being Wallflower deserved to be top 3 at least. I like Edge of Seventeen but it's definitely not better than Perks or even Ladybird for that matter.
11:26 that was nice 😂
17 again. Happy sunday night, Emily, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
Teen movies of the century from my perspective that should have been added
The Outsiders
Center Stage
High School Musical movies
The Breakfast club
21
Bend it like Beckham
Grease
The Chronicles of Narnia
Percy Jackson
Aquamarine
Sleepover
Step up
Pitch perfect movies
All the movies in this list came out in 2000 or later this the title of the video
My number one pick would be High school musical
Just recently, I watched High School Musical for the first time!
Yay!, I hope you enjoyed it.
Congratulations🎉
Why Superbad wasn’t on the final list is beyond me…
No. 11 - of course you had to include such movie 😂
I think Netflix’s the half of it and Amazon primes chemical hearts should be on the list
What about High School Musical & Fame (2009)? They are nice teen musical movies.
Do top 10 best tom kenny voice roles
One movie to add to that great list: Bottoms (look it up, watch it, and decide for yourself)
i love alot of movies but... WHERE IS CLUELESS?!?!
Clueless came out in 1995 thus doesn’t qualify for this list
No visual in the middle of "Princess Diaries"?
love Mean Girls
More top 20 Disney lists
Angus Thongs and perfect snogging 💋 that is all
I hate to be that person but I’m pretty sure rotten tomatoes wasn’t around in 2004 they surely wasn’t relevant it’s only over the last couple of years that people don’t even pay attention to them anymore
No. 18 - you didn't tell the plot and seems you spoiled ending
No. 13, No. 4 - you didn't tell the plot
I can´t believe that a terrible movie like The edge of seventeen is in this list and not High School Musical
Why did you spoil No Way Home? twice
One could argue one of Hunger Games videoquotes was also spoilery
🐉 "Tales from Earthsea" (2006)
Not Another Teen Movie
Thats pastor rob
faves Princess diarys and Freaky Friday where is the parent trap
That was 1998.
Did HP characters turn teens rapidly? Or naturally?
TWILIGHT and A CINDERELLA STORY are still poison for the minds of the young and naive
Superbad as an honourable mention only 🤦
Where IS She's All that ?
Ok... Spiderman is WAAAYY too low on this list
Where IS American Pie ???? Seriously
Hunger Games should be higher.
Twilight was a terrible series. Never understood the appeal.
We all knew number one.😊
Superbad just honorable mention are you for real? And where is Eurotrip?
Where is American Pie
Seriously people! We needs Divergent recognition here!!!!😤🎡
