That's a great camping spot! I guess I didn't realize that Scotland had hill/mountains like that. We were to spend a couple days there this Spring as part of our cruise, but we canceled it due to yjos whole covid thing. Hopefully we can reschedule for next year. It sucks when you can't sleep well. Hopefully you will figure out a good solution. See ya in your next adventure!
I bought a an extra wide camping cot will see if it works. Hard to justify a thermarest as I don’t camp overnight a lot, I worry I buy one and it doesn’t help...thanks for watching
I think of the robin as a dear friend departed. It meant a lot. Using a D D self inflating mat. Useless for me, my bones are agony when I camp overnight so I want to resolve it coz it is putting me off..ideas welcome Des 💡😄
@@UrbanGrrl69Maria has the same problem with mats. We got some Outwell Sleepin 7.5cm ones which she finds ok. But really she prefers that mat on top of a fold-out camping cot. You don't want to carry those cots far though! So car camping only.
Just came across your videos! Always good to see where others Scots get to in the country could you send me your email to pin point where you set up a loch drunkie as we plan to do it on the enduro bikes soon
It’s in the camping management zone of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. This area is three Lochs forest drive. This is Pitch B. You can find all the info on their website maps and photos etc www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/things-to-do/camping/get-a-permit/

That’s a pity you missed out on a great trip. Scotland is beautiful, but it rains a lot! Thanks for watching
Nice video enjoyed thanks, have you tried thermarest or exped sleep mats? Save up your pennies they r dear but worth it 👍👏

Nice camp. Loved the bit where the robin pays a visit 😁 What type of sleeping mat is it that you're having trouble with?

Does she find the cot quite good? I mostly car camp for my overnights, so I don’t mind carrying stuff if it give me comfort. What kind of cot you got?
@@UrbanGrrl69 Yes, the cot she is fine with. They were pretty cheap at Go Outdoors (the Higear Slumber ones).
I have ordered a Kampa slumber plus, 🤞
