  • A few years back I took my trusty Honda CRF250L up to the Trossachs in Scotland to ride some amazing roads. Whilst I was there I stumbled across this incredible scenic drive near Aberfoyle known locally as the "three lochs forest drive" - and although it was only short it was one of the best trails I've ever ridden! If you weren't a subscriber back then you will have missed it, so here's another chance to see the video...hope you like it!

Lovely video...also shows what a great bike the CRF is. Riding in locations like that makes you feel glad to be alive!. As much as sound/adrenaline/excitement is a big part of biking, those moments when you sit next to your pride and joy in silence and take in the view are great! Cheers TMF, Steve

I had to double take when I saw the title 'three lochs'. I used to work on the 'three lochs' estate in Scotland. However, the Estate I worked on is in Dumfries and Galloway, but in every aspect they appear identical, both having miles of forest trails.Well worth a visit. Great vid as always.

3 things.. make sure you don't say 'lock' like an Englishman (its 'loch pronouncing the ch as in chlorine..), and, yes as a local there are LOADS of tracks like this around the forests-however, sadly, this is the only one private motorised vehicles can use (the rest we ride on the mountain bikes). And finally...it doesn't always rain here, it's just what the locals tell everyone else to keep them away! :-) If you are up here again, per another poster, let us know..there are some great roads hereabouts.

Camping, I hate it. A long long time ago we were camping, for a week, in hilly terrain. First, it rained almost every day, the whole day. It rained that much that we had a little river in our tent. Everything was wet and stayed wet. Everything, including ourselves got a bit smelly. Since then, no more camping for me.
Beautiful landscapes. My memory tells me I've seen you riding a similar road but I can't remember if it was this one.
Over here, there's almost no chance you can ride such roads on a motorbike. Almost everything is protected nature reserve.
