How to get to the SECRET Island in Horizon Forbidden West

- I came across this island out of bounds while clearing the clouds on the map and thought I would share how I got to it.

But he is. try to walk, mounting and fly the same distance. It's much more fast flying, as it should be.

Hes slow due to ps4 thats one of the down sides of being a cross gen game and being held back by old weak slow hardware
Its not that bad, but i do agree i thought it would be faster, just like clawstriders.
Maybe the island is part of a future expansion to the game like Frozen wilds was in the first game. Also #1 and #36, what if they aren't in the game yet and might be in a future patch. They did left out the apex sentry scrounger.
They weren't. I got it as early as I can remember.
There was a scrounger site, near end of the map.
He always spawn as part of second group.
Once you clear the first group... linger until another group arrive with some burrowers, Sentry is the one who leading herd.
Probably from a dropped quest. Too small to be for a DLC or it might just be an extra island for something to see in the distance

@@rickmarr8784 it’s like halfway down the list. I’ve explored the whole world and got the last boss so I dunno. I’ll try to find the exact spot it’s on the list.
You can actually get to that Mammoth that was out of bounds this way. Not sure if it is still there, someone said it was gone from the map after the update. You fly as far as you can and just keep hopping up the mountain. It's funny that Horizon has the same hopping that Skyrim does, if you can find a place to hop to, you can climb anything. I don't remember if I called the bird back.
I thought I was the only one who compared the jumping to Skyrim 😂😂. Anytime I do hops up mountains like that in some games I just say “time to skyrim it” 😂😂

It is kind of strange that when the box pops up saying you're leaving the playing area but then it goes away and doesn't pop back up even when you get to the island. It should reset and you should not be able to get to this island so it's very interesting to speculate what it could be.

Tip: If the water is deep enough to where you swim instead of walk you can just drop into the water without the need of your Shieldwing and regardless of height.

Yeah, the Only invisible barrier you can't get through is the one that says Can't enter this Location.
They should put an easter egg here

Likely there was supposed to be a machine there, which would explain the red grass that lets you hide in, but the devs probably removed the machine asset last minute

That’s how you get into the Zenith base again as well. I didn’t manage to get here, but I did get my clawstrider underwater lol. I spent hours in total getting him from the Zenith base to the Horus in San Francisco. I was meant to go do it again or try to anyways and go up the other way, but I just didn’t feel like it, which is understandable haha. There’s a few out of bounds areas you can visit, probably way more than I know of and someday I hope to visit them all.
63 was glitched and they had to patch it in. One was always there though in a rebel camp.
It’s the only place, until now, outside the grid that has interaction (berries, animals). If you go to the znith base there’s nothing.
There’s a mountainous area behind the base, well I guess it depends which side you fly in from. But where the Horus is, to the right you can access a small portion of that area too. From memory it had pickable stuff.

You can also take your sunwing up to the max height and then glide to that island perfectly

Pretty impressive dude I mean I haven’t tried to get there. I didn’t even realize it was an island there but it’s impressive that you were able to get outside the map very cool hopefully it’s part of DLC maybe

There really isn’t a lot to do once you can fly. I thought there would be a bunch of interesting secrets to find and side quests but the only thing that’s opened up are more green crystals

Man. I wish someone could help me.. i did all the cauldron mission and even opened up the mount for the skydrifter but it WONT let me mount it.. dont even give me the option . Lame af
The Skydrifter is not rideable if I remember right. Only the Sunwing is rideable

Fly until you cant fly further. Then drop and hover and call the sun wing again. Done.
I think the sun wing gets you over the "wall"
Yep, I started doing that after I made the video. I didn't do any testing on the best way to make it through the wall before I made the video.
Maybe it's just the first build to show how the beach could look like...
They might have patched it it doesn't work for me
I wish I had sunwing in early new game+, that would be awesome.
But you do!! You just have to finish the mission where you capture Minerva and gain the base then you can climb the mountain and override Sunwings.

The red grass you use to hide in being on this island infers that there was most likely a machine on the island, but was removed last minute by devs

Yeah you can fast travel back if you didn't feel like flying back through the barrier.
How do you get to fly those machines? Didn’t know you could fly in this game. Really loved it!
I think you learned to fly them from a story mission. It's been awhile since I played last.

In the base in the room that Kotallo stays in there is a vent cover that can be removed. There's a hidden room with a datapoint. There is also another exit from that room that will put you in another room, it's a wall that look's like a door.

Just checked and I already got the datapoint. I didn't know that wall was a door. Are there any more walls that are doors?

I figured out how to get there too. I found something awesome there.....
If you stand right in the middle of the island, there is a tree with an etching on it that says T.R.S.
Stand with your back to that tree and face the Golden Gate Bridge.
Then press R1, R2, L1, R2, left, down, right, up, left, down, right, up, triangle really fast.
If you time it right, it starts a load screen that takes you back to before the beginning of the game where you get to play a quest where we actually see what happened to all of Aloys gear from HZD.
What happens next is you get to play the game again with all gear from HZD and the gear you've acquired from HFW (Not NG+).
Except this time through, you get to experience The Real Story. One that isn't so gosh damn predictable, anticlimactic & disappointing.....

@@williamallen7386 Agree, the story in forbidden west feels empty and quickly put together. Immortal beings coming back to earth to take it over basically.
