"Can you please winch me to something that makes sense??" 100% my most spoken sentiment when playing Snowrunner, although mine usually sounds more like "STOP WINCHING TO STUPID THINGS!!"
@@Vbluguitar I end up doing it myself basically all the time. I have had a few clutch saves with quick winching when my truck is about to flip, but more often than not it just QW's to the smallest sapling around. I recently started Wisconsin, and discovered a fresh evil of the dev's: the loose branch. This is a piece of garbage that doesn't break, but instead just slides along the ground towards you, providing no pulling power whatsoever, but also not breaking, making it possible to connect to it again and again.
The engine damage makes the fuel usage go up, thats why it's red. It doesn't leak until the tank had turned red. Some manual transmissions can pop out of gear when they get really worn out. If it was clutch slipping it would do it less at low speeds because of the lower gearing. I like the way they institute vehicle damage in snowrunner
Late to the party again but you could pick up the first truck (GMC I believe) by the lumber yard. Drive it to the warehouse to grab the metal beams since it comes with a truck bed attachment. Right next to the warehouse is a trailer with spare parts. Beams + parts would take care of that road block.
It’s probably worth noting the repair trailers and kits on the trucks will repair mechanical damage only , the panels will remain trashed . Many of my trucks are beat all to hell but mechanically sound .
Yeah just got to wach the part 1 Tip:use chevrolet kodiak c70 for saving trucks because it is cheap and has that new better tow bed Greetings from Finland!
I pulled out the GMC Kodiak and pulled/dragged it back to the shop with the stock fleetstar with street tires....took 3 hrs but I did it.... I sold it for some extra cash
Seems like a good strategy would have been to transfer all the fuel from the jeep to the fleetstar then take that to the trailer park for the fuel trailer and bring that back to the garage. Then there'd be 2 usable vehicles even before leaving the map. Once you had the chevy why not just go to the garage at Smithville dam and pay for the transmission repair? I get that you can do it for free with the trailer in black river, but that's a limited resource and if you don't use it on the pickup it will be available for something else and it would make the trip back to the black river garage much less frustrating.
Nah - we aren't doing any truck missions until we have all the maps unlocked and parts found. THEN we will unlock the GMC and have fun with it, but for now we don't need it.
Fleetstar is a really decent truck not the best but decent. I made it to the farm with trailer no 4x4, the muddy path it was difficult but it did it the locked diff helps.
So... you sold the Chevy, to buy a jeep to get the scout and sell the scout for upgrades on the jeep to get the Chevy back? Isn't it better to just get the Chevy upgrades? Chevy is good scout early on
The Jeep is a lot smaller. It fits in narrow spots and has much better starting tires. Eventually the Chevy closes the gap as you unlock levels, but at the start the Jeep with its Diff locker and 4x4 is a far better scout than the Chevy.
Awesome videos guys. I'm late but i'm watching in order.
I hope at some point to finish this series - but its taking so long!

Its SOOO bad - Half the time I just have to do it myself

Correct. You have to return it to the garage and then pay for restoration to actually fix the cosmetic damage
I like your approach!
So far its worked!
Yeah just got to wach the part 1

Greetings from Finland!
We will be once we get to that phase.
Thanks for the upload!
You bet!

That sounds painful lol
If you were going to play this solo, I would sell the Chevy and fix up the Fleetstar. The Fleetstar makes a more capable rescue vehicle,.
You should have picked up the diff lock upgrade for the Chevy it wasn't very far from where the Chevy was sitting
We will be picking up all the unlocks going forward. Just wanted to get a few things sorted first. Keep watching
cant wait to get back into this game!
well, i made a mistake, i forgot to stop playing the new save after i created it, i have $25k and im level 6
Might wanna add some royalty free music in the long drives, would help you keep the space full and don't feel pressured to talk all the time.

Its semi limited - you can refill the repair trailers at the smithville dam factory for $2 a repair point. its 3000 to fill it back up.
I would get the gmc next and move the fuel trailer to garage to use when going out on missions thats what i did worked out well

Nice video. Do you feel the fog lights make night time driving better (i.e worth temhe $500?)
absolutely, In fact I won't use trucks that don't have them available because it gets pretty dang dark at night.
Let’s cross into the Rio Grande
bad idea lol
What happened to the gmc you get to open the bridge with?
Its where it was in the normal game you have to drive to it and discover it

Its a great truck with 2 big issues. It VERY fragile, and it has a stiff suspension, so it can pretty easily bounce itself over.
