Imagine working in an office and the sentence "Oh, I remember when he did that pose, I was just making a bagel in the kitchen, and he came in and started flipping everyone off." is a logical and legitimate sentence. What a different world they live in, love it.

I have had a plan my entire life to become a marine biologist. But I have watched your guys videos for around 4-5 years now and I have always found everything you guys do absolutely fascinating. And now when I finally had the chance to get in to the education I have wanted for almost 8 years I said no. Just to start and education in 3d modeling and hopefully learn vfx in the future, and I just have to thank you guys! I really hope you keep inspiring other people to lead from your example and do what you want!

Things in mocap that always get me.
1) the head never looks like it is trying to balance on the body. It is is just like a flag on an rc car.
2) cheek compression while talking. As your jaw moves down your face gets thinner. Tron 2 had this issue in spades.
3) shoulders move in addition of the arms. Treat the shoulder and collarbone like you would the base of your thumb: another joint.
4) Lips pucker, eyebrows twitch, noses curl, and math is not enough to sell an emotion Any man can be afraid or pissed, but an actor or director knows how people READ and FEEL them best on a camera. Animators try to emulate the later while mocap films........end it with the former.............and often swing the fuck out of the camera to ruin mocap actors from "making love to the camera" to make the emotions work

The Clint model was impressively accurate as was Peter's. I think I'm most impressed with the improvements to combining all the elements (.ie face and hand acting along with the body) to make it all feel more cohesive than some of the past experiments.
Their handsome squidward looks like some kind of Meat Canyon monstrosity.
