A suggestion: Put together a video with chord shapes so you don't have to articulate the positions on every one of your lessons. You are doing a great thing here! Regards, izzy

Good lesson. When teaching this stum pattern to people, I have had good luck using almost a triplet feel count, i.e. ONE..two.. three..ONE.. two..three..ONE..two.. ONE..two.. three..ONE.. two..three..ONE..two...and so on. That way you accent on all the ones. I find it a little easier. Just a thought. Keep up the good lessons.

I worked hard on my Barr chords...Now I make them fast. Yea it took some time.
This is not for complaining or anything. Thanks for the video. However the song sounds much better if you play it with the capo in the 3rd fret going from D to A to G. Just as an advice.

Hi if u capo 3rd fret you can use D,A, an G....chorus Bm G,A ....plus the capo also puts it in the same key as the record so you can strum along to it ...xx you could use an A sus 4 if wanted on the verse sounds a bit better instead of A I'll just emphasis when I say the chords with the capo on the 3rd fret I mean these shapes just to to clarify 😘
Thanks mate. I've been wanting to learn this for a while. Finally got a chance to sit down and learn some songs and this was first cab off the rank. Also, unlike some of the comments I'm reading I'm perfectly happy to play this version and not get all butt-hurtey and music wankery about this not being the 'correct' version or some bullshit like that. This is the version I learned too. I guess she's doing a transposition.
She's playing the electric guitar part, or a slight variation of it. The acoustic guitar part in the background of the original song is with the capo at the 3rd fret playing the chord shapes you mentioned. She's not quite playing the electric part exactly as Lindsey wrote it, but her chords and essential rhythm are correct.

These are great beginner lessons, but you guys never play the song thru.
Sorry that sounds terrible your guitar is definitely out of tune..reshoot the video..what kind of guitar is that sounds cheap get a better one mahalo...and its also helpful to sing the verse and chorus and play the song in sequence for beginners and intermediates.
But the whole point is to play it correctly if you always cheat through guitar you'll never be a master

Why oh why are you playing that guitar so hard. Have you heard of light and shade. It's what gives a song soul, feeling, and emotion. This is what separates guitar players" from people who play guitar. Have you noticed that the same song played by two different people can sound so different. It's the feeling that you put into it. You play so very 1 dimensional. You're not a bad player, you just lack emotion and feeling which can only be learnt through experience.
