Should make a follow up video on how you charge your customers. Rates, taxes, receipts, customers that refuse to pay you or not satisfied with the work. Will the customer know if things have to be to code? Or are we supposed to know that? Great video btw!!!

Awhile back...I was asked to do a job. Rebuild a truck plow mount. He brought it in pieces. I work with the cat pouring concrete. Anyway. It was most definitely above my skill set...I've got no elder to look to for advice. I didn't try to lie...or cut a corner. I told him straight away that it was beyond my skill set. His look was a look of surprise really. And he said as much. He appreciated my honesty and thanked me. I suppose I could have taken the parts...flipped them up a bunch and then told him I was in to deep. And just said...it is what it is...but I have to live with myself and I have a conscience. Just saying. You talking about reputation...I just ( three days ago) had a guy stop by with work...and him finding me was through word of mouth. A good reputation is important! My word is my honor. 100% on doing the job right. I never cut corners for customers. Your always responsible for that handrail or frame or pad eye you weld. I do my best work or I just roll up and go to the next project.

@@dylandcan9665 I do not own a multi process machine. but i hear miller and esab make good multi porcess machines. i would start with a mig if you dont have the cash for that. also theres nothing wrong with a used machine.

Dont know of a better place to ask this but im looking for a cheap engine drive to get me going on some side jobs, Im not a big stick welder though I have a dc unit in the garage im pretty fluent with. Ive come across some older working AC only engine drives would you run one of them for a bit until something nicer comes along or steer clear if you were just starting on a limited budget?

I bought those truck and was blessed to get my first large contract replacing some stairways. Check out a few of my older videos. You’ll see me putting the crane to work frequently

Here in PA you're not getting on to a pipeline yard or coal mine property for less than 2 million aggregated. I have Penn National and it's outrageous, and yeah advertising in our line of work gets you lawnmowers and rusty mufflers.

Unfortunately credit card. You can usually get paid instantly and not have to chase customers around for the money like I currently am for 5k
