Tell me about it. These newer cruisers from Benda, triumph, Indian, & Honda got me turning my head. Never ever considered getting a bike until I walked past parked Indian bobber last summer.
The bike looks and sounds awesome! I'm almost done with my little mods. Dirty Bird Concept radiator cover delivered yesterday and 150 front tire and 240 tire installed over the weekend. Once I'm done getting the radiator cover painted and installed I will post my bike on UA-cam soon. Your bike was the reason I bought my motorcycle and caught the modification bug.
Not yet. I will put together something over the weekend. I was very disappointed with the Dirty Bird Concepts radiator cover not fitting correctly and will have to modify it to fit perfectly. I was hoping for a paint and install mod, but that didn't turn out as planned. Im also still in the process of trying to find someone to install the rear fender kit from Twisted Choppers. Those are the 2 major mods that I have left on my motorcycle that will please me for now or until I get the mod bug to do something else.
dam i love that floating seeeeeat! Scout Bobber is by far the sexiest midweight sport cruiser out and also like the triumph bobber but bang for your buck incomparable
I appreciate the compliment. I usually wear a skid lid or open face, but this particular day was unusually cold for South Carolina. My hands were so numb I could barely pull the clutch lever.
Drag bars from Indianaftermarket.com. The mirrors are from Ebay but I cut the mounts on the original mirrors and fabricated them on to the new mirrors.
@@oxouk thanks so much that’s why myb mine has a vibration because I did not balance the rear tire , my tire came installed from Rc components I assumed it was balance…
@@oxoukwen I lift the bike up the wheel spins freely. my wheel has no visible balance weights on the outside, , like the front one has balance weights … Do you have balance weights on the outside of yours?
Haha, I get asked about the riding position all the time. It’s very comfortable. Would I ride across country...probably not. My clutch hand usually cramps up way before any back pain.
I ride a 1200 he sportster and that’s the one thing I gripe is the lower back pain after a 1-2 hour ride. Considering jumping ship to a Indian and the way your bike looks makes me want to. Haha take care!
You have to remove the stock fender and subframe and relocate the turn signals. RC Components will sell you a kit that includes a compatible rear fender. Having a rear passenger will no longer be an option.
@@oxouk just found out the rules here in Denmark.. From 2020 License plate is required to be placed at the rear center of the bike. You think this will still be possible?
@@progressiveGREEN definitely. If you have the saddle style seat as I do, you can easily attach to “L” shaped brackets under the seat to mount the license plate. If you search my videos I’m pretty sure I have a tutorial for that application.
The riding position is surprisingly comfortable. The seat is ok, but it does raise you a couple of inches over the stock seat. That can be a good thing or bad. Also with no rear fender, the solo seat is slick. When you hit the throttle, you better hold on. Not sure I'd want to ride a great distance with this set up, but I sure do get a lot of compliments as it is.
Hey man - if you are ever interested in doing a "Why you ride / why the scout bobber'" video, let me know and I'll add your video to a vlog I'm putting together .... stay safe brother!
Nice bike man love all your videos. Quick question for your tail lights. When you deleted your rear fender did you just place an adapter plate on the rear shock bolt?
I originally had them mounted on the rear shock bolts with some cheap EBay brackets, but looking back, they stuck out too far, that’s why they are now mounted under my seat as you see in this riding video.
@@oxouk thanks a lot for your feedback I sure appreciate it. Also you have a beautiful bike,, I hope to get one soon and do the modifications that you have on yours , with a little bit of changes.... Have a nice day and thanks once again for your feedback.
Both seats are ok for short distance, but can get uncomfortable after an hour or so. With the 1920 solo seat under hard acceleration? You better hold on brother, and don’t make the mistake of cleaning your seat with a slick finish product.
You do not need to modify the swing arm, however due to the minimal clearance, the Metzeler 240 tire is the only tire that I know of that is guaranteed to fit. Others have installed different brand 240 tires that rubbed the swing arm.
Hey brother, do you experienced any vibration wen going speeds above of 50 miles per hour since you installed both front and rear wider tires ,Any kind of vibration ? Thanks
