Moral of the story
1) Tell people where you go
2) Be armed
3) Don't stop running
4) don't fuck with scarecrows.
Avoid remote places all together.
@@7prudentthe most important rule!👍🏻
5) don't leave your house, or your room, or your bed, or come out from under your covers.
@@kaufmanat1 Already doing #5 and it's working
The only thing I don’t get is why the brother wouldn’t mention the disappearing scarecrow. I mean, that wouldn’t leave my mind and yet just a few minutes later, he bumps into his sister and nonchalantly talks about it just being a ghost town, like there’s nothing to worry about. I still dig the story and that scarecrow is definitely one of the creepiest I’ve ever seen.
Because the scarecrow was the villain himself pretending like a dummy by whom the man scared at first but actually under the worn mask he is alive to deceive the others.
I really like how the plot splits into several simultaneous events. Never expected to see this in a short film.
Glad you enjoyed that! Small little thing I always like in movies personally.
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!
Literally watched twice. The cinematography and acting is spot on. You accomplished is 20 minutes what Hollywood attempts to do in two hours. Absolutely fantastic. This channel needs more love for sure ❤
Thanks so much for the kind words and for checking our films out! Really glad you're enjoying them and hope you enjoy the ones to come!
This was literally by the Hollywood book, "Horror"
What piss me off is... these directors writers and actors... are not in Hollywood and should be in Hollywood...
@@missyTL appreciate the kind words! We’re working on it, so maybe one day. Otherwise, we’ll keep making the stuff we love!
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment keep going you guys ... we're support you all the way
This deserves to be a full-length movie!
They should make a full movie out of this. Like five years later, a larger crew, comes there to find out what happened to the first small group, gone. (killed). They suspect foul play, and explore the big mystery, behind the whole town that disappeared. Lovely green pastures though.
We have a full feature planned and ready to go! Tried making it last year but the funding fell through.
@@ThinkingArtEntertainmentI have one working on too. Maybe 15 minutes long
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment is there goint to, eventually, be another (sequel) to this movie...???
😮is it complete now
Is it complete?
Solidly entertaining, solidly made and the performances nail that very specific, phony type of UA-cam influencer. The last shot is also tremendous
Thanks so much for the kind words! Appreciate you taking the time to check it out and glad you enjoyed it :)
Loved this. The direction was first-rate, the scarecrow was super creepy, and the acting was really authentic. Just incredibly well done.
This was amazing! Seriously felt like an actual movie. 10/10
Thank you for the kind words! We’re in the process of making it a full feature!
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment Yesssss!
The writing in this is pretty bad. The male lead literally sees a scarecrow dissappear in less than a second, but feels no need to talk about it, explain it away or heck even acknowledge it.
This is exactly what I was thinking
Love that they’re almost exposing the youtube content creator community for how shallow and rude they can be
This was incredible!!! AND it stars the lead actress from “Terrifier 2”!! This is my favorite short film ever!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re actively trying to make a feature adaptation so any and all support goes a long way. Thank you for watching the film!
Bro the killer actually gave me the chills. Amazing work. Hollywood has nothing on this
Fantastic work all around! The cinematography, editing, acting, everything! Congratulations to your team on a great job!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the film :D
Awesome. The perfect Slasher, short & sweet, brutally neat.
Music in this movie is astounding.
Yoooo omg!! That was and has to be the most amazing one yet! My mouth dropped towards the end, as that prop or CGI? I couldn't even tell! Has to be Hollywood work! Whoever did the ending like that. Your work is stupendous!
Wes, you've come a very long way, and every time you make these shorts. You and your crew always out do yourselves! Cannot wait to see the BTS on this one!!
Thanks so much for the kind words man! Always appreciate your support! It was a model done completely CGI haha we'll talk about it a little more in depth in the BTS!
Why are the views so low!? This was one of if not the best made short horror film I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Hope you all get the recognition you deserve, keep it up!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I guess people just haven’t discovered it yet, but I’m at least thankful that people are enjoying the short!
i don't see ANY low views?
@@ThinkingArtEntertainmentyeah these aren't recommended by YT algo. Came here from a short on Trick or Treat and binged watch all. It's so sad that UA-cam will keep recommending same old shit instead of something new and actually good
Hmm. I can honestly say that I didn’t expect this to be as good as it was. Call it the skeptic in me, but most YT horror shorts suffer from bad effects or acting. The effects were mostly practical (which is absolutely a huge positive), and excellently executed. The Directing / story was superb, and acting was PHENOMENAL.
Really appreciate you taking the time to check the film out, and for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it :D
It's not easy to make a short movie, It is quite tricky as there is always the shoestring budget involved, which can be really frustrating for any talented creative team with great ideas. It is a very big achievement and the hardwork and love that the team has put in this project can be seen in the ultimate result. It leaves the audience gasping for more.
Good enough movie that the director needs a shot in some bigger movie! Shots, timing, acting, lighting and everything is spot on. The dude wiping the nasty stuff off the branch was very (forgot word) in a good way. Oh, and the sound is spot on, better than some big budget movies.
This was amazing. Feels like I just watched a full length movie
Thanks so much for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the film!
This is so good, what the heck.
Everyone take a second and just apparicate this amazing quality ❤️
🙏🙏🙏
It was excellent all around! Why are they not making full length films!
SO TRUE
production values are really impressive . The cinematography is amazing, esp the farm/crop shots. Just beautiful. Nice "night" work. A lot of folks just do NOT know how to film darkness and it is SO frustrating to WATCH! These folks are clearly amping things up in their shorts. Sometimes, bite-size really IS the most satisfying...
We had a huuuuge ass light in the middle of the cornfield lol
Appreciate the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the film :D
Worth all the hype I had for it absolutely beautifully shot the film was scary, gory, and had a great story to wrap it up absolute treat to get into spooky season. Definitely looking out for anything this studio puts out in the future. I cannot wait.
Really appreciate you taking the time to check the film out and for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the short :D
We also Stan Lauren round here, and she's going straight to the moon!
This was more entertaining than a full length film. Please keep ‘em coming! I am all in for more👍👍👍👍
Why this short film is having less veiws
But it deserves a lot views and likes
Pure perfection! Theater worthy ! I’m definitely sharing with friends and family! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thank you so much for the kind words! Really appreciate you sharing the film around! We want to make this into a feature, so we need all the support we can get to get it off the ground.
I would give this 200%...never seen such an amazing masterpiece for a very long time. You guys are out of the world...Keep it up
I appreciate the kind words! Thanks so much for checking it out!
After 2 minute you know this is going to be classic brilliant.
Andrew, buddy you got this masked murderer thing down to an art! Killer job bro! 🔪
IT'S ALL I'VE GOT!
The actors were great, the sounddesign, the lighting, everything was so solid! The clichés were hit on the nail with perfection.
This was AWESOME, you guys did a fantastic job! A big congrats to everyone involved. That ending was 🤯🔥 (The unfortunate Lauren LaVera didn't make it out of this one..)
This was a good horror short. Only issue is that when the scarecrow went missing behind him, his action afterwords doesn’t make any sense. No one else would ever ignore that. If they end up making a real movie out of this, I would love for it to start off where this one ended.
We shot the feature version in September!
Damn another masterpiece, truly! I could watch your films all night!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Really glad you’ve been enjoying our shorts!
omgod this was incredible work all around ... the 3 actors did fantastic job but cant believe u did lauren lavera like that!!!! 😱 DIRTY!!! but for real tho ... everything was on point in this movie from the camera shots the sound and the fucken music was bang on ... hollywood give these guys a real movie please
THIS is HORROR!!! 💯☠️. I mean definitely one of the top scary films I've seen lately. It is on point, perfectly timed for the Halloween 🎃 season. The acting was great and the scarecrow killer was terrifying 👀 can't wait to see more from you.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check the film out. Really glad you enjoyed it :)
That was excellent! Really great stuff. Dude really, REALLY likes his corn. And loved the twist at the end!
I can't think of a more beautiful thing.
@@Yeagddf Is he making every human into scarecrows, or is he burying some of them. There's no way an entire corn field is full of human scarecrows without being discovered .
@@gemstar7286 I like to think The Scarecrow puts victims in there to feed the cornfield. They absorb into it. That's why it grows so well.
@@Yeagddf Yeah that explains the corn growing yet nobody being around to plant it.
Good acting (I never expected to see someone from Terrifier here), with a decent plot. I love that you took a shot at horror tropes like the farm work in an "abandoned" town, but the thing I love most, is giving scarecrows some love in horror!
This things chilled my spine .. I was literally stopping it in between to calm my self.... It was horrified at another level....
Direction, acting edits and music everything was placed and paced perfectly... The team work shines here....
Amazing work .. this film is literally my inspiration for great thriller...
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch it and for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it!
You're right?😐
One of the best short horror films I've seen in years. From the acting to the editing, the shooting, the effects, the thrill... Loved every second of it. I wanna see a continuation of this. I wanna see a long film of this. Specially if you can find a way to explain who or what the scarecrow is. Is it like a curse on the town? A demon? A vengeful spirit? Is it because of the scarecrow that the town became a ghost town? Soany possibilities. Also, it gave me some jeepers creepers vibes and I loved that. Please, give us more.
I'm not usually into the 'Slasher' genre, but this was done well. The characters felt believable, and it didn't rely on cheap jump-scares (which I hate). Good production values throughout - kudos! :)
Appreciate the kind words. And glad you stuck around despite it not being your genre of choice!
Very well done! Everything from the acting to the cinematography was phenomenal.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! Really glad you enjoyed it!
Really impressive works guys, great job.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the film :)
I’m so glad I came across a link to this, excellent work! That was wonderfully creepy, and that last shot is masterful.
Glad you came across it and enjoyed it as well! 😄
Lets gooooooooo 🎉🎉🎉
Really enjoyed it! Great work guys. Very cool SFX
Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! Glad you enjoyed it :D
GREAT VIDEO! The quality, the acting, the story. A1!
Wow! That is better than any full length movie I've watched lately! So well done!
you must not watch many movies
A-MA-ZING! I felt like I was watching a whole movie! I was hooked for 00:01 and couldn't look away. It was just... wow. The plot twists, quality of the footage, and acting was all just absolutely... Magnificent. Top tier, 10/10, just phenomenal. Wow Wow Wow
Amazing! I was deliciously terrified through the entire film!
Glad to hear that! Glad you enjoyed it :D
Unbelievable. Just as the genre of horror should be. Very well done.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nicely done! Creepy short!
Great work all around guys! -Performances, cinematography, lighting, sound, editing, Visual and Special FX, all of it! Wes love how you build tension and interest with your films, and you’ve got amazing team, as always can’t wait to see what you all do next! Also Wes and Adam, do you prefer white or blueish motivated moonlight for night scenes? I usually go bluish even though white feels more realistic, bluish seems to exaggerate the emotion (or that’s what I tell myself). Cheers!🎉
Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out Tom! Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the kind words! As far as the moon lighting goes, I am open to either - it really depends on the style and tone of the particular film. But personally, I’d lean toward white.
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment of course man! Yeah I gotta experiment with white moonlight when I get the chance! Thanks!
Really accomplished and great short. Actors were great and the monster convincing. Well done, guys
The actress from terrifier 2!!
These shorts are the best, way better than Hollywood, my congratulations 😊
I loved it. Great shock moments with equal amounts of the creepies. Lauren LaVera, who was so good in TERRIFIER 2, is equally great in this.
The ending drone shot, Revealing the other Human Scarercrows ,was amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great workk , hats offf❤❤
If not painfully bad CGI and the comical newspaper 'clippings' at the end
Really great build up! The design of the scarecrow monster was spooky as well. Nicely made short 👌
Thanks so much for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed the movie!
this is so incredibly well shot, the acting is also great. this looks like a hollywood film. and to find out that you're making a feature out of it is awesome🙏
Wow, this was awesome. Cinematography was excellent and so too was the acting and story. The BMPCC never fails to impress. Looks like a hollywood movie. Well done!
Appreciate the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it!
This had a genuine creep factor to it that is lacking in a lot of horror films with much larger budgets. The sound design and cinematography are fantastic! This needs a full-length adaptation!
We just filmed the full-length adaptation!
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment excellent! Can't wait to see it!
Great filming in that opening scene. Really did an awesome job setting the mood.
If Jeepers Creepers and Chainsaw massacre had a brother….this was really good.
Both big inspirations for this! :)
This is great! I was going to post "OMG I hate that the sister with her attitude would be the only one to escape safely" but the job is done, thanks! And honourable mention to the crop farmer who does a great job keeping his field safe from crows.🤭
FANTASTIC! Loved it!
Really glad you enjoyed it!
This is the most authentic horror short on the web.
Another great work from you guys. The way you were able to build tension with just the cinematography and some short dialog was absolutely wonderful. You didn't need useless jump scares or gore and it really worked out beautifully. I can't give you enough compliments.
yeah there were jump scares in here tho
I have no words... WOW! That was absolutely amazing, I love short horror films and this was one of the best I've ever seen...
Thanks so much for the kind works. Really appreciate you taking the time to check the film out. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Personally, I think this short film format is great for horror stuff like this. Most features tend to draw out the setup and it takes forever to get to good stuff lol. I love what you guys did here. Just enough back story to have it make sense and didn’t waste time with too much dialog.
Brilliantly done!
Lauren LaVera is fantastic and along with Jenna Ortega, i think we have our new generation of Scream Queens!
Lauren is absolutely amazing! I'm sure Jenna is as well, but I can speak for Lauren's talent and work ethic firsthand.
Jenna Ortega is in. This?was she them scarecrow?
@@stepherpeppers4078shhh… don’t give away our secret!
this is unreal WOW. everything about this was so perfect. you guys should make movies for real!
this was a pleasant surprise! one of the best short horror's ive seen on YT. my only question, is why is that girl dressed like she's going to a play date with 2 year olds?
Thanks for the kind words!

What a F****** GREAT short horror film!! 👏 👏 👏 I've just watched two short films on your channel today and I really find them awesome and professionally done. Everything is on point... like all of it. 👍

One of the best short horror films I've seen so far. It deserves to be a feature film. Excellent acting, the plot had me on edge the entire time!
Feature film is coming :)
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment Yay!
Really well executed! (No pun intended!) Loved the cinematography and sound design especially. And that ending got me.
Great work everyone!
Thanks so much for taking the time to check the film out, and for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it :D
Fantastic short horror. The ratio of high quality, low budget and seriously creepy horror shorts available on streaming services (not least here and places like Alter) versus even halfway decent full length horror films is a tad mindblowing. The number of the latter you can count on one hand. Amazing what you can do with a good story plus good (and quick!) character development.
Let me just say, the story was a bit "meh" which most found footage "I'm a content creator going to do this" videos are, but the monster you created was spot on and the dread he makes you feel is like a Friday the 13th movie. Perfect, honestly.
That was so good!! Great cinematography and acting. This is what a short film is and should be!
Wow. This was so well done on every front. Can't wait for Trick or Treat 2. Keep killing it guys. Pun intended
Thanks so much for checking it out man! Really glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely fantastic production. Good writing, acting and cinematography. Loved the mystery and suspense. Would be awesome to see as a full feature movie!
We’re filming the feature right now!
@@BuddyCaineliterally. Right. Now.
" Things, REALLY bad things begin in a corn field." Living in Rural Vermont (USA) ,cornfields are a very common thing. For some reason ,even in broad daylight, "something " feels plain "off" about a field covered in a corn crop ,especially in mid August when the corn stalks can be often seven to eight feet tall . By the way SOLID Production and a well done on the suspense build up and definitely a solid performance by the Actors.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! Really glad that you enjoyed it :D
Like in Children of the Corn?
Fantastic work🌹🌹🌹🌹
Brilliant!! Loved every second of that and the end shot gave me goosebumps
I particularly like the use you make of music and soundtracks to create a dramatic tension, which goes crescendo. Everything was done in a very professional way. The interpreters are excellent. Great art, which has nothing to envy to Hollywood blockbusters.
This feels like Urban Legend, Urbanex and Paranormal all roll into one in this short. There are a lot of channels on here that covers these things like people investigating cemetaries, ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, abandoned places, etc. Sometimes they mixed all of them up into one with the Urban Legends of Paranormal expects at abandoned ghost towns and all that.I am trying to cover all the topics on my channel myself like BigFoot, the Hinsdale Haunted House, a mass murder in Iowa, etc.
Probably the best short horror film I've ever seen alongside 'Finley'.
How well made this short film is?
I actually googled slater hill, pennsylvania missing case.
Impressive cinematography and direction. Waiting for a full length movie on this. ✌🏼
