Blutone's review of the Jet Guitars JS-400 SFG Relic.

- When I visited the Guitar Show UK, I had a list of guitars that I wanted to try out, most of which were mid range and up in price but I did have an outlier that I wanted to check out. Jet Guitars.
Jet Guitars are a budget guitar company that claims to do the following:
"JET guitars offer a premium playing experience at an affordable price."
So there must be hundreds of brands doing something similar such as Squire, Cort, Harley Benton and many more, so how is Jet going to stand out?
In this video I give my review after having borrowed the JS-400 SFG for a number of weeks.

I pretty much hate single coils, but I do see the need for one. All my guitars are humbuckers and expensive. I like the idea of a cheap decent Strat. I won't feel bad about modding it, and I won't feel bad about eventually giving it away.
This could be a good option for you then...
Have you seen my latest video? ua-cam.com/video/bXTgn7ZIMZw/v-deo.html This is talking about the Vintage V6 Icon. Worth a look!
Great review. Thanks for the detail.
Hi Joe, thanks for your comment. I am glad that you found it useful. Do you have one of these guitars or are considering getting one?
Cheers John

Your knopfler is on point! ❤
He is definitely an inspiration in terms of my finger picking! Thanks!
I have the same guitar but not reliced. An Excellent guitar and comfortable to play. The neck is heaven. I upgraded the pickups to the to then more expensive pickups but I should not have done that. The original pickup in this guitar have excellent range high and low tones. Thank you for your objective review. 9s sound good for me.
Thanks for your comment! Interesting insights about your experience. Thanks
I’ve recently got the JS600, it’s got locking tuners and Alnico pickups and with a Wilkinson trem, for mine (which was a b stock that I had trouble finding a defect) I paid £248 delivered! It needs no upgrades (except maybe I might get a roller string tree) and it plays and sounds as good as anything I’ve ever had. The only guitar that I would put in the same ballpark is a Tokai Strat I had many years ago, and ever since I sold it I have cursed that day 😂 No doubt about it they make a great guitar (or possibly Cort does), regardless of the price, I was looking at the Fender range until I saw the reviews about Jet!
That sounds awesome. Sounds like you got a great one!
@@blutonemusic I thinks so as well, I’ve just started looking at their Telecasters, well you know the saying about how many guitars you need = n+1 😆
It's a slippery slop my friend...@@DarrellW_UK
I enjoyed your review especially the tones you get from your rig. I have two questions. What is your take on the neck because you really did not talk about the next field. I supposed to have a roasted maple next. Also, can you tell me what amplifier you’re playing from over my car Soundsystem your your cones and playing sounded great and I loved listening to him do you noodling Thank you Steve from Connecticut
Hi Steve, yes the neck is a Canadian Roasted neck. It was very comfortable to play. My amp is a Boss Nextone Artist 80w using the incorporated tremolo affect and a Behringer Compressor Sustainer. Hope this helps, J
Hey Steve, here is my latest video. Let me know what you think? ua-cam.com/video/bXTgn7ZIMZw/v-deo.html
Are you paying extra just for the "relic ing" or is the guitar actually better than the nin relic m
With any guitar that has a relic finish I am guessing that there is always a cost to providing this so technically the answer is yes. I found it to be a great guitar with a price tag of £329 in the UK. Don't cha hear me cry ahhh woooo oooo
Dang.
Are you sure that's not just an old used guitar?
It has certainly been designed to look like that!
@@blutonemusic Alrighty then....if that's what you want to believe, that's fine.
