I bought the js400 six months ago in Spain, and I have to tell you that everything you say is true except that my guitar did not come adjusted. I had the action very high and I even had to file the nut, also very high, with an unpleasant feeling at the first fret. Greetings and thank you very much for your contributions. Price: 189 euros.
I got this guitar (same model & colour) only a few weeks back. I agree with everything you’ve said. It’s amazing for the money. I’d put it up against a Fender Mexican Strat that’s 3 to 4 times the price. It’s outstanding what you get for the money. I didn’t have ceramics pickups in any of my other guitars so I was a little curious how they would sound. They are actually not bad at all. And I found playing around with the eq of your amp helps also take the slightly rough/raw edges off. Roll back on the treble and add a little bass seemed to improve things. I’m very much looking forward to giving her the Real test - a Live Gig - next weekend. Then we’ll see what I’ll upgrade - if anything 🤷♂️

Nice Job mate! Agree with pretty much everything you've found. I just threw £300 of mods at mine including a Gotoh 510 trem. The Gotoh wasn't that much of an upgrade tbh 🙈
@@SoulStringChannel yeah the guitar shop where i live stocks them and they said about trying one and i was totally blown away at how amazing the necks on them are.
totally I was so surprised how good the fret ends and neck shape was! honestly I do think companies like fender really need to have a think about things like this because the brand name will not last forever
I have the same model in reliced surf green. I love my Jet and it’s my favourite guitar these days. I own two fenders and i don’t pick them that much anymore due to the neck on the jet. It just feels like butter. That said, the pickups are not remarkable. They are too warm and unrefined. I swapped them fairly early and the guitar sings
you’re right though as well it is a golden age for starter guitars as i remember buying encore and even some squire guitars in the 90s and some of them were unplayable garbage

@@SoulStringChannel yeah it’s the inspired by gibson (sorry i don’t know how new they are) i’ve had a few guitars over the years. good ones and terrible i might be wrong but i just love every thing about it it’s the first semi hollow i’ve owned and i’m just blown away but that’s just me.
Ah bro ! I'm with you ! That thing looks awesome doesn't it? I'm so curious to see the top of the line from Jet. On that guitar if I have to be honest the only thing that doesn't look right is the Headstock but who cares!
Ahahahah 🤣 yes that may be the case, but at the same time I do think it would make sense for them to be consistent with their set ups! I guess fortunately in today's world of social media etc they would get caught quite quickly if they pulled tricks like that! Honestly I have no reason to think that's the case!
@@SoulStringChannel Oh i don't underestimate their QC either , but logically , if they want to advertize their guitars , they won't send you the one with fret sprout , high action strings , too high pickups etc , they gonna check if the guitar is flawless , you won't get the one with rusty strings ... All the guitars are different , you try two Fender Strats , same specs , same year , oh let's say 5 Strats : one is good , and when they are good they're GOOD , the others are average , not bad but not fantastic , and you keep the little gem : you even low the volume down : you're afraid the seller might raise the price : it's a reflex , trust me it happened to me : after one chord , and i had tried several Strats that day ..... Let's call that the First Chord Strat Test : FCST lol , a sudden crystal clear sound : the reverb is on 0 on the amp and you don't understand , there's some.... Lol Fendson or Gibsder send some guitars in need of an urgent set up sometimes , so do Jet .... Oh BTW Jet = Fazley , maybe you would like to see the prices amigo..... It seems that they often have a problem with the tuners .... Well , you sell some guitars , you know that they aren't always perfectly set up , you send the best one you have to advertize it , of course ..... " Pardon my french " lol , english isn' t my language , but i do like it ...

Hey Bud. I Just think it's important to clarify what fender you are talking about? Because if you are talking mexican or squire then I believe the jet is well above that level. The fret job and ends are generally much better and you are getting roasted wood. Obviously if you are talking master built or high American made series then yes the fender is different but that's to be expected. Just important to compare things like for like.
Oh and obviously that's the beauty of todays world! If you don't like it just send it back ! It's completely a personal thing so whatever makes you rock is the best 👍👍👍

i’ve got the jt-300 and it was set up really well out of the box the only thing i upgraded was the tuners
