Thanks for the post Nenad, hanging to get mine in a few weeks. I have a few patches of small's I want to revisit. Are you happy with the depth you are getting with the low sensitivity setting? I think that bit of steel may have been a dummy, ie something someone has dropped after removing their nugget.. I have dug a piece of copper pipe about 5/8 dia and about 1/4 long at about 10 inches just outside an old timers hole... Had to have been set there!
Yes, I tend to not worry about where the sensitivity is, I just set it to where it needs to be. If I'm getting too much feedback from the ground, then I turn it down.
I would guess parts come from all over the world, but all of Minelab manufacturing is done by Plexus in Malaysia. You can read more about Minelab's history here: www.minelab.com/consumer/knowledge-base/history
wow just found out minelab are charging nearly 11thousand for one of these wtf ?.cmon minelab what about the people who have supported you over the yrs 11thousand for a metal detector i think ill pass .
Yep, it slides up and you can twist it so it can lay flat. You can also pull out the lower shaft to get the coil next to the upper shaft and make it a bit more compact.
Gold isn't easy to find. Need to be in a location where nuggety gold is known to exist, and close to the surface. If you were finding metal targets, then there's nothing wrong - just need to swing it over gold.
The price per ounce today really helps boost profits as well. I'm hoping the trend lasts long enough to get my equipment and scan the parcel I'm buying out in Oregon.
8 to 10 grand for minelab GPZ7000. That's fken crazy. I spent 250 bucks for a Garrett ace 250. found a ton of coins and rings witch def paid me back for my machine.
Thanks for Sharing Nenad

Looking forward to seeing some more of this unit in action. Does the shaft retract for storage or is it fixed?

At around 8,000.00 you only need about 266 more of those little nuggets to pay for the thing. :)
Yep true, paid off long ago, about the only hobby that can pay for itself! But the 20 grammers, 12 gramers, 4-6g bits really help lift the tally.
