As I sit here and watch this Vid on Christmas Eve, I reflect on all thing this this year has brought me, death, birth, sadness, pain, anger, loss, amung other thing. I lost my 20yr old cuz to suicide this past sept. I was devastated. I have lost love, had my heart broken, and still im alive. I reflect on all the people who I have on my side as my group. They may all not be women, but they are my blessing. you all need to thank your women for being there for you, no matter who they are.

After all these years, and all your talks, your warm, funny and sad books and now podcasts, ‘this’ is still my favourite. I still watch and listen to this in particular, sometimes I forget the Kleenex until it’s too late, and I still share this with girlfriends, tonight to my favourite cousins. I admire you immensely.....

I am reading this from a dark and numb place. I have been here before and imagine it may not be the last time I visit. Hearing this sparked the first flicker of feelings in a period of time I can no longer define. It reminded me I will eventually feel again. Probably grief and rage that were too terrifying to imagine and ultimately the embers of hope that are never fully extinguished. I stand at the abyss and hope I can find the strength and courage to turn away. Your words help. Thank you.

She captured the spirit of what makes women special. A woman or a group of women can bring strength, support, grace and fragility of a spiderweb to whatever is before them. Thank you Kelly. You captured the spirit of our Soulstice Sisters.

This is one of the most poignant gifts of speech I have ever heard. Every word so tangible and eloquent. This is the type of writing that is so real, so very connective to all the wonderful Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters, Aunts, Nieces Girlfriends... it ties us all together....We're pretty great...aren't we??? You made me cry. Thanx

Absolutey beautiful. Yes, tears streamed down my cheeks as I listened and watched, thinking of friends, children, family, good times and bad, happy and sad. I thank God for all those whose lives have touched mine in a positive way and only hope that I have done the same for them. Life is so precious. Thank you Kelly and thank you to my dear friend Marilyn, for sharing this with me.

Kelly....I LOVE the way you write your wonderful thoughts. Thank you for sharing your words both in writing and in reading to us! This piece talked so much about the relationship I have had with my wonderful mother. She is 91, recently moved to a longterm care home. In the past few months my mother has lost so much cognitive ground. I weep for what we no longer can share in words but the strength of her arms around me say more than words! You have inspired me to write again today! joanne

Word! Excellent. My group of strong women is The Pious Ladies. My now-33 year old daughter named us that years ago as a diss -- but we adopted the name happily. Since 1983, the Pious Ladies have met once a month at rotating houses, sharing everything. Just like this video says.

One of my best GF's gave me this book for Valentine's Day! We met when her oldest and my youngest were in pre-k
11 years ago. Although VAINPARN moved away from my life, I talk to her at least once a day. She is a true testament to what lasting friendship is all about. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a good friend send you Kelly's book... just because they love you. I't time for me to pass the book on.

I didn't find my best friends until I was thirty! I was just on the phone with her the other day marveling at our decade-long friendship. I was there for her when she fought to regain custody of her son, and lived to regret it. She was there for me when my son was killed in an accident. I can't imagine life without her.

In the words of Sandra Bullock...Begginings are scary, endings are usually sad, but its the middle that counts the most(from the movie Hope Floats). I think we can all agree that we all need girlfriends to ride this road with us. These words you spoke are amazing. I will be buying your book and I cant wait to read it.

momcactus...it IS common ground! We ALL go through it ALL...if not before or now...we will at sometime. And it is our sisters & "sisters" who help us through it. It is a pity when someone loses, casts off, rejects, the groups we form in life. This is the stuff life is made of. They ebb and flow around us. Form and break apart and reform. My CORE is my sisters, God bless them. My FLOW are my friends who come and go and come back again or leave forever. Kelly got it all right for us all.
