You can use short mahri eyestalk and technic connectors 3203 with axles to connect the pieces more official way.

I'm pretty sure that the Piraka mask that seems a little gold-ish in the video is just Avak's. Anyway, Irnakk was packaged in a box, so there would be no space for a Piraka mask.
