Timelapse: Gotta' think like an editor. I did a nice timelapse of a flower blooming. Made a flower bud in MidJourney and then "opened" it with the brushes in Runway. (But the new thing is pretty cool too.)
1. suno 2. udio. lmao, it's not even close haha. udio is insaaaane. music has just changed forever. year zero. for folks who've long had dreams of manifesting a project but have no hollywood etc connections, welp, this is an incredibly exciting time to witness the crazyness that is A.I.
It's pretty good. It can't sing the same melody with different lyrics for verse 1 & 2 with a chorus in between, but other than this, I like it. (It uses the previous 30 second clip to generate the following 30 second clip, so it can't remember what it "sang" 60 seconds ago...though the voices are usually fairly consistent somehow, so it may be using a little more info. If you ask it to generate an intro, it uses the following 30 seconds to generate the previous 30 seconds instead.)
1. Suno (You can recognize the slightly robotic voice 🤖👾) 2. udio (You can hear the good voice quality, but the instrumentals are not yet fully developed 🥁🎹)
Yah, the Udio instrumentals remind me of a lot of older audio generators (but cleaner), and it triggers uncanny valley in my brain. It's quite uncomfortable to listen to most Udio generations (even though the voice quality sounds more human)
I've had great results using Suno AI but am waited for Udio to get past beta stage. I hear the wait times for new generations is quite long. Do you find that?
It's midnight and I've just listened to Carolina O.....now it's one o clock and i've just spent an hour learning and playing the song. It's brilliant, full of metaphorical nuances. Best new song i've heard for a while. I've been singing and writing songs since 1961. This changed my thoughts on the sentience of AI. and it's empathy......who knows?
Interpolation: Topaz is good but there's also a way of rendering in Premiere Pro. Just render using "Optical Flow" in the "Speed/Duration" effect. (Which is a right click on the footage in the timeline. Not a drag & drop effect). You're welcome. I'm here to help.
AI tools for movies sure makes the possibility of getting my novel onto some kind of screen a lot more feasible, since it's sci-fi and AI would reduce costs greatly and even provide new ways of mixing live with AI movie environments. I do music also and AI is coming up with super stuff there, also. I have invented an AI female vocalist to front the songs I create using female vocalist, e.g. for dancepop songs, and I can say, it is a pleasure as a songwriter working with her.
As an Ai Art Professional I find it refreshing to see new innovations come out. Anyone in the Digital Creative field will be so excited to see these innovations.
Though I’m blown away this week by Suno and Udio this week and have created dozens of incredible songs for my brands, Man being a former musician and band frontman and recording studio owner for a decade but after leaving all after moving to LA and soon after rock bottom, I’m still tight w my ol bandmates who are most still full time musicians… this breaking my heart about for REAL musicians
Such and exciting and scary ass time! Haha. Looking forward to playing with some of these tools though! Will help with other trailers moving forward. Been digging the content, great work!
Udio is better than Suno according to the demos. The music is more interesting, but in my native language (Czech) Udio sings much worse. He makes up words, mispronounces, hallucinates in another language... He was probably taught on a smaller sample. But I'm intrigued by both instruments and will test both. I've been playing with Suno for a few weeks now.
The 1st song is Suno, 2nd is Udio. The 2nd doesn't have the same artifacts on the voice--instead it has the artifacts you'd expect from an old recording (AAD instead of DDD). It's probably there from the training data. The 1st has more lossy compression type of artifacts, like you set your bitrate too low on your mp3 recorder, and the same type you hear from elevenlabs voices.
Udio will be interesting once it is out of Beta. For me, Suno still works much better and makes more reliable and consistent music. I think it depends on the kind of music you want to make as well.
It's certainly a change - but you can think of it this way too - so much of today's top 100 pop music follows a formula (which is very similar to what AI does to generate it's own music). Amazing 'human artists' will still shine through :)
The fact that Udio could do this is amazing! BUT, the sound quality is absolute crap LOL. But amazing for coming up with ideas, then actually recording it yourself.
@@curiousrefuge - 100%!!! Not knocking it, because this is already beyond my wildest dreams it were just 2 years ago. Just not commercially ready - that's all. I agree, though - things are getting better at an exponential speed. By this time next year, even the mixing/mastering will be done with AI - and we'll be able to create radio-ready songs all created by AI. Just two years ago I was wondering how to make a short film with just AI - it was nearly impossible. But coming across your channel really gives me hope now!
Please publish the answers to your silly games in subsequent videos. I'd much rather see the comparisons and know what is what. That is actually useful. Thanks. Iced tea, lol.
In Krea, my ten year old started typing "anime chicken" and on "chick ' suddenly there was a naked girl spread eagle with her goodies showing. So careful..
Very true! So very often you have to make sure when the pallet is clear, then background is set back to pure black so no strange anime girl will pop up.
Anyone who concludes that udio is better than Suno has only tested the tools on English lyrics and Western Music. The true power of Suno is in non-English, non-western music.
Oh, by the way, my feedback was generally about everyone reviewing udio (not only Curious Refuge). Let me know if I can help in any way with your testing (I live in India).
I know that hype sells, but after exploring and contrasting suno, udio and sonauto I don't think udio is objectively better, the quality of the audio perse is indeed better in udio, that is for sure, but fidelity at this point is not the whole map, push udio with complex lyrics and it goes to hell immediately, also, I would say that udio sounds limited in creativity, probably a exchange to grant more clean quality, suno is much better at rendering "what you may expect" from the prompt, whereas udio has less nuanced interpretation, and is terrible at mixing genres, the songs I got from suno are not always publish ready but are mostly excellent compositions, I'm working on rerecording around 20 songs I made with suno, and in excited to get them done, I haven't felt that excitement with udio... And let's not talk about sonauto, it only has a gimmick on his side, and I found better stem splitters
Song # 1 = Suno, Song # = Udio
Ding ding ding, that's correct! Email us here (hello@curiousrefuge.com) to claim your prize. :)
Thanks for the kind words regarding my Nike Spec Ad! As always, an awesome episode of AI Film News of the Week! Keep up the great work! :)
Love the Nike spec ad :). Thanks for tuning in, Adam!
Love that you guys started adding chapters to your videos. Super handy. Cheers.

the gospel cover was insanely impressive!
Glad you thought so!
Too much innovation! I can't keep up with all the developments! 🤯
Riiight! Its too much
Right?! there is something new every week! Don't worry, we will try out best to keep you updated :)
Try to use Udio for creating soundtrack, you won't be disappointed,
welp I know what I'll be doing for the rest of the night.

exactly. That robotic quaver gave it away (from this point of view)
Good observation there!
You have good ears :)
Wow! So much value in this video! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
1. Suno
2. Udio
Great recap, thanks!
Thank you for your content. It's great and I am finding it so useful. I am loving Udio, thanks again for introducing it to me.
Our pleasure! So glad you enjoy the contnet!
I LOVE your new mascot!!!
1. Suno;
2. Udio
I've had great results using Suno AI but am waited for Udio to get past beta stage. I hear the wait times for new generations is quite long. Do you find that?
Yes as this app gets more popular we are finding similar results in wait time!
First one was suno. Second was udio
Song 1 “Cheers to You”: Suno
Song 2 “Irvin, Raise a Glass”: Udio
#1 is Suno #2 is Oudio
The first is Suno, the second song is made with Udio.
Can't wait to combine the fantastic music that Udio / Suno / Sonauto can already create, and video AI that does more than 4 seconds of video. ;)
Couldn't agree more!

That's precisely what AI tools are doing - allowing everyone (with far less gatekeeping ) to make their visions come to life!
Song #1 was Suno. Song #2 is Udio.
Song 1 was made in Suno, and the 2nd in Udio
As an Ai Art Professional I find it refreshing to see new innovations come out. Anyone in the Digital Creative field will be so excited to see these innovations.
We agree!
1. Udio 2. Suno (I think I'm wrong, but I'm a contraian by nature)
😂I have the same answer… but for different reasons 😂
Haha we'll reveal very soon :)
First song is Suno, Second song is Udio. I'm quite certain.
1. Suno
2. Udio

Yeah it’s over. Composers are done.
Like Directors, Artists, etc - the best composers that inject raw human emotion and experience into their art will still rise to the top!
It's certainly disruptive. We'll see how it plays out over the next year
Thank you!!

Udio #2
Suno #1
first one was suno, second was udio. Just a feeling, because udio sounds more natural
Does Udio also make the videos for the songs or did you create those yourselves?
Udio can make a background image but no the video
