Die Forelle

Originally, a string quintet by Franz Schubert and words written by C.F Schubert for voice and piano accompaniment. The poem by Fredrich Schubert tells the story of a trout being captured by a fisherman. However, in the last stanza, the metaphor is resolved by aiming the message at young women to guard themselves against young men. the SSA arrangement is by Jason Bishop.
