Literally stays on my Sony A7IV 95% of the time. Only take it off to put on the Sony 35 F1.4 G Master occasionally. Saving up to buy the 70-200mm GM II right now.
Amazing lens for sure, meanwhile we the Tamron lads are good with the 28-75mm G2 versions. Heck, I reckon that you initiating a lens test with those two would make a fun informative challenge someday 🤔
The 50mm f/1.2 G Master and 24mm F/1.4 G Master are our favorite lenses and they have been used in most of our professional productions. Truly amazing lenses.
G Master lenses are a work of art, in this artistic world of photography/videography. Can't wait to be to afford switching over to them, hopefully in near future 😊
A 35-135 2.8 GM would be a wedding photographers dream. The Tamron 35-150 is large and heavy. Also an amazing for 2 lens travel with a 16-35 2.8 GMII and a 35-135 2.8 GM. Even a 35-105 would be long enough on the tele end but I’m sure Sony could make it to 135, external zoom, 82mm filter thread and maybe a little larger then the 24-70 GMII. Maybe one day
@@francoismarc3 not necessarily. It would be more expensive. The Tamron 27-75 2.8 is $900 and the 35-150 2-2.8 is $1900. So if the 24-70 GMII is $2300, then I would expect a 35-135 GM to be around $2700 the same way the RF 28-70 2.0 is more expensive then their RF 70-200 2.8. Some will pay the extra, some won’t. For walking around, I would still take the 24-70 for the 24 and street photography or the 20-70 4.0
A 24-200 f/2.8-4,5 GM Please!! My current all-rounder is the 24-105 f4, but I miss a lens that could do everything from night shots to. scenes with telephoto lens
Sony, please consider the G lenses too! G Masters are great, but they compromise size for wider apertures. There are plenty of people who would trade smaller sizes for smaller apertures. 1.8 to 2.5 compact G full frame prime lenses would be useful for full frame and crop sensor cameras. Also consider higher-end crop sensor cameras! Stacked sensor crops won't cannibalize the full frames, but would convince people to choose Sony over FujiFilm or Olympus.
Brilliant! Love these kind of videos although I don't understand everything but it is nice to see what is going on behind the curtains (in this case in a Lens)
We all know that photo stacking is only a software update that is only available to the A7R4, I am not going to say please, this is your due to the users to give the best experience to a very capable camera. I have been waiting to do some crazy macro shots on my Sony 90MM F2.8. Show the users that Sony is more than a Money Focus Company !!
I own the 14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50 1.4, and the 135mm 1.8 GM’s. All stellar on my Sony A7RV & A7IV. I’m getting the new 85mm GM when it’s available! For now I’m using the stellar Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN.
I also have the 14, 24 and 135. Went Sigma for 35 and 85. I'm still deciding between 50/1.2 and 50/1.4, or whether to go for a smaller 50mm. Are you happy with your 50/1.4 GM?
I been a nikon and a canon shooter for years however whiles using a sony a7iii I found out that these struggles I have with my 5d mark iii has been resolved by sony a7iii however the only problem I have is its so expensive buying and shipping to my country especially an a7iii and a 85mm.. would love to own one someday.
G-Master lenses are truly incredible now with the new tech they are receiving. To me, what separates GM lenses from Rokinon, Sigma and Tamron is the XD Linear motor. Having 4 XD Linear motors in a GM lens gives us that insane fast autofocus speed. But we can't really downplay Rokinon, Sigma and Tamron too because they are suppose to be the more affordable lenses and have different focal lengths than Sony lenses. The 3 of them covers the middle ground of lenses that Sony normally don't touch. Otherwise, GM lenses are the best route to go if you can afford it ad especially the Version 2 of the GM lenses. Skip out on the GM 85mm as its way too outdated to pay full price for it.
Can you give us a light weight compact 15-150mm F4 or F4.5-6.3 Full Frame lens one day? 24mm is the default rather than ultrawide lens nowadays and I want even more ultrawide in daily life! Send me one when you guys made it!
I have very costly for me 24F14GM but image is just stunning, even on "old GM" design. It was very hard choose to bite the bullet and save money few years just for it, but result image so nice. But, there are still room for improvenent, focus breathing and vignetting, I am sure next gen GM will be even better, more telecentricity, more "cine" feature and still affordable for mortals.
i would love to see a 18mm f/1.4GM, a 200mm f/1.8GM, a 500mm f/5.6GM(super light and compact), and a 100-300mm f/4GM. And please make the upcoming 24-200mm G as good and small and light as possible.❤❤
I have Sony GM prime Lenses, but though the optical image quality is very high which I like, I do not like the size and weight of the GM Lenses, so I wish for a series of "GMC" Lenses which have lower aperture stops, lighter and smaller build, still with the same or better optical image quality,. I would buy compact prime "GMC" 14mm , 24mm , 35mm , 55mm, 60mm Macro, 85mm ,100mm Macro, 135mm , 200mm, 300mm, 400mm, 500mm...
"Fast and accurate autofocusing"... Have you tried the 70 200 f2.8 GM2 with the A7iv on runners ? OK, it may be the camera. Which you sell with "speed and reliability" here in France.
@ChristianErnestHizonOK, what is your keeper rate ? Lately I found that the most important AF setting on the A7iv is to keep the burst rate at 6 FPS. Zone seems to give the best results but it's winter now and it's difficult to evaluate with high ISO. I'd like to use flexible spot tracking, but I've had terrible results in the past (5% keepers sometimes ).
Please make more long prime lenses that are " slower " but cheaper and smaller and lighter.. not everyone can afford or want to spend so much for those F2.8 and F4 long prime.. Give us more option please.
No GM lens so far, but maybe when I buy enough cameras from Sony I can invest in these expensive lenses, yet premium. Hope they make 14mm f1.4 GM to match Sigma.
24-70GM II all day errday 😎
Fully agree!!! My everyday and every use lens. Just got the 70-200 GM II to add to the collection.
Literally stays on my Sony A7IV 95% of the time. Only take it off to put on the Sony 35 F1.4 G Master occasionally. Saving up to buy the 70-200mm GM II right now.

Truly amazing lenses.
Loving the 35mm f1.4 GM!
I’m ready for the 85mm f1.2. GM lenses will change your photography. They are definitely costly but worth the extra cost.
It's almost been two years since the rumors began they were field-testing. I wonder what the hold-up is.
Eh, they’re just lenses
the few GM lenses I own are amongst the best I've ever shot with. Thank you, Sony.
You can really see how they keep improving their lenses with every iteration. Very satisfying

It would be MUCH larger than the 24-70 GMII, its an extra 65 mm reach which is already more than the 46mm difference between 24 and 70
It would kill 24-70GMII sales
@@yannguerin3164 the Tamron 35-150 2-2.8 is the size of the 24-70 GM1… so maybe it is possible?
