First listened to this at age 13,blew my mind.Now 55 and gave it another listen for the first time in a long while,sounds just as edgy as I remember.Beautiful!
Another masterpiece by the greatest songwriter and performer that ever lived. Thank you David Bowie for making the world a better place. I bought my first single 'Life on Mars' when I was 10 🖤💙🖤 Almost five decades later now, you accompanied me throughout my entire life
Here is my review of the tracks. It's No Game (Part 1) - Sung off key and badly but for effect of this parody half of the album. This is one of my favourite songs on the album. Up The Hill Backwards - I love this track it is just so good you are set up for something in the intro but it dramatically changes to the iconic choir like singing in the verses and the chorus. Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) - This is a great song about monsters and I love the melody right at the end of the verses before the chorus for some reason it just is a great number. Ashes To Ashes - A classic funky number just being good. I prefer this version to the single version because it has a bit more life and fun put in to unheard bits on the single. Fashion - I really like this dance like number which is so fun in just criticizing the absurdity of trends. The repeat of 'Beep Beep' is so fun as well. Teenage Wildlife - A brilliant song which transforms the parody like nature into a political drama. I love this song is one of if not my favourite Bowie songs. The story of teenage youth is greatly sung with the best vocal performance on any song on the album. I could go on for hours about how good the song is. And I know from experience that Ab at the end is hard to hit. Scream Like A Baby - This is a great song sung incredibly well and I really like the music of this track as it is an incredible piece. Kingdom Come - This is a great track that is well sung and has incredible guitar. The backup singers sing very well also. Because You're Young - This is a good song. Well sung, and a good pace. I don't think much of this song but I recognise it as good. It's No Game (No. 2) - This is the follow up to the the first song which is much more precise and Bowie uses his much more comfortable vocal range making the change more dramatic. This is a great closer to the album and my personal favourite part of 'It's No Game'.
