I Made the Dumbest Possible RC Flamethrower

- This video demonstrates the most irresponsible project I've made to date: How to make a radio-controlled flamethrower in the dumbest and simplest way possible! All parts are linked below.
I cannot overstate that while most of my projects are kinda dangerous as everything in combat robotics is dangerous, this has an especially great way to get massively out of hand and fast. Please exercise extreme caution if you attempt anything shown in this video or anything like it. I have a fire extinguisher nearby during all of these tests. I never lit anything on fire out in the open, it was always enclosed in my test box with a fan ready to blow any fumes outside.

You can rotate the dial that selects flame size past the maximum to get an even bigger flame if you want, that way you can burn through the whole tank of gas in 3 minutes.
I did try that actually, it seemed to stop turning only a tiny bit past where the endstop was after I cut the dial tab to turn it further. I might play with it a bit more but I doubt I'll get 5X the flow from it.
@@JustCuzRobotics On regular lighters the lever that changes the flowrate is keyed to the metal spinny bit that changes how open the valve is and you can lift the plastic off the metal and key in a different spot to get more leverage. This looks very similar, but there could be a hard limit that's reached with this lighter
Looking forward to seeing that fire testing video! I've always been curious as to which (if any) popular materials were susceptible to flame attacks!
Also, much clearer sound in this video, and I loved the doubled list in black and white, it made it really easy to read!
Thank you! Let's just say, many many plastics are...
You already have a vert and saw bot, so I'll guess the new one will be a horizontal spinner. Maybe an undercutter??
I also have Draconid which is an undercutter and Mini Mulcher which is a horizontal overhead. I've sorta covered my bases lol.
@@JustCuzRobotics Those slipped my mind 😅
A wedge mini-bot than can pin opponents to the wall and lite them on fire would be awesome. A very cool idea to just take a simple lighter and turn it into a weapon!
This is going to be awesome
This is pure brilliance. Makes me annoyed I didn't do this sooner.. lol I actually had the thought, but never did it. I didn't think it would ACTUALLY take just a butane torch and a servo 🤣

This is cool
Amazing

You are telling this to someone that is NOT safe at all around combat robots and I still don't want to do this.
This video series will be useful for me, I've wanted to build a sawblaze style ant weight but with a flamethrower instead of the saw/spinner. Because most ants are made from plastics a flame weapon would be devastating if it were to get a good hold on the opponent.
Just imagine having a mini blacksmith
Damn, i have been working on a similar design. using the same lighter. for a 3lb robot.
Haha nice. That's not a bad thing!
RC flamethrower or remote control IED?
Since it’s Norwalk, I’m guessing you’re building a box frame with a fingertech beater bar on all four sides 😂. I doubt this is the case, but I would love to see duel division weapons that are the same dimensions as the 3 pounder (obviously cut thicker) on a 4wd vert.
