10:19 There is in fact 2 ways to make Father Gascoigne fight easier. On the first half of the fight you can use the tombstones as cover an attack him from behind the cover with the extended form of your weapon while he is stuck behind them, and during the second half you can use the music box that you obtain from an optional quest to stun him twice for a couple of seconds.
Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode on its own could end up on this list. Hell, when the TUTORIAL DARKSIED boss fight keeps you in the tutorial for at least 15 minutes you know you're in for a rough ride. And yes I did misspell Darkside with the DC character because that's what it is, you charging at Darkseid with a spork and feeling those Omega Beams blast your junk into oblivion for daring to defy him, Darkseid is.

Melbu Frama in Legend of Dragoon...Argh 20 or so years later I still have flashbacks. The spider robot at the end of the Dolet mission in FFVIII was incredibly hard too especially since I was 12 but it felt so rewarding to finally destroy it and return to the ship !

The one boss that made me raging with fury was the Darklurker in Dark Souls 2. Usually I am quite relaxed while I play games, but this was different... I had to farm effigies to go back to the fight!
I generally make faith builds on souls so Lurker wasnt that bad for me, Ancient Dragon, he's different. I consider myself to be truly brilliant at souls games and especially DS2 but that boss only has to stand on you once and it's done. The amount of times Ive had him right down and then he catches me with the back of his foot and it's over...
I remember farming Sephiroth to get to level 99 back in the day in the original KH on PS2. Never got all the way, got bored at level 93 or something like that. What the hell was I thinking, playing the hardest boss over and over again? You have too much time as a kid/teenager.
My favorite thing about the bosses in bloodborne is that different people have trouble with different bosses. Personally I found Gascoine and Blood Crazed Beast on the easier side while I hear most people struggle with them, but on the other hand I'm currently struggling with Vicor Amelia while alot of my friends say it's easy. First Souls game and I'm loving every moment!
Nightmare King grim (hollow knight) is the boss i died to more than any other boss in any game i ever played. But the sound track was so amazing i never lost my cool and finally beat him.
i had serious trouble with plenty of Kingdom Hearts 1 bosses. Clayton, Cerburous, the Guard Armor(1) and Ansem as Riku. ive still got all of those un-skippable cutscenes involuntarily memorised.
Fighting the Valkyrie Queen in God Of War over and over again, each time where she only had 2 small bars of health left or the glitch where pressing square for Atreus to revive you with a resurrection stone didn’t work, even though you had one. That was a dark day...
1st try but I did watch a youtube video because I was told even with knowing their moves it'd be near impossible. DS3 the dragon lancer guy took me about 10 tries and the prince took me about 8 million tries and two days. Second day I got him third try though.
The thing with Sephiroph in KH1, once you get 2 of that ability that gives you mana when you take dmg, you can just spam strike raid and auto-win. (was a huge disappoint for me to find out this cheap way to negate the hardest boss). You spam strike raid (during which you're invincible) till you're out of mana, let him hit you once or twice, heal, and start spamming again
I'm really surprised, that with the final mix version out for so long, that Sephiroth is still the one, showing up in these lists... like what the heck? Okay, you can cheese the guy, but even that trick is not easy to pull off. (still recommend fighting him fairly) And then there are Eraqus Armor, No heart and mysterious Figur from birth by sleep... -_-
@@toongrowner1 yeah the only secret bosses I've beat in the series are Data Axel, KH2 sephiroth, and Dark Inferno critical mode. Not gonna touch the other for a while.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: The Unknown with Terra There was a Bug(?) that when you had not slotet the normal slide than he would do that damn killer move almost everytime and took foreever to figure that out
I died I don’t know how many times to the Valkyrie that screams “Valhalla!” And then slams down on you before taking out most of your life. And the reason that move is bullshit is because it’s an insta-kill, even if Artreus has a revive stone. Hell, it lets you push the button and the animation of him running in to save you starts to play, but then the game fades to your last checkpoint. The other boss that killed me well over 50 times was Grim Matchstick from Cuphead on my Switch. From 10 PM on Friday to 4 AM Saturday, I died and died and died and died to that damn dragon. When I finally beat him, I about cried, recorded the win, and passed out right there in my chair
I see you are one of the many who hears Sin Harvest during the Sephiroth fight in KH1 lol He actually says "Descend Heartless Angel" there it's just he says it so quietly and the way he puts emphasis on the phrase. Even the person who wrote the Offical guide back in the day made the same mistake when they heard it lol
@@nathanaeld.striker7191 No, but a Kingdom Hearts game being easy on it's standard difficulty is already bad. Critical wasn't there on launch, so no, didn't play it.
Imagine being 10 years old thinking you have a nice kids game and then you realize the developers threw in a boss fight like Sephiroth thats so damn difficult it could bring a grown man to tears.
Some of mine: So many Devil May Cry bosses. Especially in the first game (Phantom WHY) Also Gulp from Spyro Reignited while trying to get the no-damage skill point
It took me forever to beat Phantom! Hardest DMC boss for me was Vergil, final boss of DMC3... my gosh, one of the few bosses I never beat. Sephiroth (every battle of Sephiroth in every game) is easy for me to beat, but Vergil is impossible...
I didn't find phantom that hard. I just went into devil trigger while being on top of him and began slashing. But it was the collection I played, and they may have made it easier.
I personally didn't have trouble with Gascoigne as much as I did with other bosses like blood starved beast, but I can see why, there's still a low trophy rate for beating him, he really is a challenge to test how dedicated to the game you are, a testing ground kinda. So Gascoigne does deserve a spot for basically shooing players away xD
My List of Bosses I beat one time and don't want to fight ever again: 7.Sans (Undertale) 6.Void Termina Soulmelter EX Difficulty (Kitby Star Allies) 5.Tabuh Intense Difficulty (Super Smash Bros. Maybe too later for that question but can't you boost landing high jump like the original? That's what saved me back in the day it looks like you don't use it in Crash Team Racing.
You know in the sephiroth fight once you are far enough in the game to farm Elixers you can use those to heal yourself back to full and keep on fighting right?
Like I said before, I remember when I beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. I thought I was going to jump for joy. That fight took every bit of concentration, let alone my want to even play any other video game (let alone more KH) for the longest time...
Man I played the original CTR last night for the first time in a while. And it really made my right hand sting. Racing games can make my hand hurt after too long.
Oh Rob, even in the throes of despair and controller breaking frustration you're always so poetic, lyrical and strangely calming to listen to. Ever thought of releasing some relaxation CDs, maybe record them at 3 in the morning after a marathon Sekiro session? It's like whale song only better ;)

There's someone who has beaten her on GMGOW difficulty without taking any hits! It's on YT somewhere, very impressive!
Trust me, she is as bad as you would expect her to be on Gmgow and then some

There is in fact 2 ways to make Father Gascoigne fight easier. On the first half of the fight you can use the tombstones as cover an attack him from behind the cover with the extended form of your weapon while he is stuck behind them, and during the second half you can use the music box that you obtain from an optional quest to stun him twice for a couple of seconds.
Uncharted 2 Lazarevich was no joke either. I know that boss fight is what’s stopping my friend from the platinum.
I cheated to get past him. XD Hung from a ledge where he couldn't get me and peeled away at his health.
I did all on crushing and well after my neighbor doesn't like me😂
Mardybda 1 I completed every single Uncharted on crushing except Uncharted Lost Legacy. They were INSANELY hard but the challenge was fun
ThatguyQ u do know they couple glitches in the fight. To kill him easy
Dragon King UK really lost legacy was easy on crushing wow
Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode on its own could end up on this list. Hell, when the TUTORIAL DARKSIED boss fight keeps you in the tutorial for at least 15 minutes you know you're in for a rough ride. And yes I did misspell Darkside with the DC character because that's what it is, you charging at Darkseid with a spork and feeling those Omega Beams blast your junk into oblivion for daring to defy him, Darkseid is.
Orphan of kos is in the list, my soul can rest now
Um, he said it wasn't on the list. Father gascoigne was. (Unless that was sarcastic then I apologise for the lack of understanding).
Except he isn't. Don't worry, I was fooled too.
@@varunchaturvedi2581 i usually just skip this kind of videos to see the list so i thought OoK was in here lol
Rafael Brito I didn’t even kill him. I simply sold my disc and pretended that I finished the game.
You know what boss was WAAAAY harder than Isshin the sword saint or Kos...Morgan Freeman from South Park!!!!..OMG he's difficult😫😫😫
Ape Escape getting some love 😌 this franchise needs a remaster/reboot. I spent so much time playing soccer in ape Escape 2
Fully agree... well except the soccer thing, but I don't like Soccer in general ^^;
Tz-Tok-Jad in Runescape back in like 2008.
He must've killed me 30 times. I did get a couple of fire capes though.
Oh, the days back when Runescape 2 was the "new" version. Good times.
Sigrun took me hours to beat. I’m so glad I never have to do that again.
on give me god of war?

@@alextheconfuddled8983 *absolute radiance* (i cant even beat pantheon 3....)
@@xthax9718 Have you seen Fireb0rns teaser for that modded pantheon? Its like all of the modded bosses combined into one pantheon. And if a boss isnt modded, another mod is used to make the arena hell.
I counted every time Sigrun killed me on NG+ Give me God of War difficulty, 147 before I defeated her. Best feeling ever
Melbu Frama in Legend of Dragoon...Argh 20 or so years later I still have flashbacks. The spider robot at the end of the Dolet mission in FFVIII was incredibly hard too especially since I was 12 but it felt so rewarding to finally destroy it and return to the ship !
Valkyrie Queen was one of thee most intense battles ever in my gaming history...most deaths, probably Isshin Sword Saint
Did you forget that hesitate, and you lose?

@@عبدالله_الشمراني-1 I know. I was referring to isshin
As A kid on the original ctr I remember being smart enough to wait for the big jump with oxide to use a missile, it was just a case of restarting until it worked which doesnt take many attempts :-)
The boss Friday Features are my favourite
That damned Fireclaw you fight underground in the Horizon Zero Dawn DLC, that thing killed me soooo many times in so many undignified ways.
For me it was Roxas kh2 final mix. Good grief. I was underleveled by like 20. It was rough. Like 40 or so attempts later younger self finally submitted to grinding.
Andrew Scribner limit form was literally made for that fight 😂
@@Khjaden97 I was slightly annyoed at Roxas.... after this battle in final mix I hated him... -_- Like why are you even here? Didn't you allready returned to sora?
I was stuck on Orphan of Kos for so long. When I finally did it, I screamed. Then proceeded to do it first time on NG+.
I beat Gascoigne and, for me, that was beating the game. I retired from FromSoft.
The Orphan fight was, however, an absolute blast to *watch*.
My toughest Boss was MGSV episode 50. I died like 100 times. It took me 4ever to complete that mission.
Nightmare King grim (hollow knight) is the boss i died to more than any other boss in any game i ever played. But the sound track was so amazing i never lost my cool and finally beat him.
The bit about the Valkyrie's felt like an attack on me as a gamer...🤣
i had serious trouble with plenty of Kingdom Hearts 1 bosses. Clayton, Cerburous, the Guard Armor(1) and Ansem as Riku. ive still got all of those un-skippable cutscenes involuntarily memorised.
Father Gascoigne "no weaknesses"?!
Clearly you have never got the music box from his daughter.
*Or used a gun
Fighting the Valkyrie Queen in God Of War over and over again, each time where she only had 2 small bars of health left or the glitch where pressing square for Atreus to revive you with a resurrection stone didn’t work, even though you had one. That was a dark day...
Ugh... that God of War Valkyrie Queen riled me up something ridiculous. That difficulty spike was nuts, even on the easiest difficulty.
10:25 lol there literally is, it’s the music box but I understand many quit at this boss. Great vid 👍
Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough - Dark Souls
I still have nightmares!!!
Took me 3 times but I summoned 2 players still my favorite DS boss fight
2nd try luckily
I feel like Lingering Will should have been here instead, but Rob more then likely hasnt even attempted it.
I'm really surprised, that with the final mix version out for so long, that Sephiroth is still the one, showing up in these lists... like what the heck?
Okay, you can cheese the guy, but even that trick is not easy to pull off. (still recommend fighting him fairly)
And then there are Eraqus Armor, No heart and mysterious Figur from birth by sleep... -_-
@@toongrowner1 yeah the only secret bosses I've beat in the series are Data Axel, KH2 sephiroth, and Dark Inferno critical mode. Not gonna touch the other for a while.
@@bellringer53 I beaten the rest, but only cause I just have to platinum my favourite games. ^^;
Certainly recommend you looking up guides (there are some pretty good ones here on youtube, how pretty much go into every single detail. Have discorvered movements and patterns I never noticed before.) and preparing your self mentally for these battles... also level 99, anything belowe is just a waste of time.
@@toongrowner1 yeah it's in the plans but I have a large backlog of games to play, and I havent broken a controller yet in rage and I want to keep it that way so I'm pacing myself, no need to rush it.
@@bellringer53 Don't need to, I allways took my time before I was going for them and then was fighting like 2 or 3 for a day.
I highly recommend you the guides from Tru-Man Tech Gaming, he goes into every single detail, every single attack and how to best react to them. very very helpfull.
For your controll, lay out a lot of soft stuff, like pillows or something around you, also something that does not bounce too much ^^;
I got the Platinum on CTR. Dragon Mines, Tiny Temple and Hyper Spaceway were insane!
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: The Unknown with Terra
There was a Bug(?) that when you had not slotet the normal slide than he would do that damn killer move almost everytime and took foreever to figure that out
I beat Oxide first time both times with Penta. I don't know what it is about Penta but every time I play him the NPCs can eat my exhaust big time
I died I don’t know how many times to the Valkyrie that screams “Valhalla!” And then slams down on you before taking out most of your life.
I see you are one of the many who hears Sin Harvest during the Sephiroth fight in KH1 lol
He actually says "Descend Heartless Angel" there it's just he says it so quietly and the way he puts emphasis on the phrase.
Even the person who wrote the Offical guide back in the day made the same mistake when they heard it lol
For me it's almost all end game Kingdom Hearts bosses, because as much as I love those games, I'm really bad at them.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was way too easy though...
@@WH250398 Have you done Critical Mode yet?
@@WH250398 haven't played that on yet.
@@nathanaeld.striker7191 No, but a Kingdom Hearts game being easy on it's standard difficulty is already bad. Critical wasn't there on launch, so no, didn't play it.
@@WH250398 Still give it a try though, it's still a pretty decent game... yeah there where some dissapointments but I still enjoyed the hell out of it
Imagine being 10 years old thinking you have a nice kids game and then you realize the developers threw in a boss fight like Sephiroth thats so damn difficult it could bring a grown man to tears.
Some of mine:
So many Devil May Cry bosses. Especially in the first game (Phantom WHY)
Also Gulp from Spyro Reignited while trying to get the no-damage skill point
SilverBolt1159 omg yes! I had to “cheat” and wait for the upgraded fire you get at the very end
It took me forever to beat Phantom! Hardest DMC boss for me was Vergil, final boss of DMC3... my gosh, one of the few bosses I never beat. Sephiroth (every battle of Sephiroth in every game) is easy for me to beat, but Vergil is impossible...
Greg Moldovan Vergil was an absolute pain
I didn't find phantom that hard. I just went into devil trigger while being on top of him and began slashing. But it was the collection I played, and they may have made it easier.
@@gregmoldovan5921 That Vergil fight is my favorite boss battle ever xD
Everything Rob says while describing the fight with Sigrun I have experienced, word for word.
My choice?
Dr. Kahl's Robot from Cuphead. I never want to see him again.

Mysterious Figure/Young Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts BBS....never again...I actually broke my Square button on my PSP from trying to beat him
SenAkari I hated that boss. I spammed Balloonra so many times but that move that reduced you to one hit dead always got me.
@@Chrisjamesbrown I could only win with Ventus due to his speed.
The final boss in Super Meat Boy took me 2 1/2 hours and probably between 150 and 215 deaths. Super-intense.
Can't lie Sigrun was hard and when i finally killed her like 89 tries i felt like i killed a Dark Souls Boss
On GMGOW she’s harder than any of those bosses. Took me hours to finally beat her.
Tony Rojas I wouldn’t say she is harder than any of the dark souls bosses, but she was harder than most of them
@@alexprospero5816 lol any of those bosses? I don't think so.
The bosses that took away my sanity further down than logicaly possible were Sam and Armstrond in MGR:Revengence
Of course you had a hard time with Armstrong. He played college ball you know?
My List of Bosses I beat one time and don't want to fight ever again:
7.Sans (Undertale)
6.Void Termina Soulmelter EX Difficulty (Kitby Star Allies)
5.Tabuh Intense Difficulty (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
4.Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts)
3.Orphan of Kos
2.Father Ariandel and Friede
1.Hazama/Yuki Terumi Hell Difficulty (BlazBlue Continuum Shift)
Lawrence annihilated me in Bloodborne the old hunters
Maybe too later for that question but can't you boost landing high jump like the original? That's what saved me back in the day it looks like you don't use it in Crash Team Racing.
I’m sorry u forgot Lingering Will.
You know in the sephiroth fight once you are far enough in the game to farm Elixers you can use those to heal yourself back to full and keep on fighting right?
Persona 5 Justine and Caroline boss fight, Max leveled I died every time. It took me 6 hours to finally beat them
Like I said before, I remember when I beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. I thought I was going to jump for joy. That fight took every bit of concentration, let alone my want to even play any other video game (let alone more KH) for the longest time...
My Bloodborne entry is Lawrence, drove me into a frenzy
Check out Prepare to Try doing Laurence. Took them like six hours
Mine is the Pthumeru Descendant from the Level 5 Ihyl Chalice. Took me a few days.
Daniel Adams yeah I remember that. I’m sure it took them about 12 hours or something daft.
Man I played the original CTR last night for the first time in a while. And it really made my right hand sting. Racing games can make my hand hurt after too long.
Personally I thought that Sword Saint Isshin was harder than the Demon of Hatred 🤷♂️
After I beat sigrun once and replayed the game I got her first try on new game plus
10:52 "Numbed state of determined repetition" - amazing choice of words. Very applicable for all SoulsBorne games haha
Ornstein and Smough from Dark Souls...

Seymour Flux in FFX. I actually put that game down and didn't play it again for about 18 months because I was so angry at constantly losing that fight.
Kingdom hearts 2 sephiroth is allot easyier then kingdom hearts 1
Agreed. I’ve actually beaten kh2 sephiroth unlike kh1.
I agree, I couldn't beat him in kh1 whereas having the counterattack ability in kh2 is a life saver & I actually beat him in kh2
