Good comment. She should have been charged with first degree murder. She had motive. She planned to get off the hook on having his death ruled as an accident. I only hope the Judge will take this all into account along with the torture, and that she will get nothing less than a life in prison sentence.

You have no right to judge an adult who plays hide and seek, resulting in a death.
They were having a good day, puzzles and painting. Tag! You are it!. Then they both went to go hide in this game of hide and seek. Her in the shower and him in the suitcase. Riverine game of hide and seek to say the least

    • @onlymebaby.9249

@adamstevens1204 bull shit. He told her he couldn't breathe. She recorded it. I can judge her for murdering her boyfriend. I judge her as evil. Period.
She HAS been judged and found guilty. Period. End of statement. Like it or not.
She zipped him up in that death box. Then refused to let him out. Hitting him with a baseball bat when he was poking a finger out of the zipper makes me feel 100% fine about judging her for going upstairs to pass out. She IS evil. 👍

@@DustyHoneyHe was not an awful person. His previous two wives said, there was never any domestic violence. Jorge only started to have a criminal record for DV, once he met Sarah. He only ever fought back, once she'd attacked him. If you watched the videos and read the hateful text messages, you'll see that Sarah was the abuser, not Jorge. He was a victim and didn't deserve to die, in that way. Show some humanity, please.

Suitcase Sarah. I agree with you Chris; even here in Australia, this case was captivated my friends and me as we followed the long journey towards justice for Jorge. Seven state appointed defence lawyers, one crazy ad for a new lawyer, more variations of her story than one could follow and after nearly 5 years, a trial and guilty verdict. Those strangled pleas from Jorge as he struggled to breathe are haunting. Thanks for the recap, as ever so well narrated.🇦🇺♥️

Because everyone deserves proper representation. If we start limiting which cases do or don't deserve legal representation, it's a slippery slope. While, in this case, the evidence was extraordinarily damning, there are many cases where supposedly slam-dunk cases have later been shown to be completely wrong (either by horrible coincidence, by poor police work, or by certain detectives or whatnot actively lying/planting evidence etc.) and so many more where someone has been wrongfully blamed or framed by people outside of the police force. Human rights, constitutional rights, all those good things? They apply to EVERYONE, not just the "nice" people.
I understand why you find it skeevy. I really do - it's absolutely not something that I could do either, and there are some (notably EVERY lawyer that tries to blame the victim of an SA or bring up their sexual history, etc) that I think behave repulsively and it infuriates me every time. But that's why. And honestly, if someone can overcome that natural, visceral disgust over defending someone guilty of a horrible crime because they believe so strongly in fair representation, I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. It's tough, and many criminal defence lawyers don't last precisely *for* that reason. But one day (as much as I hope not) you might be in need of an attorney that is being called disgusting for defending you, simply because of a terrible coincidence, negligence or outright malfeasance.

@JustAnotherBuckyLover I tend to cut defense lawyers a decent amount of slack, but Owens specifically sought out this case and took on his client pro bono. He is the only lawyer she found that would agree to her defense strategy.

@@doom4067 Oh yeah, absolutely. I agree there are some complete shysters out there, and some horribly disgusting people with no sense of ethics. I'm just explaining why, generally speaking, I feel it's a good thing that everyone is entitled to decent legal representation. But I don't disagree that there are some complete buttholes in the field.🙂

@@jaggybee4704 I know, I understand, I really do. Sometimes it just feels so gross. But I guess there's a reason why certain fields (including lawyers) are over-represented by the subset of people who have a clinically documented issue with feeling little or no empathy/guilt. That probably helps when they fall into the shyster camp.

Disturbing and evil is what I felt as soon as I saw the video and I can’t imagine what it was like for him to die like that.
