Because everyone deserves proper representation. If we start limiting which cases do or don't deserve legal representation, it's a slippery slope. While, in this case, the evidence was extraordinarily damning, there are many cases where supposedly slam-dunk cases have later been shown to be completely wrong (either by horrible coincidence, by poor police work, or by certain detectives or whatnot actively lying/planting evidence etc.) and so many more where someone has been wrongfully blamed or framed by people outside of the police force. Human rights, constitutional rights, all those good things? They apply to EVERYONE, not just the "nice" people. I understand why you find it skeevy. I really do - it's absolutely not something that I could do either, and there are some (notably EVERY lawyer that tries to blame the victim of an SA or bring up their sexual history, etc) that I think behave repulsively and it infuriates me every time. But that's why. And honestly, if someone can overcome that natural, visceral disgust over defending someone guilty of a horrible crime because they believe so strongly in fair representation, I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. It's tough, and many criminal defence lawyers don't last precisely *for* that reason. But one day (as much as I hope not) you might be in need of an attorney that is being called disgusting for defending you, simply because of a terrible coincidence, negligence or outright malfeasance.
@JustAnotherBuckyLover I tend to cut defense lawyers a decent amount of slack, but Owens specifically sought out this case and took on his client pro bono. He is the only lawyer she found that would agree to her defense strategy.

That probably helps when they fall into the shyster camp.
Justice was served. I have never been in an abusive relationship. I know that many people feel trapped in their relationships, and don’t get out soon enough. It seems like she had every opportunity to simply walk out before it came down to this.
This is why two addicts should never date. This was a codependent, toxic relationship. I can't believe Sarah didnt take the plea deal.
Not gon lie, that ad was top tier 😂
Can you imagine being the poor man with this absolutely crazy and evil woman? She's horrific
I don’t what made him trust her enough for him to let her zip him up in the suitcase is beyond me but she had bad intentions the moment she zippered it shut. Disturbing and evil is what I felt as soon as I saw the video and I can’t imagine what it was like for him to die like that. Knowing she was right there and all she had to do was unzip it and hide and seek is over instead he’s over. She deserves the same.
Guilty? No way! Circumstantial evidence at best (sarcasm). Was it the video she took of her taunting him?
Gave me anxiety knowing he couldn’t breathe in there. What a horrible despicable woman? 😡
I hope she gets life without the possibility of parole.
Leaving him to die, this is exactly what she did!
Hey Chris and Amy! I definitely believe this woman is a certified nutcase. The way she acted in court??? She's definitely got something...I'm not even sure if psychiatrists/ologists even know. Never seen anything like it. See ya soon! Great recap!😊❤
“old sparky”is calling Sarah…..please
Hey Chris and Amy! This woman is pure evil. And a bit stupid too. But that’s a good thing. She’s one of those people who wouldn’t tell the truth if it slapped her in the face. Let her rot in prison. IMO.
❤️💜💚
So sad 😢 RIP George 🙏
Only a truly evil person could sit there listening to his pleas for air and laugh at him and not help him.
Still Waiting on that ReCap of Avery/Dassey. It needs a quality deep dive from you guys.
Nice video Amy’s husband!
Thank you!!
His name is pronounced Jorge(Hor-hay) not George. Geoge is how Sarah would pronounce his name but that is not how it's pronounced. I feel like he deserved to at least have his name correctly pronounced during the trial and videos mentioning him
Facts i can't believe ppl don't know the difference in pronunciation between jorge and George these days lol
Well, Jorge in Brasil, it's pronounced as George...if he was brazilian it would be pronounced with the G sound...ok he's was not Brazilian, Sorry, just couldn't help myself 😅
There was no game of Hide and Seek. Sarah admitted in her initial 911 call, that she put him in the suitcase.
You don’t know what happened??? Did he lock himself in the suitcase? Mad woman.
I wonder if Jorge passed out after drinking, and that's when she put him in the suitcase... Hide & seek game my 🍑! The poor man later woke up and started beging for help🙏🏼😪
Really got to admire lawyer number 9! He did awesome! She is awful....."UNINTENTIONALLY"😮
Rest in Peace, Jorge ❤
Her lawyer is even more stupid, how dare he defend her saying he was going to hurt her if he got out. So it was okay to leave him in there.
If you drink avoid suitcases...
If you drink avoid narcissistic manipulators.
Now that the trial is over, I think Sarah Boone is ready to announce her endorsement deal with Samsonite !
did she get the idea from Edgar Alan Poe's "A Cask Of Amontillado"?
This woman is selfish and disgusting! Justice was served. Poor Jeorge’s family will never get over this senseless drunken murder!!!!
Why would anyone get in a suitcase and let someone zip it up? I know this story is true but it’s unbelievable.
she is guilty as sin thank goodness the jury got it right
What a vile, vile human being🤬🤬
I have no idea how the police are called because a man chokes his spouse, and he is not charged with attempted murder.
