World's Largest Solid Gold Buddha @Wat Traimit | Bangkok, Thailand Travel

A relatively modest temple at the entrance of Bangkok's Chinatown is home to the world's largest solid gold Buddha image. Made of 18 karat gold, this Buddha image is over 3 meters in height and weighs over 5.5 tons.
The value of the Golden Buddha? $250 million USD.

How does one make a buddha that big? I want to make one out of a cheaper metal maybe copper or bismuth if I can find the right molds.

There’s are nine keys that unlock the image into 9 pieces for ease of transport and construction. The late abbot destroyed the keys as a symbolic gesture that the image will not be moved again. This is significant because the image has been in a Thai capital city since Sukhothai, and it has only been moved because of war.
