- The Biden administration is planning to resettle some migrants from four Latin American countries in Italy and Greece, CBS News' Camilo Montoya-Galvez has learned. The plan is meant to curtail illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.

They're AT home. This program is to discourage people from leaving home to travel to the US border. The individuals are processed at the offices the US set up in four Latin American countries last year. They are then legally resettled in the US or in one of the other countries participating in the program.

Yes, the United States will be paying these countries in order to take them in. Just like the UK recently paid the country of Rwanda to take their 'migrants'.
Some rural towns in this part of Europe are desperate for new residents because all of the young moved away so it's possible that it can benefit them.

I’ve been to Italy 3 times and Greece also 3 times months at a time in face I’m in Greece right now. What’s makes he think these countries are just going to welcome them with open arms. Beautiful part of the world but people here don’t make jack but still work very hard. Just one example a full time police officer in Athens Greece makes a little over €1,000 per month while a cop in California makes $100,000 plus.

Actually, "resettlement" has a very specific meaning. The average deportee is not resettled by the feds ... they are just removed. So, no ... nothing to do with political correctness.
And since participants in this program never actually enter the US, we cannot actually report them.
