How come only the half dome magnets are used for security tags? does the shape really matter or can you use any strong magnet?

That's a good question? I haven't tried a different shape. However, it makes sense that any strong Magnet would work. Let us know if you try it!

Na I’ve tried crazy big ones and they only work for security lock boxes on perfume not the clothes one I say just buy the one in the vid that’s what I’m gonna do

@@susgamer2039 yeah i think the shape make a diff, cause i tried using reg magnets that hold up to 150 lbs and nothing happened. Gonna order this magnet soon cause i have some shoes i found with the tags still on..

Nice video, I'm just curious about what you're going to use these security retail tags in the future. I'd always find retail tags interesting as a kid. I recently bought fishing magnets to remove a security tag stuck on clothes. Anyways, good luck finding collecting retail tags😊

We didn't use them for anything. Didn't think of that. Did the fishing magnets work? Sounds good.

Yes, using fishing did work. The one I purchased is 14 bucks and handles 300 lbs. It's however a hassle since it took me roughly 20 seconds to wiggle the pin from the tag.
