I was only ten years old when I climbed the Triglav together with my parents and brothers. That was around 1971. We climbed it again two years later. No helmets, nothing. The pins and the cables were already there. And the cage of Faraday on top was orange back then. My favourite mountain. Hands and feet mountain I called it. You really had to use them to get to the top.
Nice video and useful for our hiking preparations. This summer we'll try to climb the Triglav with our 3 kids (7,9&12yr) in a one-day hike (starting in the 'very early morning/night'), actually, the two oldest ones asked for it :-). They have experience in the Julian Alps, French Alps and High Tatras, I'm curious if they will make it to the top before 12pm ... :-)
Hello. 12h up and down. This is about 1900 meters in height difference. Start at 944m (Krma), finish 2864m. Hard? You must hike all day. Easier option is hiking for 2 days. Don't forget hiking boots, helmet... ! Good luck.
@@motorist46 We managed to get up and back to the hut lower down the valley, but couldnt get a taxi to pick us up, so we spent the night in Hut and walked all way to our hotel at lake Bohinj the next day, amazing walk out, so glad we did. Thanks for advice

I found my pictures of the climb and I was actually 9 years old when I climbed it the first time.
Thanks for showing me another possible route to Triglav! :)
The best video from Triglav I saw :)

Hello you did it with out via ferrata set ? is it possible ?
I did without the ferrata set, but it is recommended to have it, depending on experience. Now I also have a helmet, which is almost a must.
