    Hello, Italian here. Don't worry, we're not offended by jokes on our accent or hand gestures.
    About Waltz speaking in Italian, I have to say he did a great job, but we can hear he is not a native speaker, because he sounds a little odd and he makes a couple of mistakes. He doesn't sound like a german speaking in Italian though, he's very close to the perfection.

    • @wadumin

      He isn't simply "did a great job"; Christoph Waltz is known to speak fluently in German, English, French and Italian, and can briefly understand Spanish and Russian; in one of the interviews he mentioned "learning european languages" was a kind of his personal hobby for some time in his youth.

    • @LightMovies
      @LightMovies 18 днів тому

      @@k338914 No, Waltz doesn't speak italian, he just learnt his lines for the movie, which makes the thing much more impressive, considering he doesn't sound as a German at all when he speaks in Italian.
      Anyway, if you speak italian fluently you are also able to understand spanish. I've never studied spanish in my life and I get 80% of what a spanish native speaker says.

    • @n_other_1604

      @@LightMovies I think he speaks italian because Tarantino once sais in an interview he almost gave up on the project because he couldn't find a german (or austrian) that speaks italian. I think there are more who could make a decent job just learning the particular lines.

    • @LightMovies
      @LightMovies 16 днів тому +1

      @@n_other_1604 You think wrong. I'm Italian and I saw him at a Con. He doesn't speak a word of Italian.

    Q had this film written and was working on casting it for several years. He had all of the roles filled but could not find someone to play Landa. If he had not found an actor with not only Waltz's talent, but also his multililingual profficiency, the film may never have been made.
    After working with Christoph in this film, he wrote Dr. King Schultz for him.

    Funny thing: Antonio Margheriti was a REAL Italian film director, known for amongst other things, Spaghetti Westerns. Tarantino is a fan of his work. His name also appears in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, as the director of one of the fictional films Rick Dalton made in Italy, “Operazione Dyn-o-mite.”

    This movie is super important to me as I first watched it with my paternal grandfather who fought in WW2 and was friends with many British soldiers, there were specific moments and events that he would say ‘that’s accurate’ or ‘yep that’s how me and my unit worked’ and it was fascinating to hear his perspective on the events of that time

(Hong Kong 'kung-fu' movie studio logo, 1950s-'60s) in it clued me in. "Oh, yeah..we grew up watching the same stuff." 😄 Check out "Reservoir Dogs", IIRC it was his first big one.

    Inglorious Bastards was the first Hollywood movie Christoph Waltz started in. Tarantino casted him after searching for so long for someone to play the colonel which Tarantino thought can't be played because of multiple languages the actor was suppose to perform in. Walts is fluent in English, German, French and Italian and it was fate, that Taranto and Walts should meet and for him to play this role for which he won his first Oscar. Only Waltz can play ultra racist (Inglorious Bastards) and kind humanitarian (Django Unchained) and win two Oscars for those roles.

    I love your reactions and how you guys pick up on a lot of the dialog choices that Tarantino makes. This has been one of my favorite movies since it came out, and I wish more reactors would give it a try. To answer a couple of questions: Some of the German officers/characters were actual people (especially the High Command such as Goebbels, Himmler), and the mark on Aldo's neck is actually a scar, suggesting someone or something slit his throat and he was able to survive. My guess is that its supposed to be a testament to his resilience and almost mythical nature to the the Nazis in the film.

    Tarantino complained that in movies people are strangled unnaturally. Therefore, when it came time for Christoph Waltz to strangle Diane Kruger, he demanded that the actor strangle hard, with full dedication. Waltz cautiously objected that he could kill the blonde. Then Tarantino decided to show how strangling is done, and, as a result, it was the take when Quentin strangles that went into the montage.
    That is, hands on the throat of the actress - Quentin. And he strangled powerfully and crossed the line of what was acceptable: actress Diana Kruger actually lost consciousness and would hardly have survived a second such take.

    To try and help; when you interrupt the film every couple of lines, it becomes very hard to get into the flow of your reaction. More film and fewer commentary would help. Makes it way too jumpy with the back and forth and so it never establishes enough to keep paying attention.

      Wel always try to improve, the thing is in order for us to be able to use the copyrighted material we have to add commentary, so we stay in line with the fair use law, and we try our best to not just say random irrelevant shit, but good comments, but i appreciate your suggestion mate❤

      Some of the Germans were just forced to wear the uniform and weren't bad in heart, and you see examples of it in movies like Jojo rabbit and pianist.

    Why do people in reaction channels feel the need to speak aloud every thought, and emotion they have? Also the need to predict, and figure out everything little thing, when ten seconds later the answer is revealed? Please stop looking into the camera, and trying to entertain the viewers, the entertainment is the content you, and we our watching, stop making it about you.

      Um, it’s a reaction video 🤪 Go rent the movie if you don’t want input from the reviewers.

    • @Jay-l9b4o
      @Jay-l9b4o 19 днів тому

      @ They are suppose to be reactors, not reviewers, which is a big difference. I am here to watch the content, and witness them genuinely react to content, that is what a reaction channel is, not to witness them be reviewers, or entertainers.

      Sorry hon, it’s called a MOVIE REACTION CHANNEL, Which means people react to movie not just watch them silently

    • @Jay-l9b4o

      @@Anetkari You don't have to talk to show your reaction to something. Facials expressions, laughing, crying, gasping, all the emotional reactions you can perceive from a person's physical movements, etc...

      It's not pointless, it's entertainment. If you don't like the film, or Tarantino himself or whatever, that's fine. But stupid statements like you made just let people know that you can't think beyond your own biases.

      I was hoping it would be good. Severely disappointed. He's such a hack. Lets see, A hitler movie, a manson, movie, a slavery movie. What a risk taker. What's next a vampire movie. Oh crap he already did that. It was just dumb. The same sound track as pulp which totally didn't fit. He is carried by great actors. Why does it piss you fan boys off that some people can't stand him or his movies. I think he makes movies just to get his foot fetish on.
