Thank you Jasmin for your informative video. I can call myself a "cigar smoker". I have just recently started smoking various New World cigars in an attempt to understand the difference between inexpensive and pricier cigars. Here in North America we have an overwhelming variety of cigar varieties and I am still searching for that perfect cigar that has the right notes that appeals to my palette. I don't know if I will ever achieve the cigar status as an aficionado because I simply don't smoke enough and I am also not willing to invest into a humidor and accumulating a cigar collection. I am willing to experiment with expensive cigars like Habanos but I doubt if I will ever be a consistently daily smoker. What I dislike is the snobbery expressed by certain cigar aficionados. Cigar smoking has actually become a very extensive hobby and I have been shocked by the ignorance of even cigar retailers who dare to call themselves "sales" representatives. What I believe is this, all cigar smokers and aficionados have something to learn from one another. Whether its cigar etiquette, brand knowledge or even sharing information about something as simple as cutters its really unbelievable how extensive cigar smoking has become as a past time/hobby/addiction. I definitely agree with someone having the title of "cigar aficionado" but that shouldn't be a reason to look down or mock cigar smokers. Cigar smokers and even cigar aficionados are people from all walks of life with different budgets and habits. When these people get together they should be sharing their knowledge and information on how they most enjoy cigar smoking in order to influence or at least gain friendships among the members of their fellow cigar consuming community.
Excellent video. I'm definitely a Rookie cigar smoker. Only 40 cigars smoked under my belt. But I am learning about Cigars from channels like yours.
Just started smoking cigars and by watching Jas and his blogs I'm getting well educated and by the way, he knows how to style with those nice threads.

Well i'm not rich to afford cigars over 50 euros /- dollars but i want to smoke a quality cigar at least 2-3 times a month. I maybe can't buy a full humidor of 25 pcs but even when i'm out of budget for my cigars i always think about cigars and where/-when to smoke one. There is no passing day without thinking of myself with a big fat quality cigar in my mouth. It's more than a hobby or obsesseion it's a meditation, a lifestyle, a journey.
I love quality cigars. I always feel happy when smoking one no matter what i got through that day.
why do i have a feeling that in a community of cigar smoker there is a lot of guys who are a pro in a league of amateurs? it should be a hobby not something serious and religious. i want to stay an amateur and not care about what pros say. its a hobby. should bring you fun. i wanna try cigars and learn something about them but never had a plan to be a wikipedia for cigars like some guys who know everything about every leaf.

A cigar aficionado that you described is not an aficionado necessarily it’s more of an obsession , or an addiction cigar aficionado has a deep passion for a cigar, regardless of how often he smokes!

Been smoking 10 yrs & i smoke 3 cigars a day!! Id like to cut back but its IMPOSSIBLE because im IN LOVE with Cigars!! Ive tried hundreds upon hundreds of Cigars & my FAVORITE cigar is the Alec Bradley Black Market & NO CIGAR comes close to it, its my PERFECT & FAVORITE so i dont need to smoke many different blends because NOTHING satisfies me like the ALEC BRADLEY BLACK MARKET!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
