Nice!
Looks great, did you get round to creating the plan? Would love to get hold of it and give it a go
It was 1/4" thicker because you bought rough sawn.
Surfaced 2x4 is actually 1.5x3.5
@@gregmatchett7110 correct, that’s what they sell at Home Depot.
@@imperialwoodworking in the video you didn't seem to know why or articulate why that was and you instead said it was because of the species of wood.
Love this!
So clean 🔥
Nice
i always wondered how the cushions survive the rain. do wash them everytime they get rained on or run to take them inside when it rains
The cushion are in good shape but they do get pretty dirty so I have to rinse them off every once in a while.
Nice build! Cedar is so great looking! I just built mine but from a simple design as it was my first crack at it. Hopefully it’ll hold well. I usually use Helmsman spar urethane on my outdoor builds and add like 3 coats. Only used Thompsons once.. do u feel it’s better? Just curious. Congrats on the new house!
@@tro8191 Awesome glad to hear it! This was also my first time using Thompsons water sealer and it held up pretty good for the first 9 months or so but then you have to reapply it so I’m not sure which is better. Spar urethane is a good choice though so that should do well just need to sand and reapply once a year probably.
what angle is backrest, google says 15 deg is optimal for comfort but i see some with more angle like 20 deg
Measurements plz
My boy 😤
