My mother in law taught me a hack for cleaning the hood fan filters - pop them in the dishwasher! It really works and since there's less hands on work, I am more motivated to clean it regularly.
Wow, that shot of you standing in front of your sink at about the 19-20 minute mark really brought me back to what the house looked like when you first bought it. It's amazing what you and your husband have done to turn it into a beautiful, functional home. It's very inspiring to see what it looks now in light of what it was.

good idea to line all baking pans with a bit of parchment even if its just on the bottom. Not that Noemi decluttered books, but be careful not to get rid of cookbooks or favorites; I did when emigrating and deeply regret getting rid of the entire collection of Cordon Blue Cookery Course from the seventies, all 72 magazines, I would love to page through them now

problem with that is I believe they're aluminum which goes black in the dishwasher for some weird reason
