Well here we are! It's Neo Geo series time! Because damn it...it's my favorite retro gaming platform of all time and I've been collecting for the Neo Geo AES for years! As far as retrogaming collecting goes...it's not cheap, but don't forget...you can always get the 1:1 experience on MiSTer FPGA, which is how I am playing this now!

It’s funny how many golf games decided the clicking on a moving meter thing is like the way to do it. Like it feels a bit arbitrary and if a couple decisions had been made differently in the early games all the rest of them would be different too

This one sure is a blast. I enjoy this and League Bowling all the time on my hacked MVSX cabinet. What a fun time with a friend and a few beers. I love the announcements and sound effects as well as the fantastic music.
Its always better with friends and beers. Just like the actual game of golf...highly improved with drinks
This is my favorite golf game as well. The only thing it's missing is a 9 hole or quick game mode.

Great to see this game getting some love. My favourite NeoGeo game. I play it a LOT! Also when I first saw the title, I loaded it because I thought it was a horse racing game. Wound up discovering my favourite NeoGeo game.

I play this and baseball stars as much as any Neo Geo game. They are both tough but super rewarding. Animations and music are incredible.
The Neo Geo has great sports games. Like way better than you'd expect from a system predominately known for fighting games
I bought the Arcade Archives release of this game (which for some reason goes by its alternate title, Big Tournament Golf) last time it went on sale, and I was completely addicted for at least 2 weeks! 😁

I love the high-detail pixel graphics and cool perspective windows in Neo Turf Masters/Big Tournament Golf. Awesome presentation all around, and one of the best sources of meme reaction images I've seen
The MEME potential is huge. That is for sure. But shouldn't you be playing Bonestorm?
This looks slightly more enjoyable to play then Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf on the Genesis which I find is the best Golf game I have played. This Neo Geo game was buyable on the Series X a few months ago.

The only golf games that come close to this are mario golf 64, mario golf advance, and everybody's golf on the ps4.

I've always enjoyed simple golf games. HAL's Hole in One Golf on the SNES was one of my go-to golf games back in the day. I later also enjoyed the various Mario Golf games.

I love Neo Turf Masters VGE. What a fun Golf title that really showed why the sport isn't a waste of time like many feel it is. Have to admit, I always like Golf and use to spend a good amount of tokens in the arcades to play it. Worth it for sure bro.

When I brought my mister to a friend, who had a neo geo back in the day, for the first time, this was the literally first game he insited we play together.
It really is a blast!

My problem is I plan on playing it for 10-15 minutes and suddenly two hours goes by and I can’t even figure out how that happened

Best Golf game ever? VERY POSSIBLY (Everybody's Golf says Hi!). I'll admit that up until I got a multicart, Top Player's Golf got all my attention as I have a physical copy and it's a decent game that's definitely under appreciated ~ especially when it's up against Turf Masters/Big Tournament Golf.

It is a great game! It might not be as deep as the PGA tour golf games but the graphics and animations are nice, the courses look cool. It's tough but a lot of fun.

The US MVS carts can still be gotten from anywhere between 40- 80 bucks. It's not so bad. Anything more is just getting ripped off.

Best golf game EVER. I had some friend sober and tried to have a Neo Geo game night/party and everybody just kept complaining that there isn't a track ball like Golden Tee.

We actually used to play Golden Tee every single weekend at the bar back in the day, but this is way better.
Track ball is fun till you break your wrist 😂 there is nothing wrong with Golden Tee. Tons of fun. Just not as good as this

@@VideoGameEsoterica naw man, I was 12 years old with a PS1 and had never even heard of anyone who owned a Neo Geo. Besides what was in the arcades my exposure was zero until pretty recently. This will definitely get loaded up onto the Mister with my buddies, it looks exactly up our alley.
We lost an entire summer to Hot Shots gold Fore in like 2003 so I really can’t wait to load this up.

Another great video! The Japanese version, however, is not cheap or easy to find by any means. Even if you are able to find a legit Japanese version, you are looking at at least $8,500. There is actually one on Yahoo Japan right now (authenticity not confirmed btw) that’s at about $10k with 3 days left and 149 bids, and that’s with the current super weak Yen.

@@VideoGameEsoterica I'm happy to report I actually love this game so far, I don't know anything about golf but this game has been very easy to pickup and play, I absolutely love the music, I'm surprised this one didn't have sequel, I played with both the Neogeo CD and arcade version for the last hour and prefer the music of the CD but honestly it's only a slight improvement as the original arcade is outstanding

This is low key one of my favorite Neo Geo titles.
And in my opinion, the best golf game ever made! Bold statement I know but, It’s so friendly to the player, and the controls are very intuitive. This game is in my regular rotation. Surprisingly Nazca never made a sequel to this.. incredible game

Try the golfer from the UK (the technician) the precision his shots provide are incredible, if you haven’t in a bit guaranteed it will amaze you how much more control he offers.. IMO 👍🏻

8BitDo really did a good job with that controller
