  • In this video, we rebuild a bucket tilt cylinder off of a New Holland LB75B. The lockwire in it is frozen- not the worst we've ever seen, but bad enough that it has to be air hammered all most all the way out. Enjoy!

Just rebuilt 2 of these cylinders and the wire wouldn't move but I had enough to clamp on some vise grips and tap them out with a small hammer

Do you have the part number for the seal kit? I have the same machine/cylinder as in this video (and have learned that they aren't all the same for LB75Bs). Also, in other videos they talked about changing the seals on the piston head, but you say in this video that they aren't replaceable? If I can't find a kit I'll have to look for random seals that fit, and I want to be sure if I should try to take the piston head seals off or not....Thanks!

Hey! If you can measure the rod and piston, I can give you better info on the seals. I believe this one was 40 x 80- is that what yours is? As far as the piston seals- I’m not sure what I said in the video, but it’s the black pieces you can’t replace. You can remove and replace the yellow piston seal in the middle- it’s a two piece piston seal….. let me know if your rod is 40 MM and your piston 80 MM and I should be able to help you out

What do you do if the lockwire breaks inside while spinning it out.

Get something skinny to try and jam under the piece left in it. Then turn it so the wire (hopefully) turns up and out of the groove

@@carolinahydraulichose6253 I'll try. Thanks. It broke before it ever started to move.
