@Mark Hanna Awesome! I hope you like it :) The course I recommend in the video isn't just for video editing, but having a successful youtube channel as whole and it's by Marques Brownlee called UA-cam Success: Script, Shoot and Edit with MKBHD. But you can also just look up video editing courses and find loads of options. I'd recommend going with the top rated classes and Skillshare Originals.
You are such a brave lady I am watching your videos since 2020 I think you should find your partner as soon as possible & travel with him God keep you always healthy wealthy happy and safe Much love & pray from Baku
I can fully understand it’s very easy to get a minor breakdown between travels. It allways happens to me when I’m overseas halfway through a holiday sometimes week 3 or 4 I get a day of just feeling tired and homesick.
As a fellow introvert, I completely understand what you are saying about the need for alone time, regardless of whether you are on the road or not. I am happy to see you doing your thing and the enthusiasm that you have for travel and meeting others. I wish you safety and happiness in your travels for as long as you are on the journey.
Solo travelling is a BLAST!!! You rely on yourself alone to survive & make things happen. Your safety net is gone and you are forced to operate outside your comfort zone. Exhilarating experience, highly recommend it.
I totally understand how you feel! I did a solo traveling trip by myself 4 years ago and had the time of my life! Of course I had some moments where I felt a little lonely, but the thing I always bared in mind was that I did something far more courageous than what most people could never do, which is taking a solo trip. I still recall times where I'd kindly ask locals for help if I was a little lost or either locals or other tourists would ask me for help. It would always give me that happy vibe! Also, I would go to places where I know in advanced that people love to socialize and I'd simply take the stand to urge myself into it without forcing myself to do it unnaturally, and I had an amazing time! We all have a breaking point in our lives, but we always gotta remind ourselves it's what we do that makes us exemplary and also exceptionally gifted, and everything you share definitely qualifies as that!
I am sure there are moments when things get lonely, traveling alone. But you help so many people who are not traveling and are lonely. Did you ever look at it that way? I have spent most of the last two years recovering from surgery and spent many days in the hospital and I look forward to checking my UA-cam subscriptions to see if you uploaded a new video. So, your work helps others. I know that doesn't take away the loneliness, but maybe it makes it a little more palatable...safe travels! Oh and my reward for recovering from all the surgeries: I am planning a solo trip to Ukraine. Just to see the country. You inspired me to take the trip, thanks!
I love being a solo traveler and honestly have an easier time traveling alone than with others. Feel more free, I do what I want, and meet more people where I travel to. I don't consider myself an introvert. I'm a pretty outgoing person who craves social interaction very much so. But I grew up an only child in a family that loved to relocate often, so I just got used to doing things myself and having my own space very early on, including traveling.

What a helpful video for potential solo travellers out there, Alina. Great informative video , thanks for the honest input. And yes , Itchy Boots is a favorite. Now will watch Stifa too. All the best From Langley , BC , Canada.
i have traveled quite a bit over the years. sometimes with partners, mostly solo. there have been times when i felt company to share an experience with would be nice. then there's that feeling of complete freedom, every little thing is a new adventure, every corner i turn a new destination, everything is possible, every moment is viral and i feel intensely new and alive. i only felt that way solo, but maybe that's just me. all good wishes to you alina.
Good Morning Alina. Greetings from Calgary, AB. It’s always good to watch your periodic, common sense, travel tips. They all make so much good sense and will obviously be a huge benefit to everyone who cares to listen. I continue to watch and thoroughly enjoy all of your UA-cams - keep them coming. Be safe & healthy.
Having travelled alone before I can identify with this message Alina. Your suggestions are correct and should be a guide for any woman moving about alone. Love your channel! 🤍💙❤
I love your life style, doing what you want when you want, brave and clever person.. Free spirit is the ultimate life, I have had my moments and never regret a moment, now 67 and still free... 😀👏

That's kind of a sad commentary on the general cultural state of North America. North America used to be infinitely safer than much of the non-Western world.
Hoi, Alina, super interesting vid, well done and especially good to follow. Travelled and reviewed lot´s of part`s of the world alone and for myself, the people can`t understand why. Well, you are closer to you´reself alone, it´s much easier to go in contact with local people. Otherwise it´s also perfectly nice when there is someone around you to share exeriences and talk. Both is good, depending on the situation, but the "crazy" trips, such as around the world in five days, it´s better done alone!. Stay safe and healthy, always.
Alina!!! I have followed you for a short time, but until now, in all of my life, I believe you have revealed to me that I too, in fact, am an introvert! I think what took me so long to realize this is that although I have no problems being in the midst of big crowds of people, I have always, as long as I can remember, enjoyed being on my own in my many travels, enjoying my space, and watching life from "the outside!" I don't know if that makes sense, but it's like I love to watch life as if I am invisible or oblivious to others. With that being said, Covid restrictions have just disrupted my plans in Argentina, so now I am off to find another country to travel to in the meantime. I will check out Skillshare, as I now find myself with plenty of free time.
Возможно , в какой-то момент , путешествия в одиночку утомляют и хочется делиться впечатлениями не только с подписчиками, но с близким тебе человеком , как по духу , так и во всём остальном. Даже такой самодостаточной личности , как наша Алина !
Alina, greetings from Ireland, I have travelled most of my life solo, you can do what you want when you want. Your travel safety tips were excellent,. I started many years ago with Interrail,, done most of Europe, Sadly with the current situation, plus my employer has strict policies all depend on what the Irish Government has. Currently non-essential travel not advisable, Hopefully, next year I can get back to travelling.
What a genuinely awesome and wholesome person you are. I have totally enjoyed watching you in various unique locales, especially in nature and interacting with the local people and animals. I understand when you say you’re an introvert (and the need to recharge), but I think you handle people graciously. Not an extreme introvert or agoraphobic, obviously. Best friends are those who unconditionally respect your need for space, but love it when you offer your sweet interaction. We never “possess” anyone. There is likely so much more to you than we (in the public domain) will ever see. But, thank you for sharing that gracious friendliness that you do. Perhaps someday “stars will align” and that special someone, who can share in the lifestyle, will appear. Your “journeys” are within an even larger “journey” that has greater significance for who you are. If I met you, I’d be so grateful to buy your lunch and talk about your most cherished experiences. Be safe, be strong, and remember you are loved! Thank you for being in the world!
Yes..ur wright Alina.. keep a low profile. Stay safe n healthy..reach out if u feel too lonely 😭.. better to have a conversation then have a wandering minds,..b strong Alina with 💕 from Asia Et
The gypsy or itinerant traveler lifestyle has always been with us. There are people who aren’t even attached to a country; like the Romany who originally came from India come to mind and people like them enjoy the freedom of not being tied down by a border or the claim to a particular nationality. Go and live where you want shouldn’t be controversial. For some people, being able to travel is the ultimate freedom and we should respect it.
Alina and I are introverts! We don’t like crowds, we do our best thinking alone and we find it uncomfortable when people crowd our space without being asked. I’m happy traveling solo but I’ve found couple travels to be downright memorable. Its always funny when your partner asks you to get something for them you’d rather not. Anyway, to make a long story short, a solo traveler should have fun! That’s the entire point of being on your own to see the world.
I can totally relate! I have travelled both as a single solo and with partners and groups. When I travel alone I go where "I" want to go and when I travel with others, I tend to go where "they" want to go. If I spend good, hard earned money to travel I like to go where "I" want to go. I tend to be a people pleaser and go along to get along, so for me solo travel is the only way I can have a truly fulfilling experience. Plus out of my six or seven solo traveling adventures, all except one have I met up with other solo travelers and hung out with them for at least part of my journey. Some are still friends to this day.
Hi Alina, I am so grateful and thankful for watching your sharing video. Honestly I have never travelled alone, it is very interesting that you and some other guys all over the world are travelling alone. Agreed with you that safety is all depends on different people different things like I am an Asian. I believe if I walk alone in some European countries I will become a target. Honestly I have no intention to offend anyone here but trust this is true. Once again happy to see your heartedly sharing. Enjoy your trip and see your next time.
I am full of admiration of you Alina , but we are privileged to be able to watch your entertaining and very interesting posts , keep up the amazing work ,
I’m fully with you there. I’m a solo traveller as well. I have more fun traveling solo than traveling with people. I’m an introvert as well. Some people couldn’t understand why I travel solo, they think it must be lonely and think I’m weird, but I meet people along the way, read a book, observe the beautiful scenery, etc. I so enjoy traveling solo. I wouldn’t trade it with anything else. Love your videos.

Great video Alina! I really envy your choice of lifestyle! Solo travelling might not be for everyone, but everyone should at least try solo travelling once, male or female. Once you have travelled solo, everything will not be the same anymore! Your ego will be smaller, your love for fellow human being will be greater, your care for our dear Mother Earth will increase and for all these, you will be a better person. What a life! Good luck!
Thank you so much Alina! Your share here was well received and I think we are all relieved that you enjoy so much what you do for us all the time. I know that you are well aware how to keep yourself safe and frankly I would not want to be one that would bother you to the point of you being uncomfortable in any way! I think that it is always a concern just knowing you are okay and I'm glad that you keep close touch with the close ones you have in your life. You shared some very good pointers to be taken by anyone not only a woman but to anyone who travels alone, this was a great video that you did for us, keep smiling Cheers!!
Loved watching your video as per usual. The reason I enjoy them is your clarity and unhurriedness in explaining a subject matter. I recon you would be an excellent marketing person in promoting any product because you come across as very BELIEVABLE.
The best thing i ever did was travel alone after friends started coupling up having children and I felt too old to go with family on holidays, we are similar i feel , enjoy your travels hopefully one day meet up for a beer 🍺 or coffee ☕ 😀 somewhere hot
Hi Alina! I personally identify much with what you are saying. I’ve travelled solo, with my wife, and I have also planned, organized and led small group (10-to-15 people) touring excursions. There are plusses and minuses with each travel variant. I very much enjoy travelling with my wife, in Europe and North America. But I am an introvert at heart and I am comfortable travelling alone, even though there can be some lonely moments. Although I am an introvert, I have no difficulties in reaching out to and talking with strangers. It’s amazing how we can be totally open and honest and have great conversations with people we do not know. I also enjoy the freedom and independence of doing and seeing what I most prefer. I can also be an appeaser or people-pleaser in group situations. So when non-solo travelling, I can defer a bit to the wants and preferences of others.
You represent a beauty of Slavic women, you do not deserve to be alone. I left Soviet Union 47 years ago as a child and I understand what your path was, even though I am a man. Take care of yourself
Well, this video was exactly what I expected. Most of these questions and tips you've stated in numerous video's before, but now you can just direct the questioners to this video. You will continue to get these questions cause growing viewership and some just think they have a new question despite you having literally answered question more than once especially in livestreams. Alina just talking direct to camera in a straight forward manner is always welcome.
You, Gabe, and some other UA-camrs are inspiration for many of us. As an introvert myself, I travel alone, and enjoy it. I don't have to worry about another person, regarding schedules, sites to see, etc. Hopefully soon, I can get back out to Europe after this pandemic lockdown.
Great insights! I feel like the first aid kit and travel insurance tips are something that people don't often think about, and your last tip is always the first thing I tell people new to travel. Don't be a soft target!
Great video...very good tips.....also, it's always nice to find new channels so thanks for shouting out your friends...I have been a fan of Syifa for a little while now but I'll certainly check out the other two...have you watched any of Victoria Rose? she does a lot of solo travel as well as with friends...you might enjoy
Thank you so much William, for mentioning me! That's very kind of you. I also just checked out Victoria Rose and subscribed to her, thanks for recommending her channel!
Nice tips Thanks 🙏I’m also an introvert and think that this topic isn’t enlightened anought, people (extroverts) still think that it’s weird when you don’t go out like every night and when you are ok being alone 🤷♀️
Thank you for doing what you doing and for your sharing of all of your experiences! Wishing you continued safe travels and hope you continue to share all of your great experiences with us!
Your welcome! So proud of you and what you are doing. It takes not only a lot of planning and skills, but also a lot of gumption to do what you do in bringing all of these fantastic videos to us. Thank you again!
Alina you answered my question. Another one question, answer this also. Have you ever experienced paranormal activity while traveling at night alone somewhere in the darkness?coz I put atleast one light in the drawing room if I am alone. I would not be in fear being alone but I hate darkness. Atleadt one person should accompany me while nobody is at home at night.
I recently subscribed to Eva zu Beck. She did several episodes about Ukraine which are truly amazing. I am long subscriber to Indigo Traveller and his channel is very different from other solo travelers because he goes to very dangerous countries like Libya, north Korea, Syria ,Afghanistan and many other countries.
The main point you mentioned..."dont stand out" and flashing whatever overpriced item on you. Where I live, I have seen other Americans do just that, be flashy, and then they get mugged, robbed, assaulted. It's not worth putting yourself in harm's way b/c you refuse to blend in.
Back when I was a "digital nomad", it was called: "working while on holiday". Laptops ran on coal in those days and battery life was measured in Planck time. I had a bag of adapters so I could plug a Cat. 3 phone cable into any phone socket in the world. Anything more than 28.8 kbs/s was considered: " high speed". I remember once checking into a hotel that had a T1 connection and I got to use a Cat. 5 cable. I turned on my laptop and it said: "network connection down: 1 MB/s up: 1 MB/s" and my head nearly exploded. 😲 So in 1998, Microsoft introduced Windows NT4 Terminal Server and we went to a Microsoft office to see a demonstration (no internet video in those days) and we all sat there in total amazement. "This will change how everyone works. WE'LL BE ABLE TO WORK FROM ANYWHERE, gasp." Microsoft wasn't the first to do it, but they were the first to popularize it. The thing is though there are certain things you can't get around, for example, if you have kids (yes blah blah you can drag them around with you, in reality, tricky, leads to loads of problems at POEs), you develop a health problem, or someone in your family develops a health problem and they need help. And the ultimate problem - immigration inspectors. Who sit there in secondary inspection with a bemused look on their face as you explain your complex situation to them and eventually one of them will decide you don't have non-immigrant intent, entry denied and the whole thing unravels at that point. Not such a problem nowadays as remote work is more common, but on the other hand, they're more on the lookout for it. "Why haven't you got a return ticket? Who do you work for? How do you make your money?" Etc.
I think the main benefit of traveling alone is you get to do the activities you want to do and not having to worry about the other people in the group and this is across the board for all types of people
I've made friendships all around the world whilst traveling alone but very rarely when traveling with a friend. Yes, when traveling with a friend, we'll still meet new people but I haven't yet come home from the trip with new long term friendships. That has only happened when I met people as I traveled alone.
Lonely? yes and no its depend on your attitude and your surrounding. I love to travel alone, the good is freedom and satisfaction, the bad is expensive. The best is to have a good partner but that very difficult. I never get lonely or mad if things went wrong. It is a good experience. Get your life worth see the world and you will be glad what you are doing. Take care and stay safe. You are doing great.

I never considered myself an introvert until now. I'm retired and have been alone for ages. There are times I want someone around until I don't. If that makes sense. I just wish I had followed my dream years ago and done what you're doing. I watch Noraly aka Itchy Boots and think damn, I'm not sure I could do what she does. Eva is much the same. And you're a joy to follow. Keep up the great videos. All of you are awesome.
Traveling full-time sounds so enticing and at the same time so intimidating for me. What I mean is, I have a very good software engineering jobs that pays really well. On the other hand, I like to travel a lot too. And I only started travel for a few years because my job is solving my financial problems and financing my travel too. The catch is I can travel maybe at most 3-4 weeks a year in different long holiday times. At present, I am happy with that and will continue to grow as a new born world-citizen. And I am happy to see that you are not in this catch22 and doing what you like.

Thank you, Jerry!
So true. It is no more of a threat to walk the streets at night in lesser known countries than it is in North America.
Yes, it's odd how humans tend to think that their own back yard is that much safer than the rest of the world.
@@AlinaMcleod but good deeds and good karma also helps carve a safer path. How we think attracts likewise. Good to see all the good happening around you, creats environment for you to pay it forward in kind👍
Eva Zu Beck and You are two solo female travelers that I admire the most.
Thank you so much!
Great video as always Alina, lots of useful information, thanks for sharing your precious experience and thoughts.
Hi Alina! Thanks for the video. Good pieces of advise.

Thank you that was very very infomative!
Great tips and advice Alina thank you
You're so welcome!
Great and advice Alina thanks you
The gypsy or itinerant traveler lifestyle has always been with us.
Hi Alina ..great to see you back
Great vlog.😄
I am full of admiration of you Alina , but we are privileged to be able to watch your entertaining and very interesting posts , keep up the amazing work ,
Loved your advice - glad that you take security serious. Please stay safe at all times.
i couldnt believe how sane the streets are in eastern europe the ones here in the usa are deadly everywhere the murder rate is horrible
Bravo!!! Cut Video by yourself? Love your video!!!!!
Hi Alina! 😄🙏👋🌟 I hope your having a terrific fantastic day! This is really a magnificent amazing informational video! 😁👍📹👏💯🥇🌟 Thank you so much Alina to share with us tips and advices on solo traveling. This information will be very helpful when I start traveling again. You are the best and greatest world traveler adventurer in the world! 😃👍📹✈️🌎🗺👏💯🏆🥇🌟 I wish you Alina a wonderful beautiful marvelous blessed day. 😊🙏❤️👋🇦🇲👍🌟
Alina stay strong 💪always 😊 keep going...
Thank you for posting. A lot of good advice in here.
There are not to many people who have the courage to do what they truly have a passion for .
I feel so happy for you .
Keep up the great work !
Thank you! It’s true and sad that many people don’t even try and go after their passions.
Lovely video, keep it up!
That's great you've found what works for you!
Thank you!
Thank you :) Hopefully travel fully resumes soon :)
Excellent !! Thank you for the information on starting a utube Vlogger
Great insights! I feel like the first aid kit and travel insurance tips are something that people don't often think about, and your last tip is always the first thing I tell people new to travel. Don't be a soft target!
I travel alone most of the time and hopefully I only fell into helpful and nice people
GOD BLESS MY FAVOURITE TRAVEL UA-camR!
Thank you for your time and all the info!
Very interesting thank you for this video
I have the very same "low tolerance" for spending time with large crowds. Always have....
I'm intending to overland travel with my retired greyhound and a roof top tent, just need to choose a tent :)
Best wishes from the UK
Very simple and straight forward answers and great tips. Enjoy and stay safe.
I've been listening to Sum41, Simple Plan, Our Lady Peace and Avril Lavigne then this video pops up right in front of my face. Best thing ever !!!
Both you And Syifa are Amazing UA-camr and brave lady. I enjoying watching your video thanks for the great work.
Nice tips
Thanks 🙏I’m also an introvert and think that this topic isn’t enlightened anought, people (extroverts) still think that it’s weird when you don’t go out like every night and when you are ok being alone 🤷♀️
The best things is that you recommend other solo travellers particularly my favorite noraly. You are awesome👍.
Sometimes i have similar feelings about that especially in a stange city alone.
You have soothing beauty. Alina your struggle has made you come so long way, but life is incomplete without struggles. Stay safe and take care
I've travelled with and without people. I prefer it alone because you tend to get chatting more to other people...like you !
Thank you for doing what you doing and for your sharing of all of your experiences! Wishing you continued safe travels and hope you continue to share all of your great experiences with us!
Thank you very much!
Your welcome! So proud of you and what you are doing. It takes not only a lot of planning and skills, but also a lot of gumption to do what you do in bringing all of these fantastic videos to us. Thank you again!
i'm so relieved to hear that i'm not the only one who doesn't like being around people lol
Your work is very beautiful ! Thanks for sharing.
Me too! I don't like large crowds or see too much vehicles and stick in traffic! Alina ,nice of you ,take care!
I recently subscribed to Eva zu Beck. She did several episodes about Ukraine which are truly amazing. I am long subscriber to Indigo Traveller
and his channel is very different from other solo travelers because he goes to very dangerous countries like Libya, north Korea, Syria ,Afghanistan and many other countries.
I think the main benefit of traveling alone is you get to do the activities you want to do and not having to worry about the other people in the group and this is across the board for all types of people
I've always travelled alone, doors open when you are alone. Best thing I did was to keep a diary.
Spot on. Great Advice. Also put yourself on that list with Eva Zu Beck and Itchy Boots. You have what they have.
Thank you :)
I've made friendships all around the world whilst traveling alone but very rarely when traveling with a friend. Yes, when traveling with a friend, we'll still meet new people but I haven't yet come home from the trip with new long term friendships. That has only happened when I met people as I traveled alone.
Thank you for sharing bless you lots of love from Montreal
Lonely? yes and no its depend on your attitude and your surrounding.
This is interesting I am thinking about travel again. It's seem when learning about other countries blogging is very helpful.
So glad that you're (largely) living the life you desire.
Your kind of like me Alina I usually go to places by myself I'm just a loner a lot even if I were to go back to Canada where I'm from and where you used to live i just enjoy my own company and I've had to learn how to do that your really brave to travel by yourself during this pandemic Alina much respect to you yeah it depends on who I'm with Alina I'm an introvert to so I can relate to how you feel
Thank you so much!
@@AlinaMcleod your welcome 👍
@@kippsguitar6539 yeah I Know right LoL 😅
I'll always support your channel. You always have something interesting going on in your travels that I want to do. You're always helping add to my bucket list. If you ever want to take an intern under your wing to help you with you your vlog and so he could learn from you personally I'm game for a week of learning on one of your travels :) Thanks for showing the links as well. I will definitely look into Skillshare.
Haha thank you very much!
Nice start to the video!
Very good 👍 advice Alina!!
Наверное, у всех у нас бывает период, когда мы нагуляемся, напутешествуемся и т.д., а потом наконец осядем где нибудь в приятном для себя уголке.
