- Fifth part of our 2020 English countryside motorcycle trip. In this part we are riding in the Forest of Bowland AONB and exploring the Trough of Bowland pass. What a marvellous place. Well known to local bikers but most others are usually missing it on a way to Yorkshire Dales or the Lakes. It is definitely one of the best places to ride your motorcycle in England. The Trough of Bowland is a pass in hilly area in the Forest of Bowland conservation area. It starts in Clitheroe and go almost up to Lancaster. the trough is a great ride for any motorcyclist. This route have marvellous scenic views with twisty roads but it's not a difficult ride by any means. After bit of exploring Bowlands we went through Yorkshire Dales for a good dinner and some pint. Hope you enjoyed and see you in the next and the last episode of our English Countryside trip. Hope you will stay with use and will keep watching our #MotorcycleAdventure videos. Cheers

I love this ride, The Trough of Bowland has got to be one of the best roads in the UK. I like the story too from the centre of the UK, the old border between two counties and the route the Pendle Witches took to their deaths, add that to an epic road and glorious scenery and what more can you ask for. Oh, Puddleducks!
I love that you're getting to make such great memories with your daughter.
let's hope she will still be happy to go with me this year as she turned 16 :D
beautiful region and music
Thanks Catherine
Top! Fantastic views.
thanks
The word 'Forest' here is used in the traditional English sense. It means 'Royal Hunting Ground'. The area was and still is a popular hunting area with the Royals and their very rich friends. Indeed the land is owned in trust by the Duke of Westminster, who has a residence in Abbeystead. @5:30 Dunsop Bridge, is the geographical centre of England, yes, you can say you have been to the actual centre of the country!! I always enjoy your videos, lovely productions, lovely bike, lovely people. You've had some beautiful weather for your tour, so far...
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation. Now it makes sense... at least some ;) I'm glad you enjoy the vids. Cheers
That was an amazing ride out my friend. I absolutely loved watching this.
I'm glad you did. Cheers
👌👌👌👌Nice VLOG! Thank you for sharing!Hi from Travelly 👍
Thanks for visiting
I remember trips to the Trough of Bowland as a youngster, it was magical then too. Enjoying these escapes during a difficult time with limited travel opportunities. Great your daughter shares your enthusiasm.
It is magical indeed. I'm not certain if she does but yet she still enjoys my company :) Thanks for the comment
I love the vibrant colours you get on your videos!gonna go the forest of Bowland this week as its fairly local to me :)
Really nice place it is. Thanks for the comment mate
@@UncleLongbeard how do you get your sideshots of scenery as your riding? I really like sideshots of beautiful scenery compared to just over the handlebar road shots :)I also share your disdain for motorways yukk!!
Thumbs up 👍🏼 another great video. Nice to see parts of the country I should have already visited.
You definitely should. It's brilliant
Just discovered your channel, fantastic videos. I really enjoy the mix of the bike POV and the views. The Yorkshire dales are a beautiful part of the country, shame it was a big foggy for you in places. Looking forward to your new videos ☺️👍🏻
Thanks for a kind words. I try to do my best ;) cheers
Yes , it's England , don't complain the weather :), Maya is right :)
Wow, very nice video. Nice pictures, nice views, nice bike and good driving. Thumbs up...
Glad you like it
how awesome to have those roads practically to yourselves! :-)
That's why I prefer local roads and single tracks 😎
Awesome looking at planning a stay and ride some of this area,, any recommendations gpx? Thanks
I'm working on it - I'll post the GPX in pinned post before Wednesday, so check it out again soon. Cheers mate
Ciao! Which camera do you use to record your videos? Thanks a lot! 😊
Hero7 black
And btw with ,which hand motorcyclists in England greet each other... I didn't notice ?
We're nodding the head to each other rather than using hands
All the way red light on the tachometer , why ?
I was about to ask same question one day..
I removed some sensors and ECU thinks that my injection is not working 🤣
So a forest is a area where hunting takes place. Not necessariĺy a wooded area.
