Will Putney is a fucking legend. There isn't a record he's worked on that isn't fantastic. Love that guy and his bands
and to that, I must admit I was shocked to see how young he is! I've been seeing his name for yeeeaaars
A legend in your mind lol
@@hudsonsirheshicks2653 yea, crazy how opinions work that way. Almost like everyone has their own ideas and thoughts.
@Science Fiction the most recent Unearth album? That wasn't Will bro. That was DL (ex-The Acacia Strain), who also helped write and produce the most recent All That Remains and Bury Your Dead albums
CJ is a deathcore god, human target is gonna be insane, love the singles
Na
I love the dude, but he's far from being a god
Artyom ngl in terms of deathcore vocalists, he’s right up there, obvs god is a bit of an overstatement but like when it’s all said and done, I expect him to be right up there
Putney has all my respect since I listened to HATE for first time. I will never understand how thick that album sounds.
Still one of the best sounding death metal / deathcore records of the past decade
yesssss. that album is bone crushing
Yoo so true Rene. Should've known a deathcore God like you would appear here. ✴🤘
zachmongoe hahahahaha my dude ♥️
Tienes toda la razón Rene. Simplemente Will es una maravilla de productor pero también como compositor en FFAA. Una grata sorpresa encontrarte aquí. Saludos bro
Lets not forget he does Fit For An Autopsy as well
he actually is a member of FFAA ;)
He’s in the band lol. He just doesn’t play live with the rest of them. That’s why the production is always under way + super good quality every album
@@Kjertinge read my one reply, I know
1:57 is the first time I've ever heard a recording of Cj's screams through a camera mic. He's much louder than I expected
sorry boi i have a video of them when I saw them playing Holy War right up front and there’s a part where he screams HOLY WAARRR and it’s out of the mic and i can hear it in the video
i had a vocal lesson with him once and holy fuck his growls are loud. his voice has a lot of volume, especially in his chest voice
I saw him way back in 2013 and he was fuckin wild, bar was small enough he could have went without a mic
LONG LIVE DEATHCORE!
LONG LIVE THY ART IS MURDER!
LONG LIVE WILL PUTNEY!
I can't wait for Human Target!
deathcore is my balls
I wanna see CJ, Alex Terrible and Phil Bozeman do a song together!
“JFAC voice.”
Massive shoutout. Davy sets such a high bar for this craft.
Davy doesn’t get the credit he deserves. MASSIVE power coming from that dude.
Glad to come here and see mostly positive comments. Thy Art is killing it. I’m really happy that we’re getting some amazing Deathcore releases this year.
Thank you for this Kerrang
One more week bois let’s goooo 🤘🏼
This is honestly the only thy art is murder album that I've bought and honestly I was not disappointed great album!!
Nice Footage! It would be really cool to also have some insight on the guitar production of this record. The intro palm mutes in Human Target crushed me!
when he's describing the 'nicknames' of vocal styles when recording with Putney, i don't know if anyone else caught he said 'JFAC' which i can only assume means Job For a Cowboy [voice], which by extension means CJ's impression (not in a bad way) of J. Davey
Cool
The best heavy band to come from here in Oz 🤘
These guys are gods
CJ is one of the best metal vocalists I have ever heard.
Have you heard a band called Fit For An Autopsy? If not dude... You are missing something... They are freaking monsters!
Just yesterday listened them for the first time! Sounded really nice!
@@ristoherranen816 Listen to Black Mammoth from Rain City Sessions Live. Theres no difference 🤘 PURE talent.
Have you heard of infant annihilator...the frontmans vocals are just monsterous
Yeah, I have heard them, but I think I should hive them a proper listen. Vocals and drums are amazing tho!
everything this dude touches turns to gold. wish the new northlane was done by him :(
New Northlane is made by Nolly, wich is an excellent mixern he did last architects album, periphery albums....
Love both personally
@@str1897 don't know why but nollys mixes bore me. It has no character.
@@Raksh95 Nolly focuses more on Realism and percussion rather than excitment
@@GarettChamberlin although digital it is balanced it has no striking details that are exposed by Putney. Almost like a predictable sound when listening over and over again. Breakdowns would doubt the same etc
Northlane’s new stuff was disappointing for me :’(
i want thy art and carifex to make an album togther that would be so sick
@Science Fiction true
Will is musical David Cross and I love it
1 week away😈
so glad to hear CJ is performing more vocal ranges with this album, vs just miss like Holy War mostly was. I still miss the variety from Hate. those low gutturals and those piercing highs. gimme
CJ is a fkng genious!
I love the new record Human Target. Fuck the haters, this is my jam and it rips so hard.
TOMORROW.. Can't fuckin wait.
The macbook seems great for scrolling through lyrics
1:22 Looiive
💜💜💜💜💜💜
I just this guy.
Knowing producer fix
Cj’s voice is evil and I love it
I love thy art is murder and CJ's vocals however the instruments in a lot of songs are very similar, which kind of repetitive I would love to see them do more with the actual instruments.
I clicked thinking this might be a cover of the SFU song.
fuck yea CJ. push that shit out
What's the song at the end??
2:17 hes shouting L O L
Cj is a gold tier human being.
Dude I never knew they were Aussies!
glen benton = we love you
Hundreds flannel? Fucking tight. I wanna be Will when I grow up.
wILL P we talked in instagram ...tks
4:18 why do so many people say thy art is murderS? 🤔🤔🤔
Im pretty sure he just kinda slurred his words abit, seeings how long the S sound lingered between words
He said my vocalists and working with Thy art is Murder’s. Not Murders. He’s speaking specifically about CJ not the band it self
1:59
Either a skater guy or Elvis The Alien
what happened to lee ?
On hiatus
Where my bro on drums wtf did he leave the band
Dave Jr yeah, Jesse Beahler’s the drummer now
"cool and different" in deathcore while IA and signs of a swarm are listed in the same genre
Did will fuck over CJ on the new album? full betrayal and loss of respect
his screams remind me of danil filth of cradle of filth
CJ McMahon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mitch Lucker
you can't compare them, they are totally different
They are very different, but I prefer CJ
I know afterwards it's like "let the shitstorm begin" but since I am a Death Metalhead, I will say it's foolish to compare a wannabe - and to my ear shitty vocalist to one of todays best Death Metals/ Extreme Metals - singers - I am Death Metal and won't obey to fashion-related terminology^^ it's either one to me - best vocalists. Lucker was not brutal, he just PRETENDED to be. Travis of Cattle said "every idiot can sound brutal, doing "this" *folds hands to a funnel* to the mic," so it's no real contest in my eyes - but so it is only MY PERSONAL opinion
Two out of five for the album re: Metalsucks LOL
album was boring and cringey lyrics
