I just avoid twitter/X at all cost. That place is just so dark and disgusting to me, humanity gets lost in there. Young teenagers who are under 18, make X accounts just to hate on a group, write things there that they will probably at some point regret and cringe at the things they posted bc that's exactly how it usually goes. Unless, you are a full time working adult but still somehow manage to have a hate X account just for kpop groups...... please, take a deep breath and reconsider how you want to live your life because that just shows usually how immature you are and can't respect others. BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, they're all great groups. Some people just need a better hobby and a serious life guidance. Btw, great video again Seb
honestly when someone asks me if i am a kpop stan, i simply say "I stan bts and i casually listen to kpop" im not into stanning other groups as for me this one group takes a LOT of my time and energy. but i give it a casual listen.
I don't stan bts but like i feel like they have a lot of content esp since they're becoming an older group and if you stared stanning them like kinda late in their career like 2020 lol
True i started stanning them in 2020. I just can't seem to stan any other group , time is an important factor but also I couldn't emotionally connect with any other group. Though i casually listen to kpop i wouldn't spend my time energy or money on them.

i'm really sorry but i've been a kpop stan since 2017 and i still get confused and nowadays since i'm older, upset, that kpop artists' relationships being revealed are called DATING SCANDALS. like HOW are they scandalous?! yall dating too stfu cuz like i'm nigerian and there's this culture of having the absolute nosiest neighbours and teachers that literally report you to your parents if they see you even make eye contact with a boy and this one time i went to buy something from the store and met a classmate that was in the area and i came home to find that our neighbour saw me talking to him and called my mom and i got hit, grounded, and my entire family was called and i still get scolded to this day abt that one time i 'smeared my father's name' like IMAGINE HOW THE ARTISTS MUST FEEL TO BE JUDGED LIKE THAT!!!!!! why cant we just be like oh 'dating news' or 'relationship revealed' or smth i cant with kpop culture sometimes bffr guys

Stanning one group should not be seen as problematic, some people just don’t want to stan 45 different groups. I can’t even keep up with the only group I stan which is bts 😂 I’m a college student so I barely go on Twitter and am unaware of the drama going on in kpop. My advice is to stay away from twitter, my best decision is not being too active on twitter because every day I used to see a hate tweet on my tl with lots of hateful people. That just ruins my day so I stay mostly on UA-cam. I keep up with bts through weverse announcements, there’s no need to engage with other fandoms on twitter. I never understood fan wars, twitter is infested with lots of mean girls and guys who won’t say what they say online in real life.
exactly! As long as they're not hating on anyone I don't see a problem. I personally only really stan BTS, Ateez, and recently Seventeen. Even then, I still listen to other groups if I hear a good song from them bc not everyone has the same taste.

I don't engage with any fan wars going on in twitter ( I just read some and then ignore them ), I don't take notice with recent dramas in kpop world because sometimes ignorance is a bliss. my own way to show support to my fav is by listening to their music and watch their content and that's all for me. I'm proud of that
@@flssmssll that's all it should be about tho. Supporting the music (not forcefully either) and watching their content when we can. Everything else should even be any of our business because they're humans too and should have more privacy than they actually do. I actually only keep up with Ateez content now but idk how it's gonna be when bts comes back bc I absolutely loved Run bts but more fun for me I guess😂
@@btsmultistan I actually stan bts in 2016 when bst released lmaoo but then after years I couldn't keep up with their content so I just stream their mvs 😓🤣 when covid strike in 2019 and we had a lockdown, trust me I watch every single bts content 24 hours and feels like I was back in my baby army moment lol. now with bts in military and no more content, I watch their old ones like bangtan gayo, run bts, bon voyage and in the soop. and I try to get to know about other groups too like apink, itzy and ateez 😂

I started with bts (and kpop) at the end of 2021 so I had a lot to catch up on😅 I mostly just watched Run bts and I think I watched all episodes in like a week😭 mostly bc I had insomnia with nothing better to do but that's about it. I of course went and listened to every song I could find and still haven't found them all. Then I found Stray Kids and loved their music too, but didn't get too far with them since I was trying out different groups. Then I think it was last year that I found Ateez and that's when I immediately decided to stan them. They definitely changed me😅 Even went as far as to change my ult to them. Although I still love bts and stray kids too. I prefer bgs but some gg songs are pretty good. But it's always nice to discover other groups' music as well. I just don't commit to actually stanning that many groups
I guess, since I'm only ARMY, that's my toxic trait? Lmao I listened to several groups when I first got into BTS thinking they'd be a gateway to the rest of KPop...heh, not really. The songs I heard aren't BAD, there is so much hard work and talent in other groups! But Bangtan does something no else does for me, and that goes beyond KPop

As a k-pop stan, I'm ashamed to admit how much fans get involved trying to follow every bit of news and drama going on just to figure out if you should keep following a group you like or not. I'm not consistent on it myself but I do try to separate the art from the artists. I'm not gonna go out hating on people who liked a song or had their lives changed by someone's music and make that person live in shame for enjoying what they enjoyed because 10+ years later, the artist turned out to be a POS or alleged POS.

You know sometimes I feel like I’m not a good kpop stan until i see all of the drama going on all over social media. From fandom wars to scandals. I’m also very much a baby kpop stan and clearly have only scratched the surface of the genre. I am confident in stating that i am a Straykids fan. But i have listen to other groups songs in passing to expand my knowledge of what is out there. Groups as: Ateez, TxT, The Boyz, BtoB, EXO, Red Velvet, Twice, NewJeans, Nmixx, NCT, and many more. Do i have a habit of returning to my favorite songs or groups. Yes but I don’t think i am ignoring or ignorant to the entire culture. I hope this all makes sense. I just wanna enjoy good music made by talented people 💕

I’m proud that even when I’m on ig, twitter or TikTok I almost never experienced like some disgusting and toxic behavior. Like I mostly stan SKZ but I’m staying most of the time on really good side of the fandom as a K-pop stan generally.

As a HYBE fan, I just don't feel like checking out other groups just yet. Hell, I only follow HYBE BGs, not including BND and TWS because they're still new to me. I've seen content and heard music here and there but none so far are making me, I guess, curious enough to fully check them out and stan them especially since HYBE already has my ult (&TEAM) and I'm satisfied staying there for now. I'm not someone who's looking for new music to listen to every hour and as someone who's broke both in money and time, I'd rather spend it to those I already like. If I do end up liking a new group, I'll like them then, just not now.
For me it's bandwagon 'fans'. Especially during accusations against an idol. It's fine to support who is supposedly the victim but quite a few forget about innocent until proven guilty. People read 'accusation' and probably don't understand what it means and immediately start hating on the idol when they don't even know if the accusation is true. Sometimes I think its just people who say their fans and used the chance to hate on the idol suddenly. Most of the time the idol gets kicked out and suddenly the accusation is proven false, those 'fans' just remain silent pretending they weren't part of that hate bandwagon. I would rather stay in the middle until evidence and proper statements release before I go supporting any side.
7:46 I think it was Karina for dating an actor and not someone for Physical 100. Wrote a letter to those "fans" and even then they got mad at her. Jihyo got into a rumor with Yu Sung-Bin from Physical 100 but fans were chill about that.
Problematic kpop artists? It depends who we're talking about and what line they crossed. I'm sure some people would call certain kpop artists I still like and support "problematic" but honestly idgaf 😂 "drug scandals" concerning pot and unfounded "bullying" accusations with no proof in particular shouldn't make someone problematic, and neither should a choice of boyfriend or how sexualized their performances are. Like at least have legitimate reasons as to why they should be completely derailed, otherwise you're no better than a delusional fan, or worse a hater bully 🤷♀️
