Great ideas!! My parents always made stockings for us and still do (I’m 40 this year 🫣) I’ve done the same for my kids too and none of us ever bought « junk » so it’s always expensive but our favourite so we keep with it. I’m in Canada, so we often add winter items like nice gloves/ mittens, cool socks… for kids, I like to add to a « collection » like schleich animals or special edition calico critters. One year, I had a hazel village animal visible from to stocking. Really cute and exciting for littles.
We always had two stockings growing up and I’ve done it for my offspring. One gets a few small items/toys and select treats of beef jerky, sunflowers seeds (I don’t buy those very often or in “flavors”), and a few pieces of candy that they specifically like. The other stocking is filled with citrus fruit and an apple or two that they like. The softer fruit stays in the fridge for them so it doesn’t get smushed and we share those.
Now that my 2nd child is 3 it’s surprised me how far I will go to ensure he doesn’t argue with his older sister over toys. lol. loved all these ideas and your feedback. Thank you for sharing.

I would rather purchase from a mom and pop store. There is a wonderful toy store in Ojai, California that I will purchase some of these things from instead of Amazon or Walmart. Please shop at mom and pop stores.

Angela, I would love to hear your ideas of experiences to give people. We give the gift of experiences to teens and adults in our lives instead of stuff. Things like movie tickets or Escape Room tickets, etc. I would love to hear your ideas.
Completely agree, as a mom with 7 kids, this is an insane amount of money to spend on stocking stuffers.....I'm pretty sure most of us don't have over $1000 to spend on just stocking stuffers. Mama's don't worry about posts like this, these influencers are all a part of programs that pay them for these 'recommendations' your kids don't need you to spend a fortune on amazon to have a good Christmas. A few simple items from the dollar store and some treats is enough, please don't listen to people saying it's junk.

I watched this video and then her video was suggested from last year and the magnet wands, the magnifying glasses and the telescope were all the same suggestions. It's hard to trust influencers when they post the same things. It seems these items must give good affiliate links or something.
