@@sqrxfe I don't know any specifics of what you are struggling with, but I will explain how I came up with my ideas for this piece.
Before you write any music, I suggest starting with the basic components of your piece and thinking about what kind of feeling you want to convey to the audience. Choose if you want to write the piece in a major key or minor key, 3/4 or 4/4 time signature, whether you want the piece to sound fast and energetic or slow and soothing, etc, in a way that best reflects this mood you want to create. If you have a specific prompt you must follow for your Composition 1, then do some research and find some examples of music online that fit the prompt as inspiration. Using different chord progressions throughout your piece might also help you create your initial melody, which basically just means cycling through a number of chords in order over and over again. If this all feels very daunting, take inspiration from your favorite songs or classical pieces.
Either way, if you don't think you will be able to write anything down on the page yet, do more research on other famous works of music and different musical techniques, while also considering that you need to create a second composition in a contrasting style.
      Hope this helps!
