Just got on a waiting list for a new van. The Toyota dealership basically said you get what you get as far a trim. You can pass on what they get in and wait for the next one but was told it would be about a year before our name comes up. Other dealerships in the area are charging 7k over msrp for any trim level but you can get one in a few months.

I live in Ventura county Southern CA. We have 3 dealerships around within 1-25 miles. I can get one from any of the three within 1-2months. The first dealership wants $8Kmark-up plus $2K dealer add-on. The second dealership wants $8Kmark-up , no dealer add-on. The third dealership wants $7.5Kmark-up, no dealer add-on. All three wants $500 deposit.
I called lots of dealerships, upto 500mile radius.
The best one I was able to find if I really want it soon was 60 mile away. This dealership has ZERO mark-up, but with $6K dealer add-on. The dealer does not give any time line, all I was told was, "you'd be surprise" . NO deposit. So I put my name in the list. I received a call within three weeks, but that did not go through. I Decided to wait again. I received another call after 2weeks. They had me choose from 4 different ones. I chose the VIN# with the LE trim, FWD, 8 seater. Just waiting for it to arrive, possibly within 2-3 weeks.

@@sajithmenon85 I have not gotten my Sienna LE. IF I get it, it will be $46K MSRP plus $6K dealer add-ons. I was told that van will arrive 2nd week of December, and I verified that by checking the VIN#. Hopefully, they don't sell it to other customer. I am not 100% that the van has been assigned to me, because the prior one that I am supposed to get, they sold it to someone. They called me while I was driving on the freeway on the way to the dealership to sign paper works when my phone rung letting me know that they just sold it.

Yes, I would guess barring some crazy shift in geopolitical conditions (which could always happen...), I think it'll be 2-3 years before the used market becomes more reasonable again. New car supply has to recover first, and then get through at least one round of lease returns to restock the used market.

We're comparing the highlander and sienna now, leaning more to the highlander has we need the ground clearance and the 2" tow receiver vs the 1 1/4 receiver. The woodland sienna looks promising, but no dealer around here has one we can look at here in Ontario, we're not sure how the towing receiver is mounted, if its the same as the XLE Sienna than we have the same issue with bike racks etc. hitting the ground when we go up a hill.

Woodland edition is US only (and limited production numbers too). We don't get it at all in Canada. No Platinum in Canada either. Pretty sure the tow hitch mounts the same an all trim levels, and I have certainly seen claims that it is quite low to the ground and can be a problem with steep drive ways and such. I am still waiting for delivery on my 2023 Sienna XSE AWD (currently estimating June 2023).

My chair ways 425lbs and I way 125lbs and I 5' 3" tall when standing in my chair. Would the rear shocks need to be re-enforced? I had a 2018 Honda Pilot that was wheelchair accessible for VMI and it was a disaster. I recently sold it back to where I bought it from. I should have gone with Toyota in the first place. And tires will cost more, the ride will be worse, the rims more likely to get damaged. I certainly would not want 20" rims. A friend bought a Tesla 3 and opted for the 20" rims at quite a bit more cost (it also comes with larger brakes and hence you can't even switch to smaller rims anymore). They sure regret it. They have had multiple rims replaced already due to damage because there is so little rubber between the road and the rim.

Here's the main list of cons and why It might be better to go for another Company or wait for them to fix the cons on this list which is possible since Toyota is a good company and really does try to listen to complaints hence the reason for this Comment.
    1. Rear windshield wiper on the bottom should be tucked away on top like in the previous model.
    2. While it's great that they offer an integrated Nav, sys, the fact that it's not indented into the dashboard makes it difficult to see when driving and it's sunny outside
    3. Put monitors behind the headrest instead of 1 big monitor in the middle or at least offer the Navigation sys without the TV monitor Included so customers can purchase aftermarket screens like on the Chrysler Pacifica.
    4. Middle seats not design to be removable. My suggestion make the rear seats removable and make the middle row able to slide all the way back into the position where the rear seats go into for a larger cargo area
    5. If it's not technically possible at this point to offer a V6 then offer a V5 Model to give it a bit more power since the V4 struggles up hills when it's fully occupied with average large and heavy families like in America.
    6. Offer a model that would be good for TAXI or Private car service drivers etc.. since they are also consumers and offer a fully black interior for Customers purchasing the vehicles for commercial use.
    7. Offer the stitching in red or at least black instead of an orange color that doesn't match with most things.
    lol' I would add an 8, 9 & 10 but that's enough for now...
